  This is the first time my family has used a vacation rental. We selected this house because it had the required number of bedrooms and bathrooms we needed.This house is very comfortable and clean. The kitchen is fantastic with lots of granite countertops and an island for cooking. It is completely equipped with stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pots, toasters, blender, hand mixer, crockpot, electric griddle, plenty of pots, pans, dishes, flatware, cooking utensils, beverage and wine glasses, everything you will need to cook and eat. If you are big bakers or have a need for lots of 13x9 pans you might bring your own or buy some that are disposable. If not, then you will have all you need. The amazing thing about this home is that there are homes around it but once you are on the property, you do not see or hear anyone else. There are absolutely breathtaking views of Clear Lake from most rooms. The sunrise was different every morning. There are two large decks off the first and second floors and one small deck off an upstairs bedroom which makes it so nice to view the lake. It is absolutely peaceful, quiet and serene. I live in a city with plenty of police sirens, ambulances, traffic, etc., so it was so wonderful to have such a quiet spot to stay. Just to help you a bit there are two queen bedrooms downstairs, both with private bathrooms. One has a shower and jacuzzi tub and the other a standard tub with shower. Upstairs there is a queen bedroom with a private bath with a shower only, a smaller bedroom that sleeps four on bunkbeds and another queen bedroom that shares a bathroom with the bunkbed room. The larger bedrooms are downstairs and would be considered masters. There are roll-a-way beds and other space for sleeping as well. The owner was great to work with, very nice, tolerated about a million questions from me, allowed us to check in a little early and to check out a little later. Since we were there in January we had no need for lake activities. We did barbecue and there was a very nice propane Weber grill on the first floor deck. The heater worked beautifully and is controlled separately on each floor (also has air conditioning). There is a washer and dryer available. Safeway and CVS Pharmacy are less than 10 minutes away. Also, we had no "unwanted visitors" as I have seen discussed in comments for other vacation rentals. No mice or ants--I didn't even see a spider! We had a fantastic time, I highly recommend this lovely home.

  We stay there the past weekend with some friend and kids and we all love it. The kids have fun the adult have fun hanging out and fishing. They say two night was not enough. The listing description was accurate also the photos as describe. The property was very clean well-maintained the house was very modern love the kitchen along with the beautiful view. The house also provide kayak and life jacket if you want out to the lake. The owner was very helpful in answering all our question especially the flexible check out on Sunday that was a plus to us because we all have kids. The backyard was great with a patio hanging out watching the guys and kids fishing, playing around the grass area, bbq, jacuzzi very relaxing. Not to mention we did catch alot of fish. I would definitely recommend this house, I been to alot of rental house in clearlake and this is the best, big and cleanliness house we stay at. Will stay there again next year this time 3 nights.

  Thank you for sharing your wonderful home. We loved the view, it was spectacular! We enjoyed fishing right off the dock. We didn't catch any good size bass, but we did catch plenty of cat fish. We had a excellent time here: enjoyed the hot tub. The beds were very comfortable. Its very nice, pleasant and quiet here. Very relaxing. we also enjoyed using the kayak to fish. Again thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us..

  We enjoyed a nice week at your lovely lake home. Our team of runners had just finished the 194 mile Ragnar Napa Valley relay from San Francisco to Calistoga, and enjoyed resting here before our next event, the Half Moon Bay International Marathon. - We boated all around the lake and recommend Disney Boat Rental - fished with Bassin with bob and caught 8 nice bass - toured winery across the lake - day trips to ft Bragg and Point Reyes and Muir Woods - and more Thanks SunflowerStriders.org

  We all had a great time here and the game room is really awesome. The lake is really beautiful. I really hope to come here again. Thanks a lot! The house was really nice not to mention the lake. The kitchen really pretty with a nice oven to bake. The hot tub is really awesome. And the game rooms really fun. The backyard view is great. I hope are vacations never done!

  I am bit conflicted on this review because the house if very nice, with a great layout for a family get away. The pool table, ping pong table, and hot tub are in great shape, kitchen and grill are well equipped, and having access to the kayak was a nice bonus. The views are fantastic. However, at least in July the lake borders on unswimmable. It is like someone dumped 10,000 lbs of spinach on the surface. Its tough swimming off the dock because there is no shallow water. Its also not kid friendly as there is a decent drop from the yard to lake, with its totally murky water. There is a fence, but its more decorative than functional. We went to something called Nice beach on Clearlake and it was laughable. All the locals talk about how the lake is unswimmable these days, and many of the businesses seem to be dying off. I am not sure how boat rental would work as I assume algae would clog the engine. We did find decent swimming at nearby Blue Lake which was like a 10 minute drive away with an $8 day pass (per person), but you don't pay a premium to stay on the lake but get in the car to drive to another lake to swim. If you are set on Clearlake as a destination and you like nice accomodations, I think this is your place. It was by far the nicest house around. But if you have people that want to swim or waterski and its the summer months, I think you should look elsewhere.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing.

  Owner response: I appreciate all the complements on our home. We try our best to make everyones stay as enjoyable as possible. The past two years we elected to have echo friendly chemicals sprayed in front of our home by the city to kill any weeds just in case they appear. If they did appear we would be prepared. Unfortunately I was not able to get the service done early enough, and there was a disappointed guest. I do apologize and will be sure to have the treatment done well before the summer just to make sure everyone can swim without any problems right from the back yard. Most of my guests have been swimming right in front of the house this summer. As a matter of fact my neighbor actually told me that the family that wrote this review was in the water the whole time they were there. So I was quite surprised when I read his review. There is a floating platform, great for getting in and out of the water that also has a ladder as well. The water is a little deeper at our home because we are right at the end of a point. Great for boating, fishing and swimming for older kids, but there is no where for a small child to sit down in the sand and wade in the water. i do plan on putting in a nice sandbox this year. Lakeport has a few shallow beaches for little ones that you can easily boat to, and they are treated for weeds and allergy with a nice sandy base to sink your feet in. The Lake this year looks better then it has in the past, and the city is taking steps to make sure it only gets better. Our economy all revolves around the Lake and the people who come to enjoy it. This year we are proposing a 2 1/2 cent tax increase just to make sure our lake stays clean!

  Spent a weekend here and enjoyed every bit of it. Loved watching the sunrise when the lake looked like ablaze! The place is clean and well kept. We were not all that lucky with fishing though! Shot some good pictures of the sun soaked water and went boating. The kids had a whale of a time. Thanks!

  I just wanted to thank you for your amazing home! We had such a fabulous time. It felt like we were away a week and it was only 2 nights! Thanks so much for being flexible with our check-out time on Sunday, it made all the difference. We loved everything--?the view, the hot tub (although I think you might be out of chemicals in the dispenser?), ping-pong, pool, the kayak. We had so much fun! The kids both went out on the kayak with me while my husband swam (I brought his wet suit)! Then, our son decided he wanted to swim too. It was ?far too cold, but he had fun dunking his body in and out off the dock! We all loved it. I'm amazed at what a gorgeous spot you have, and the views from above make it feel like you are living on a boat. My husband was happily surprised and mentioned it was one of our best weekend getaways ever (that's saying a lot, since we've been doing birthday surprise getaways for the past 20 years!) Thanks again?. We had so much fun, and would love to stay again sometime.

  Our stay of 3 days was great. We fished, played crochet, and went in the hot tub. We enjoyed playing pool. everything was perfect, everyone was happy, and so was my mom. We were here to celebrate her 50th B-day, and mothers day. (-: We had a lot of fun here!

  What a wonderful house and Location. great spot to fish. Caught several 5-6 pound bass right from the dock. The 2 person kayak is great feature. Very sturdy & easily moves throughout the water. Great kitchen, comfortable beds, & lots to do inside and out. We will be back! Can't beat the View!

  I can't wait to come back here - the view of the lake in the morning is just gorgeous and the twinkle of the far off city lights from the hot tub in the evening is a perfect combo. Comfortable clean and a great place to relax. Next time I'll bring a fishing pole (-:

  Our family spent 3nights and 4days at this lake house. The view of the lake from the house was beautiful. If you're into fishing for big bass, this is the place for you. Not recommended for a girls getaway. Overall the house was well maintence and was in good condition. Can't wait to return. Dont forget to bring the BUG Spray.

  We stayed hear for our annual family reuinion last year. Planning another trip this year. It is a great house with beautiful views and all the ammenities of home. A very quiet and private location. Kids had a great time!

  This house is wonderful with amazing views! A great vacation spot for adults and children having perks for everyone: a hot tub, kayac, pool table, sand play area, etc... And even high speed internet for those who still have to work a little on vacation. We will definetly be back! We loved it!

  We had a wonderful time here. Our first time to clear lake! It's beautiful. We loved the daily visitors ( a a tree swallow and a large fish we named Virgil and Troy) and the spectacular view from the house.   We stayed at this property for a week summer of 2006 and had a great time. The homeowner is very accomidating, the house is very well laid out and loaded with amenities. Grocery store is close by and you can boat to eat or gamble. The fishing off the back wall was terrific and we caught an abundance of cats and bass.

  Outstanding view, great indoor amenities, well-appointed kitchen and easy-to-find property. Large house is nicely divided for extended families or large group. Property owner is very accommodating and the neighborhood is quiet -- this is a great lakefront vacation headquarters.
