Key Lime Time is a comfortable, tastefully decorated, beach house on the first tier in The Plantation. The boardwalk to the beach is located at the end of our driveway. You have easy access to the beach without paying beachfront prices. The community pool and tennis court are two blocks away and an easy walk. There is a great view of the Gulf of Mexico from the deck. We enjoy sitting out in the evening and watching the stars - we often see the Milky Way.
Parking is under the cover of the house on a concrete pad. This keeps the cars out of the weather and provides a place for kids to play outside if it is raining. Free long distance telephone service is provided. Key Lime Time is a Non-Smoking property. The Plantation is a gated community with limited access.
The beach is never crowded - many times we are the only ones on the beach in the early mornings. A favorite activity with kids and grandkids is riding bikes on the bike paths - sometimes to the commercial district of St. George for a meal or to let the kids play on the playground. At least one afternoon we go into quaint Apalachicola (a 20 minute drive) and visit our favorite oyster bar, or go for sodas at the old-fashioned soda fountain shop, or sit on the porch at the Gibson Inn and enjoy a cocktail.
If you never been to St. George you are in for a treat. We used to go to Destin but once we tried St. George - we never went back.
