About the owner: Hi, I'm Maria, your host! I'm a high school teacher of English As A Foreign Language. I also speak Hungarian and Slovakian quite well, having moved to the U.S. when I was nine from Slovakia. I grew up mainly in Michigan and later, lived and worked in Kuwait and Germany for several years. I've visited most of Europe and parts of Central and South America, Africa, and many Caribbean islands. In addition to traveling abroad, I enjoy meeting people from other nations and cultures. My hobbies are traveling, cycling, kayaking, hiking, and being outdoors in beautiful nature. I don't smoke, rarely drink, and try to live an interesting, happy life in beautiful St. Petersburg which I now call home. I live downstairs on the 4th floor of this condo building called The Wave. This private 1/1 unit is on the 5th floor, so I'm nearby to be a helpful, informative hostess to all my guests. I look forward to meeting you!
