November in Paradise

We rented this condo for the whole month and found it perfect. The owners are so helpful during the rental process and phoned immediately after our arrival to check that all was going well. The unit was immaculate upon arrival as well as amazingly well equipped for a rental. The computer desk and the WiFi system was great. My husband and I highly recommend this unit. You will not be disappointed in anything.

We arrived when we walked through the door I felt as though we were home, gorgeous views of the ocean, very, very clean with all the amenities of home... Very custom to the other units we looked at on the island... Gorgeous custom decorations, furnishing not your regular rental property, you can tell the owner of this unit takes in pride of ownership... the wireless internet service worked out wonderful since this was a working vacation, I highly recommend this property... you will not be let down.. the grounds of the property are also gorgeous, it has a a small putting green to warm up on before you hit the beautiful courses, then come home and relax in the beautiful pool! Will be back!

The pictures are a true reflection of the condo. It is well appointed and a great location. Although, the beach is a bit rockie there are many wonderful beaches within minutes from the condo. The pool and grounds are well kept as well as the BBQ area and recreation amenities. The conciege was extremely helpful suggesting local sights and restaurants. We will definitely return.

Great Stay for Anniversary

My wife and I stayed at the Kauhale Makai recently for our anniversary. The building grounds overall are very well kept and it is great to go down to the BBQs in the evening and grill while watching the sunset over the ocean. The condo itself was great. Very spacious overall and kitchen and bathrooms have very nice granite countertops. The place was very clean and well taken care of. Also, has a great view from the lanai to enjoy each day. Location of the condo is great spot in Maui. We prefer staying on the south side of the island in Kihei and this is a great spot to be. Definitely plan to return to this condo in the future.

Our stay at the Kauhale Makai was absolutely perfect. The condo and resort grounds were beautiful and the central location was very convenient. The furnishings and decor of the condo were lovely. We felt the condo was spacious and very comfortable. This was our first visit to Hawaii and we loved every minute of it! We can't wait to come back and stay at Jeannie and Terry's condo!

Jeannie and Terry, What an incredible place! Our honeymoon could not have been better and your lovely condo was the perfect spot for us. The location was perfect for getting to everything, and was comfortable and was well stocked. Maui is such a delight and we tried to do everygthing (and got to a pretty good piece of it). We hiked Sliding Sands, Waihe'e Ridge, the Village Trail, and up to Waimoku Falls. We toured historic Lahaina, took in a luau and a great show, snorked, swam, drove past Hana and around the north coast of west Maui. This will be one we remember forever but there's still more to do so we'll be back. Thanks!

Jeannie & Terry, We spent our 10 year wedding anniversary in your condo and loved it very much. It was in a very pleasant complex with great views of the ocean and mountain. It was also newly remodeled and very accomodating. We especially enjoyed the very comfortable king sized bed and spend a lot of time on the lanai looking out at the ocean. We noticed it was also very quiet. We have told our friends and family about your condo and hope that they will also chose to stay there when they visit Maui. WOW! What a great getaway...we knew on day 2 that 7 nights just wasn't going to be enough! Thank goodness Jeannie had some open nights before the next guests were arriving, so we jumped at the chance to stay for 4 more nights. Where do I begin? This condo has everything you need for a great trip. We spent almost every day down in the Makena area checking out all of the beaches and discovering a few hidden ones. We made a detour to Costco in Kahului on the way to the condo to grab some items and got the rest of our food stash at the Safeway close by the condo. The little soft-sided cooler, blue ice pack, beach chairs, beach towels, and beach umbrella were a perfect set up for our lazy days chilling at the beach! Note to anyone wanting to use the umbrella, we used the umbrella and one of the covers from the blue camp chairs to rig up "tie downs" so the umbrella didn't blow inside out, or away altogether. Don't use those blue camp chairs in the sand, us the low profile beach chairs instead...much more comfortable for sitting at the beach. Truly this condo complex is the best situated in Kihei. Most of the other condos are across the street from the beach. Village by the Sea is front and center and the views across the lawn are gorgeous. We used the shared barbeques by the pool and took advantage of the laundry facilities on floor 3. For anyone who loves Indian food, Shangri-La by the Sea is just a 5 minute walk north of the condo in the Menehune Shores complex and has the most delicious Indian food...period. Cafe O'Lei in the Rainbow Mall in Kihei was great, as was the Paia Fish Market across the valley in the funky down of Paia. Needless to say we had a great time and have already referred 1 friend your way! We can't get the secret out too much or you'll be too booked and we won't get a chance to sneak in 11 more days in the future...shhhhhh! We can't wait to return again. Thanks again for sharing your fab condo!

We liked the central location yet relative quietness of the area. The beach wasn't as nice as some other areas due to seaweed and walking across the "squishy" lawn. The furnishings were great and the staff helpful and friendly as was the owner.Anthony was especially nice and helped us relax and get into the island "laid back" attitude. The pool was very nice. The condo furnishings were great as well and the "spices" stock. Would have appreciated 1 more roll of Bathroom tissue however.The grounds were maintained well and were beautiful! 5/26-6/2/09

The condo was amazing!!! The view was incredible, we really enjoyed waking up and having a view of the ocean from bed, breakfast on the lanai, and the sunset in the evening was beautiful! This condo is perfect for romance.

We stayed at this property from January 22-27/09 and were EXTREMELY impressed. There has definately been a lot of care and thought into not only the remodelled upgrades, but also into the provided ammenities. Everything was exactally as described and shown in the pictures (which do not do any of it justice!). We stayed with our 1 1/2 year old who enjoyed our vacation as much as we did...he especially took a liking to the pools (only drawback was the pool temperatures were a little chilly, but there is a hot tub that is a nice temperature during the day). The beach is nice for walking/running, but we didn't do any swimming. Our sunset views from the lani were breathtaking. The shared BBQs are excellent and there are even picnic tables down there if you wanted to eat there (we didn't, as the condo was too comfortable to pass up!!). Jeannie was extrememly friendly and accomodating and we would definately recommend this place to anyone going to Maui.

The condo was wonderful, very clean, the kitchen was well stocked, it was a very comfortable place to be, it felt like home while we were there. The view was spectacular, we enjoyed breakfast on the lanai every morning and the sunset most evenings. We would stay there again for sure!!!!!

When my wife and I arrived at our condo, we were amazed at how nice everything was. The views of the ocean from the Lanai and the bed were amazing. NEAR PERFECT!!! We rented this unit From May 30 to June 5, 2006. The unit is even better than described and nicer than the pictures. The location of Kihei is centrally located and ideal. We met another couple and saw their room and it was no comparison to ours. I have been "burned" in the past when you book a 3 or 4 star hotel on Expedia or others. There the pictures look great but the actual product is way different than the pictures. That does not happen here. This condo has been decorated with pride of ownership. The only improvement I can think of is making the automatic ice maker operational. We were amazed to find a stereo, DVD & VHS player, video game console with games, books, board games to play, beach chairs, beach bags, an umbrella (thank you very much) and more I can not remember. It had everything in the kitchen you could ever need, but I would suggest a small nonstick egg pan. Do not attend the brunch at the Hawaii Prince Hotel in Wailea, the food is good but not worth the $40+ a person. We found Big Beach to have the best waves to play in and body surf. The drive around the north side of the island was beautiful, but beware, it is a very narrow road at times and you should check with your rental car company as it may not be covered by insurance. There is a guest book in the condo that is filled with wonderful comments from the prior visitors, and it is obvious that everyone is very happy to have picked this place to stay -- with good reason. We will forever recommend to our friends who may be going to Maui to check into this unit. We couldn't have had a better time anywhere else. Feel free to contact us. Aloha, Wayne & Dawn

Jeanne and Terry- We wanted to thank you for such a positive experience on one of our many trips that we take throughout the year. We have stayed at several locations on the island throughout the years, we were overwhelmed with the comforts of home once we opened the door, the quality of your condo far surpasses any place we have ever stayed, the closeness to the beach, and the views of the ocean is absolutely amazing. We have schedule in several dates to make sure we come back and share in your little piece of paradise. Oh I almost forgot to mention, when we saw the furnishing, decor, and linens we thought we were at The Westin- Great job!

We had such a fantastic time staying here by the ocean. We thoughts the rates were extremely reasonable and you kept it very clean. plus the room was beautiful, loved the grantite kitchen counters. You were right on target about it being by the beach. I was concerned about that as we love to go for walks at night. Can't wait to stay here again. I will definetly recomend to friends. Connie

We loved staying here for our honeymoon! The condo is very nicely decorated, the view is great, and sitting out on the lanai is a wonderful way to wake up in the morning! Highly recommended!
