Do you want to be close to where it's happening, where the action is, but like your privacy too? Than this is the vacation spot for you! The cottage is very clean and quiet, two bedrooms and one bath just a block from Silver Lake in Mears. The cottage is completely furnished, sleeps six, and includes a fully furnished kitchen, refrigerator, central air, satellite, 32" Flat screen HDTV, HD DVD, 100 watt surround sound stereo, washer & dryer and of course is children friendly. You’re walking distance to Silver Lake and all the attractions including the famous Silver Lake Sand Dunes ORV Area which overlooks beautiful Lake Michigan. There are go karts, bumper cars, bumper boats, miniature golf, an arcade, wave runners, paddle boats, and pontoon boats, Jeeps, quads, sand rails and more for you to rent, or bring your own. Rentals are all within walking distance. Don't forget there are several golf courses nearby for your enjoyment as well. You have full access to the association pool, play and picnic areas. The property is large, children can safely play and ride bikes because, basically you’re on a cul-de-sac. If you like, bring a fishing pole and fish Silver Lake or in the private canals surrounding the property – front and rear. You can ride bikes to the Sable Point Light House and enjoy a sunset overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan.
The cottage includes 2 boat docks on 2 canals, one on each side of the property, both access Silver Lake, perfect for your personal water craft, a fishing boat or speed boat - 16-19'. The association has its own private boat launch available for you to use and we include a paddle boat for your use; bring life jackets.
Bring your off road vehicles, quads, motorcycles, sand rails, Jeeps, buggies, and experience the Silver Lake Sand Dunes ORV area overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan. Picnic on the beach, swim in Lake Michigan, than go 4 wheeling.
Go tubing, water skiing or just cruise around on Silver Lake. Boat over to the Sand Dunes, hike up the dunes, sand surf down, sunbathe, picnic, swim, or go for a sunset cruise and watch the sunset behind the dunes. After a dip in Silver Lake, or a little water play, go play in the Silver Lake Sand Dunes ORV area, ride your favorite toy, off road vehicle, sand rails, Jeeps, buggies or machines. Watch the sand rails fly over the dunes, watch others try to climb “TEST’ hill in their toys. If you don’t have an ORV go rent a Jeep and try yourself. If that isn’t enough – go see the nearby Sand Drags races. Afterwards, enjoy a private fire, roast marshmallows, or enjoy the naturally shaded Lanai, overlooking the rear canal and boat dock, enjoy a favorite beverage after a full day playing and exploring. There is a lockable fenced area for storing bikes, scooters, and the like – bring a lock. Saturday to Saturday rentals, sleeps up to 6 persons.

- Kid Friendly : Bring a fishing pole, buy a few worms at the general store down the street, and I guarantee you will catch a fish in the canals. (Everyone catches fish, in fact they usually catch them in 5 minutes or less - your luck may vary.)
- Smoking Not Allowed : Smoking is permitted outside the cottage. PLEASE dispose of accordingly.

This is a great location to walk or bike to all the local activities - Go-karting, arcade, miniature golf, shops, there is so much to do, time fly’s by. Everything is reasonably priced, so your hard earned dollars go a long way, you get your monies worth. You'll make wonderful memories, we do, all the time.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
We enjoy going to the MI State Park Silver Lake Sand Dunes ORV, riding bikes to the Light House on Lake Michigan, (locals call it the Candle Stick), beaching boats and Sea Doos across Silver Lake on the sand dunes, picnicking. Watching all the unique sand rails and toys go by while eating ice cream at the local store.
