Do you want to be really close to where it's happening but like your privacy too? Than this is the vacation spot for you! This is a very clean, quiet, two bedroom and one bath cottage just a block from Silver Lake in Mears. The cottage is completely furnished, sleeps six, and includes a fully furnished kitchen, refrigerator, central air, satellite TV, DVD, washer & dryer, stereo and is children friendly. You are walking distance to Silver Lake and all the attractions including the famous Silver Lake Sand Dunes ORV Area which overlooks beautiful Lake Michigan. There are go karts, bumper cars, bumper boats, miniature golf, arcade, wave runners, paddle boats, ski and pontoon boats, Jeeps, quads, sand rails and more for you to rent, or you can bring your own. Rentals are are all within walking distance. You have full access to the association pool, play and picnic areas. The property is large, children can safely play and ride bikes and if you like, bring a fishing pole and fish in the private canals surrounding the property – front and rear. Children can ride bicycles around the area because it’s safe, you’re on a cul-de-sac. You can ride bikes to the Sable Point Light House on Lake Michigan and enjoy a sunset overlooking the Lake.

The cottage includes 2 boat docks on 2 canals, one on each side of the property, both with access to Silver Lake, perfect for your personal water craft a fishing boat or a 16-19' speed boat.
The association has its own private boat launch available for you to use. Go tubing, water skiing or just cruise around on Silver Lake. Boat over to the Sand Dunes hike up the dunes and sand surf down, sunbathe, picnic, swim, or go for a sunset cruise and watch the sunset. After a little water play, go play in the Silver Lake Sand Dunes ORV area, and ride your off road vehicles, quads, motorcycles, sand rails, Jeeps, buggies or machines. Watch the sand rails fly over the dunes, watch others try to climb “TEST’ hill in their toys. If you don’t have an ORV go rent a Jeep and try yourself. If that isn’t enough – go see the nearby Sand Drags races. Afterwards, enjoy a fire roasting marshmallows, or enjoy the naturally shaded Lanai, overlooking the rear canal and boat dock, enjoy a favorite beverage after a full day playing and exploring. There is a lockable fenced area for storing bikes, scooters, and the like – bring a lock. Saturday to Saturday rentals, maximum persons 6.

Great place to retreat to and enjoy your favorite beverage after a hard day 4 wheeling in the Sand Dunes, or after a bike ride to the Light House on Lake Michigan, or spending the day on Silver Lake or Lake Michigan. - Water View: A bit of a view of Silver lake, canals on both sides of the property with docks for small water craft - Jet Skis, fishing boats, speed boats 16-19' depending on the height of your boat as you must navigate under a small bridge.

- No Pets Allowed: We're sorry, please don't bring them here, your on vacation. (We love animals too.)
- Kid Friendly: Bring a fishing pole, buy a few worms at the general store down the street, and I guarantee you will catch a fish in the canals. (Not a single person that has tried has failed. In fact they usually catch them in 5 minutes or less - your luck may vary.)
- Smoking Not Allowed: Smoking is permitted outside the cottage. PLEASE dispose of accordingly.
