Situated between Tahoe City and Kings Beach in Agate Bay, this house is minutes from the shopping and dining centers on the north shore of Lake Tahoe.
The house backs up to forest service land and is built back from the road making for a private Tahoe getaway. The lower level has an open living/dining/kitchen area great for large groups and entertaining, which opens to a large sunny deck with a peek of the lake - the perfect location to rest on a summer afternoon.
The fully-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing that perfect meal. The large rock fireplace is the perfect spot to curl up with a good book. The sofa in the living room folds out into a queen-size bed. Two bedrooms, a bathroom, and laundry facilities are also on this level. Upstairs you will find two very large bedrooms and a bathroom. One bedroom has toys, games and a television - a great place for the kids! The sunny, south-facing bedroom hosts a separate sitting area and a deck with a tree-filtered view of the lake.
The summer season offers nearby sand covered beaches, leisure floats down the Truckee River, and swimming, boating, or jet skiing in beautiful Lake Tahoe. Other nearby activities include hiking, mountain biking, road cycling, golfing, and sightseeing. The Tahoe basin is a great destination throughout the year with plenty of activities for the whole family.
Winter offers snow enthusiasts a genuine playground. Three premier ski resorts (Squaw Valley USA, Alpine Meadows, and Northstar) are within a 20-minute drive and five more are within 40 minutes. Cross-country skiing and snowshoe trails are also minutes away at the North Tahoe Regional Park where you will also find a sledding park for young and old alike. Snowmobiles are also available for rent at the park. Tahoe City and Kings Beach offer a wide variety of shopping and dining opportunities with many great restaurants in between the two "cities." Groceries are available minutes away in Kings Beach.
