  I had group of 7 people with me. We had a great time in this Chalet. Very clean nice cozy place. View from Deck is really great.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing.

  The house itself and access to lake are quite appealing. Other aspects are less desirable. To list a few: 1. the listing advertises a fireplace and an outdoor grill. We arrived to find no firewood or charcoal. Two features we looked forward to utilizing (our trip was in late October). When we emailed the renter he replied back a day and a half later indicating that he was not responsible for providing those items and that we could drive 25 minutes each way into town to acquire them. 2. Although it may seem trivial, certain other essentials were not provided. We had to bring our own linens and towels. There was no dish soap and being the courteous visitors that we are, we had to purchase this on our own to adequately clean up after ourselves. 3. The cleanliness of the home left something to be desired. The grill was filthy, screen door was in disrepair, property had rubbish in places and we found a "previously used" sour ball hard candy in plain sight in living room 60 seconds upon first entering. To boot, I'm certain we left the home cleaner than we found it and followed the owners stringent guidelines (garbage disposal) yet had to wait the full 30 days to receive our security deposit back. I proposed to my fiancé on the lake in the canoe so it's not going to spoil our visit overall, but there is room for improvement....

  Owner response: Even a 5 star rated property like mine has a confused guest every now and then. My property is clearly advertised that firewood, items for the grill are provided by the guest. For safety purposes these items cannot be left on the property and guests must take these items with them when they depart. This was explained to this guest prior to her booking as well as after. Linens are also advertised as not provided by me since most, if not all of my guests, prefer to use their own sheets, towels and pillow cases. For those that don't, I do provide linen service for a nominal fee. This too was explained to this guest. She did not want to pay a fee or bring her own linens and was angry when informed about the linen fee. Yet, she still booked her dates with me...? Dish soap, bathroom items such as hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, trash can liners, etc are provided by me and they were for this guest. In checking through my reviews, you will see that there has not been a complaint about cleanliness. The housekeeping service at the chalet is excellent and was for this guest as well. Housekeeping services are provided to the chalet at any time, a service this guest did not take advantage. They did have a wonderful time and memorable place to begin their engagement and like marriage, I am always open to improvement to provide the best stay possible for my guests.

  Went up to the chalet with a few of the boys for a long weekend... We were extremely impressed with the quality of the house and gorgeous views of the lake and foliage. Patrick was incredibly helpful with all of our questions and I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in getting away for a few days. If you plan on fishing, may i suggest using a Rat-l-trap... caught 4 nice size largemouths in about an hour.

  My family stayed at this very convenient chalet on a weekend getaway over 2012 Labor Day weekend. Had a great time, went canoeing, caught some fish, very clean house. Would recommend....Had great communication with the owner, who was very helpful.

  This house worked out perfectly for us - I definitely recommend it! We are a group of six in our early 20's wanting to get away from the city just for a little before summer officially ended. The house is right by the lake, and so we had the option of using the canoe. It is also a close walk to the beach section of the lake, which has a coal grill and picnic tables. Outlets are about 30 minutes away; nearest supermarket about 20. Various pamphlets in the house outline a bunch of different activities you can do nearby: rafting, hiking, horseback riding, ziplining, waterparks, etc. The house itself was very clean and came fully equipped with all basic living amenities. In addition, all appliances and electronics worked without a problem. The owner of the property provided extremely good customer service. Communicating with him before our arrival was great. He always emailed back right away and was happy to answer any questions. Great place to enjoy the outdoors, BBQ on the deck, and catch some sun!!

  The perfect location.....chalet extremly clean and well maintained, the private lake view is unvailable and gorgeous.... The chalet has everything that you need and the most important thing quiet ,serene and very warm.....The homeowner is a great person , he help me with everything and every single question.... arrived there thursday night and left the property sunday morning...i do recommend this Chalet to everyone and i am deft going back again.......

  Spent 4 days and had a great time.Loved the veiw of the lake,the open floor plan and fireplace.You could walk to the beach or just take the canoe out.Fishing was very good ( about 50 bass in 4 days) My wife also enjoyed the visits from the friendly deer each evening.Also enjoyed our visit to bushkill falls,a must see.A very nice and quiet area of the poconos.   We have nothing but wonderful things to say about this charming, cozy lakefront cottage. We got in late on Friday night but when we woke up Saturday morning we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful view from the loft bedroom. The backyard is wonderful for children, adults and dog. My children has such a great time chasing our pup around. We woke up on Sunday morning to nice group of Deer in the back yard. Wish we could have spend more time.

  House is very nice, clean, and well kept. Area is very nice. Lake is clean and very fishable. I would recommend to all. Only drawback is the lack of air conditioning. We were unfortunately staying during record heat (100 degree+ for three days) and it was uncomfortable inside. Sleeping in the loft during these conditions was not possible.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners.

  I stayed at this gorgeous chalet for a night before Easter weekend. The place was very clean and private. Basic necessities were included. We lit a fire in the fireplace and cooked outdoors on the grill and had a wonderful time. Hopefully we can come back soon!! Thank you!
