We have stayed many times at 508 and always enjoyed our visit. Its proximity to the beach is great and we love nothing better than to cycle the path along the sea front. The hosts are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble and we are always greeted like old friends. As Brits we find the many TV channels subscribed to by the host as an added bonus because many other properties have very limited viewing.

Recommended for:Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

4/9/12 - 4/14/12 Frank & Sandy, There is way too much to see / do in the LA area and although we saw amazing things each day we will have to return to check off more from my list. This trip we did many Hollywood activities from a walking tour, bus tour and the Kodak Theater to the tour of Warner Brothers. After stressful driving we were always greatful that we had our Venice hideaway to return to. The bed /pillows were so comfortable! You've thought of every convenience / amenity to offer

Our little hotel 508 was very acurately depicted and very well equipped with all the thoughtful extras. A full kitchen with top-class cookware on display on the racks. Great tv, blue-ray dvd player, lots of movies music and books. I don't know what's going on with the bed but it was the best week's sleep I've had in years. A short walk to the beach, even shorter walk to Abbott Kinney blvd with lots of restaurants, liquor store and a cigar store. The Venice boardwalk is a real California experience. Sorry we did not get to meet Sandy but Frank was very helpful and very accomodating. I would certainly reccommed Hotel 508 to any of our friends and family. I am very sorry we missed happy hour with Frank; that will not happen next time. If only he would have flown us to Hollywood and back in his private helicopter. Larry and Chris

3/31/12 - 4/8/12 Frank & Sandy, We had such an amazing week! the atmosphere of Venice is one of a kink and we enjoyed every bit of it! We searched thoroughly to be close to our kids in Mare Vista. We wanted peace, parking and access to a place with a "Good Buzz". Frank and Sandy provided that with a space and features that exceeded our expectations. We had all we needed to take advantage of "THe Abbott Kinney Experience" and /or just stay "Home" and be refreshed. Time with Sandy and Frank is full of delightful dialogue. They are "Friends" without the obligations. We are coming back!!!

I live in Venice and rented this for my brother and his girlfriend. It is adorable, perfect for two, great atmosphere and perfectly placed between abbott kinney and the beach. It doesn't get much better than this adorable studio!

Even though the weather wasn't the greatest we still were able to do so much while we were here thanks to the perfect location & it was so nice having a place to call "home" when we were done for the day. 6/19-7/3-2010 Frank & Sandy - A very full two weeks, made much nicer by having a great place to stay. Hotel 508 worked out perfectly. We were able to range quite a distance in all directions and it was great to be able to return 'home', put our feet up. and just relax. Foi sensacional ter Frank e Sandy como anfitriões. Eles nos ajudaram com tudo, desde informações turisticas, dicas de restaurantes, museus... até formos convidados a uma bela cerveja e uma boa conversa! O ambiente é pequeno mas extremamente aconchegante e completo. Fica bem próximo a praia de Venice, e facilmente se chega a Santa MOnica de onibus ou bike. Os aredores são bem frequentados e bem proximo tens bons restaurantes e bares. Eu recomendo!

Dear Frank & Sandy, We Had a fab here in Venice Beach& it would never have been so great if we hadn't stayed here. Hotel 598 has been totally perfect for us-a true home away from home; and such a great location - Abbott Kinney is lively- we want to move here! We've had some lovely meals locally - SHIMA the Japanese restaurant being our favorite, and have sampled the local bars. Not to mention the $ we have spent shopping! It is a shame we are leaving on the sunniest day,we'd love to stay longer. Thanks so much for your hospitality. We have extremely fond memories of our stay - will be sure to recommend you.
