What a truly delightful vacation spot. Your home is lovely, well furnished and a great place to relax. We were very surprised about Ashumet Pond - it is much bigger than anticipated and we saw some beautiful sunrises over the pond. Having coffee on the back deck was the best! The location is great. We would definitely like to come again!

Thank you for opening your wonderful home to my family. We truly enjoyed the house, the pond and all that Falmouth had to offer. We even managed to escape the children for half a day and go bicycling to Martha's Vineyard. I have no 'constructive criticism' to give. If we will be blessed to have some time off next August I hope we can come back to your house.

I am remiss, because my wife insisted as we were leaving that I was to send you a note about how wonderful your place was, from location to layout to furnishings, etc. There was already clear evidence of many renter-friendly’ touches already. We believe we had one of our very best vacations! My wife and I are even more convinced we will end up moving down to Falmouth. In the meantime, we would love to be considered for the same weeks (or close) next year. Thanks again!

What can I say....IT WAS WONDERFUL! Better than I thought. Bigger than I imagined. Prior to seeing it, I also thought of a pond, as being somewhat small..and a larger body of water being called a Lake..so I was very happily surprised. Things that I thought were wonderful that would be helpful to other renters: ~The upstairs door, that separates sleeping children from the noise of the grown ups in the morning chatting over coffee. That's great for those light sleepers who awake at the sound of a coffee grinder. ~10 minutes from the Shining Sea Bike Way: The Shining Sea Bikeway follows the coast from Falmouth to Woods Hole, winding along the Vineyard Sound shoreline. Ideal for casual and beginner cyclists, families, (no cars), it was built on a former railroad right-of-way, and is level nearly the entire 3.3-mile distance. Stop to picnic, or sun bathe along the way. Parking is easy, and accessible. Lined with familiar Cape Cod flower and tree species, it makes for a wonderful ride from Falmouth to scenic Woods Hole. This route avoids much of Falmouth's notorious summer traffic by winding down along the beach, through marshes and through the Salt Pond Bird Sanctuary.

Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your home in Falmouth, MA. We all enjoyed a fabulous week. The weather was wonderful, the best week of the summer so far. The location was great, we were able to watch the Falmouth Commodors (Cape Cod baseball team). The team, actually is lousy this year, but it was fun. Walked into the Holly Santuary a few times, the hollys are as big as pine trees. Very impressive. Visited the local winery, went to Provincetown for a day. Biked the Shining Sea bikeway, went to Woods Hole Aquarium and museum. Shopped at Mashpee Commons. Kayaked and canoed on Ashumet Pond, I don't understand why it is not called a lake. The water is so clear. Swam, relaxed, ate. It was a much needed respite from work and home responsibilities. Oh, my husband fished - 10 small perch and 4 good sized small mouth bass, apprx. 4 lbs, 18 inches. He was happy, so if the husband is happy, everyone is happy

We had a terrific time. Boys loved the pond and boated every day and played whiffle ball. There were fourth of July fireworks everywhere. My Mom and sister never moved off the porch all week.

Thank you making a perfect vacation for us possible!! Your house couldn't have fit us better. We cannot get over the beauty the pond offers. Many hours were spent looking out the windows at the birds and the ever changing colors of the pond. We loved every minute.

Thank you for providing us with an amazing spot to get away. The house was perfect. From the beautifully furnished rooms to the great water views, nothing could have been more perfect. Most of our time was spent sitting by the lake with only the sounds of birds in the day and frogs at night. Not to mention swimming and fishing right from the back yard. What more could you ask for?

We did enjoy our week in your lovely lakefront home. It fit our needs very well and we were able to take advantage of lake and ocean swimming along with kayaking and biking, and a ferry to Martha's Vineyard. It was a very central location, yet residential and quiet.

The house was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our week. My brother has three little girls (one who still naps in the afternoon), so the pond was perfect. The laundry room came in handy, as did the basement tv room for the kids.

I can't say enough good about the house! We were in heaven when we arrived. The view of the pond is amazing. . .It is the perfect escape! There are activities for everyone close by - beaches, shopping, fishing, golf, movies, ice cream, the vineyard...oh my! There are plenty of great restaurant near by too, but we loved that the house provided a grill and plenty of pots, pans and serving plates! We cooked in and ate over looking the pond almost every night!
