House is very nice, clean, and well kept. Area is very nice. Lake is clean and very fishable. I would recommend to all. Only drawback is the lack of air conditioning. We were unfortunately staying during record heat (100 degree+ for three days) and it was uncomfortable inside. Sleeping in the loft during these conditions was not possible.

I stayed at this gorgeous chalet for a night before Easter weekend. The place was very clean and private. Basic necessities were included. We lit a fire in the fireplace and cooked outdoors on the grill and had a wonderful time. Hopefully we can come back soon!! Thank you!

My friends and I met at this house for a weekend in February. The house was even prettier than in the pictures. The whole house had a very clean, crisp feel, and it was absolutely beautiful to wake up in the loft bed in the morning and look out the giant windows over the lake. We were able to take our dog for nice walks and had easy access to ski areas. We would definitely go back.
Owner response:Beautiful location to spend spring time! Make your reservation now. I will be glad to help you enjoy your stay.

This is a great lake house with beautiful views and a comfy, casual decor. Waking up to the lakeview is so peaceful and serene, makes you want to stay there forever. My kids LOVE it and never want to go home. There is a small canoe and two fishing poles provided but you will need to bring your own lures etc. so you can be fully prepared for some relaxing fishing on the lake. The owner is available on a moments notice and there is a house phone available for local calls. Cell phone service is very limited on the mountain but I could use the internet on my blackberry to stay connected via email. There is a very steep driveway but would recommend parking at the very top of the driveway and walking down....Could be a problem for someone who doesn't have good balance or agility. it's an adventure but one that our kids love, except the final climb to the top on the day we left. There are plenty of deer that visit often throughout the day, we even saw a few deer running down to get a drink of water at the lake and went for a quick dip into the lake. We did venture to Bushkill Falls, an incredible place to hike. We recommend an early arrival to the Falls as it gets crowded around lunchtime but the hike was a great way to spend time with family. Thanks again for a great stay....nervous about writing this review because I would like to keep this place a secret..

My family and I just got back from a wonderful week in this great chalet. The house is very clean and well-kept. The owner was very helpful and responsive to questions...both before and during the rental period. The view from the deck is great...a view that is also available from most rooms in the house! The driveway is a bit steep, but really not difficult to manage, and nothing that 4-wheel drive can't easily handle. For those without 4-wheel drive, there is a parking place at the top of the driveway, and a short walk down the hill takes you to the front door. The house is not 25 minutes from civilization, as one previous reviewer mentioned. But as it is on a mountain, and right by a lake, it is also not on a major highway! There is a nice little market and deli...not to mention a fabulous ice cream place...5 miles from the house, and the main road in the area is just 2 miles further out. You quickly get used to the distance, though, and the windy mountain roads are in good condition, and LOTS of fun! One of our favorite parts of the week, though, were the deer. There were several groups of deer that came up to the deck every evening looking for a handout. We actually started planning our days so that we would be there when the deer came! Hopefully we'll get to go back in the fall some time, as I'm sure it's simply gorgeous!

There were six of us. We had the best time for New Years Eve. It snowed it was perfect. The house was very nice. Right on the lake enough room for everyone. I felt like I was @ home. We had the fireplace going every day and into the night. The deer came around the house as well. Drive way was a little rough with the snow. But, other then that the house it self was great. Did not want to come home!! However, it was cold but the house very warm.

Great place to get away for a relaxing weekend/vacation. I loved waking up and looking out the expanse of windows through all the trees to the lake. So serene!!!! We enjoyed walking around the development and fishing in the lake during the day and sitting by the fire at night. We will definitely be back again!

Our first surprise was that this property was NOT the 15 miles suggested from Shawnee Ski resort. In fact, it was a good 25 minutes from civilation. Definately not a place for pizza delivery! Thank goodness we arrived in the daytime b/c there is NO driveway. You have to park on a landing and scale down a mountain to get into the chalet, literally! Not fun when you have a car full of things. People that are not well able or with kids beware of this. It was snowy and icy, not cleared and the steps up to the chalet were also horrific. My husband even fell back down the steps, it was so icy!! Once inside, the chalet was gorgeous and comfortable. The fireplace was lovely and the loft bedroom overlooked the whole lake which was both relaxing, romantic and serene. It was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking gear. The two bedrooms downstairs were nice as well. We would love to go back to fish----in the spring or summer!
