If you have relaxation in mind, "Beach Nuts" Cottage is your vacation answer. Enjoy sitting on your private dock with a bench and listen to the cry of the loons. Sit around a beach fire (wood provided) surrounded by vintage metal chairs.

Green Lake is shallow and clear in front of the cottage, so it is ideal for young ones, yet only a short wade will bring avid swimmers to deeper water. Access to a rowboat and canoe are available and shared with the cabin next door. There is also an anchored buoy out from the dock for those who wish to bring their own boats. Fishing is also popular on Green Lake, excellent for bass, pike, and "pan fish."

This shaded cottage is circa 1923, fifth generation, with original charm, however with many updates. A steep open beamed ceiling and inside brick chimney fireplace make it cozy. The wrap-around screened porch lakeside is a perfect place for family dinners and has a porch swing. "Beach Nuts" sits on a gently sloped hill with great views. Two bedrooms have double beds and one has bunk beds. Parking for two vehicles is provided behind the cottage.

"Beach Nuts" is just minutes from Interlochen Center for the Arts, a world renowned school for talented young musicians and artists. It also is a venue for famous performers during the summer, from classical music to classic rock. Interlochen is also only a 15 minute drive to Traverse City, which offers fine dining, shopping, and outdoor recreation. It is also less than an hours drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Seashore and its pristine shores, and the quaint towns of Leelanau, Petosky, Glen Arbor, and Charlevoix. There is something for everyone in this area, from the nature enthusiast, the music lover... to the shopping fanatic.

There is NOT a phone or television on site (remember - relaxation.) Sheets and towels are NOT provided, blankets, bedspreads and pillows are provided. If "Beach Nuts" does not have all of the amenities you desire, inquire about "Cedar Roost" log cabin which shares the property, but has its own beach area and dock. Small dogs are accepted in both cottages (no cats please.)
