Additional sleeping space includes two twin beds adjacent to the downstairs suite and a third floor loft, so there's lots of room to spread out.
The peacefulness of Lieutenant's Island is difficult to describe. There is a beautiful private beach only a few hundred yards from the house. At high tide it has perfect swimming, and at low tide you can walk the perimeter of the island and see millions of tiny fiddler crabs, dunes, oysters, and much more. This location is ideal for a nature lover. Lieutenant's Island is nearly half nature preserve, and hosts a multitude of bird species.
Our home offers: cable, wifi, laundry, outdoor decks all around the house, outdoor shower, a wood-burning fireplace, a dishwasher, a gas grill, and an outdoor dining table, chairs, and lounge chairs.
And amazingly, although when you are at the house you feel deeply in nature, within a few minutes drive you are on the main road of Cape Cod and near restaurants, groceries, miniature golf, an amazing French bakery, a drive-in movie theater, a fitness center, and the national seashore.
Guest Access You get the whole run of the house.
Interaction with Guests We have a local caretaker, and we are always available by cell phone.
The Neighborhood Wellfleet has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and you will have access to all the town beaches as well as the local private Lieutenant's Island beach.
Getting around You need a car, but there's plenty of opportunity for biking on the Cape Cod Rail Trail.
