The master suite also includes a wrap around balcony for you to enjoy jungle, ocean and a small waterfall running along the property. Dominical hosts an internet cafe, along with several bars, restaurants, and discos.
Available in Domincal is a gift shop, surf board rentals, and a few wonderful restaurants/ bars like the Roca Verde with the Saturday night disco, Hammerheads, San Clemente, Thrusters, Pacos, Fish Lips, and Tortilla Flats. For fine dining there is the La Parcela, Balcon Uvita, and Rio Mar.
Explore the under water world of Costa Rica with the Mystic Dive Center (scuba diving at Ballena under Water National Park and Cano Island). Jungle, canopy, and nature (ECO) tours are guided at the Hacienda Baru Wildlife Refuge, only 10 minutes away from the house. (Nayauca WaterFalls Tour) horseback ride provides a fabulous home cooked lunch. The tour takes you by horseback for a few miles to a lush waterfall which plunges into a large swimming area. You can swim underneath these falls, so don't forget the swim trunks.
The Sky House is located approximately three miles south of the village of Dominical. This is a private home nestled on two acres of rainforest with many exotic flowers and trees for your pleasure. The home is situated a short way up a mountain in the San Martin development, which affords its visitors cool breezes and spectacular views of the sea and Canos Island, where Jurassic Park was filmed. The lot is accessible with a two wheel drive vehicle.
Two master suites, three spacious bathrooms, air-conditioned bed rooms, stone-floored living room and kitchen. A breakfast bar and large archway separate the living room from the kitchen, which features hand-crafted, exotic hardwood cabinets and shelves. The master suite has a large, luxurious shower with floor to ceiling view of the rainforest canopy and a wrap-around balcony with scrolled, wrought-iron railings.
Be lulled to sleep by rushing waterfalls and gently awakened by exotic songbirds in this lush romantic hideaway situated on 6998 square meters (nearly two acres) of beautifully landscaped grounds.
Each floor has exceptional ocean views. The swimming beach is an easy five-minute walk; or explore the Pacific coastline for the hundreds of deserted pristine beaches nearby. A must see is the Playa Ventana (window beach) where caves can be explored during low tide and fill with water during high tide.
This is the perfect home for bird and wildlife viewing. The master suite, which nestles high in the canopy of your own pristine rainforest has its' own bar and a 180 degree balcony with a telescope to view the ocean or stars.

Activities: Dominical and the surrounding area offer many activities and tours that are readily accessible;
(class four) white water rafting on the Rio San Isidro, sport fishing, horseback riding, sea and or river kayaking, nature/canopy tours, scuba diving, snorkeling, and surfing just to name a few. There are some small grocery stores in Dominical and Uvita. And a few large ones in the town of San Isidro, which is a highly recommended scenic drive about 40 minutes away into the mountains.
Area: Getting there: You may wish to fly into San Jose and drive to Dominical via San Isidro, but you should do it during the day time for the fabulous mountain views. The roads are curvy and it is better to drive it during the day. Some people like to drive via Jaco and Quepos from San Jose but it takes more time and the road from Quepos to Dominical is 18 miles of gravel. Some people prefer to take the short flights/hops to Quepos and rent a car. But the best roads are from Dominical south. The airport in Palmar Norte is about a 40 minute drive. It is a newly paved road and a easy drive of about 30 miles north along the coast to Dominical. San Jose drive to Dominical is about three and a half to four hours. Tip of the day... for rental cars at the San Jose Airport go to the local car rental row across from the Hampton Inn at the Airport. The best rates and cars are available from at least five different local companies located there, such as Economy Rental and Solid Rental. You do not really need a reservation for a car there. You can walk in and find a good deal. The large national brand rental companies are very overpriced by comparison. For example a four wheel drive GMC Tracker, a smaller SUV (like a blazer or Jimmy) was $65/day at Solid vs $100/day at Avis. Again go to the rental car row across from the Hampton Inn and make a deal. There are long term rental operations available in the local paper Tico Times with rates as low as $30 per day but these are typically older SUVs 1989-95 models. You might check the Nacion News or Tico Times for car rental information on line. You will probably need to call in advance to get the bargain basement rentals.
