We met Henri at the appointed time who was charming, helpful and accommodating. We stayed for two weeks with our two young adult sons who loved the proximity to the Sorbonne. The apartment is in great condition with comfortable and non-intimidating furniture, a spacious and well-equipped eat-in kitchen, good heating and the all-important wifi. It certainly has the atmosphere and charm of 'old Paris'. The position near the Pantheon, Cluny, and only a few blocks from Notre Dame as well as the markets Maubert and Monge, and great local shops, is convenient for seeing the sights as well as 'living like a local' - shopping and cooking at home with beautiful fresh produce. There are excellent restaurants in the near vicinity, Petit Prince literally across the street, and L'Ecurie around the corner - both well worth visiting. We had a marvellous time and would recommend this property unhesitatingly. Thank you Henri!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

We stayed here for several days in early January 2013. The location was terrific - very centrally located, close to cafe's, grocery stores, outdoor market, Notre Dame, etc. We had plenty of room for the 7 of us, the appliances were modern, and we will definitely stay here on our next trip to Paris. (Our group consisted of two grandparents, two parents, and three teenagers.) Henri was most helpful with our many pre-visit questions.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our family spent ten weeks staying in this apartment this fall and had a wonderful experience. The apartment is located in a great neighborhood very close to the Pantheon, Luxembourg Garden and Notre Dame. It is a very clean and charming apartment with comfortable beds and a nice area to socialize. The apartment is located next to some very popular restaurants and can be a little noisy at night, but that can also be a positive if you enjoy going out and sharing in the night life. Henri is a very kind and responsive owner who will assist you whenever needed. Thank you for a lovely experience in Paris.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We (two couples in our sixties) spent two weeks in the apartment and found it to be as described on the website. The apartment was clean, charming, and spacious. The location was perfect for exploring the area, as it was an easy walk to the Pantheon, the Luxembourg Gardens, Notre Dame, the many great neighborhood cafes & restaurants, and the small specialized food markets on St. Germain which enabled us to enjoy most breakfasts and several dinners in the apartment’s cheerful, well-equipped eat-in kitchen. The beds were comfortable (a plus) and the bathrooms equipped with hair dryers. Additionally, the master bath had a magnified adjustable make-up mirror and a toilet. The WC for the second bedroom was separate and close to the living room. I recommend taking advantage of the wealth of tourist information stored under the coffee table. We found the bus cards to be most helpful in planning our trips around the city. We also appreciated the weekly housekeeping. Henri (the owner) was most helpful in answering our questions and responded promptly when called about a couple of minor issues. We would definitely rent this apartment again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

This apartment is lovely, spacious and clean. In a great location on a quiet street. If you are traveling from the States or anywhere outside Europe , you won't have to bring a hair dryer or an iron. They are supplied in the apartment. It also has a washer dryer and a fully equipped kitchen. I stayed here with two of my girlfriends for 10 days. Our Host was so friendly and was waiting at the apartment right on time to give us our tour and the keys. Any questions we had during our stay was immediately addressed . I would recommend this apartment and I will diffenetly choose this place again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

We spent the Christmas holidays in this apartment with our adult son and his lady friend. We would do so again any time there were 4 of us in Paris. The apartment is very comfortable and the neighborhood fantastic. We could not exhaust the restaurants in walking distance in a month, the major sights all within walking distance or an easy bus ride. The cherry on top of this pie is the small church around the corner that is tied in with the Paris Conservatory of Music that has an almost nightly program of music that is put on for an hour to an hour and a half by brilliant graduate students. A perfect pre dinner time to relax and enjoy.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

The property is on the first floor with a narrow steep spiral staircase leading to it, difficult to negotiate with luggage, as one has to cling to the banister with one hand and carry his suitcase in the other. The property is ill-kept, shabby and badly needs repairs. Some kitchen floor tiles were broken. At least in one place the wall paint was peeling in great flakes. The shower could not be used as it had a very strong smell of mildew. In the bathroom there was no hook to hang the hand shower on and no curtain to avoid splashing water all over the floor, with suitable consecutiveness. The double bed was very low, circa 25 cm from the floor, uncomfortable to sit down and get up and the mattress was thin and user unfriendly. The furniture has seen better days. There was no pleasure in coming back to the gloomy property after a day"s sightseeing. We decided to stay and lumpe it only because it was our young grand daughter"s one week holiday in Paris and we did not want to spend part of it hotel hunting . We are sorry to say we will definitely not stay in this property again and we can not recommend it to anyone.Owner response: The building and area in which the apartment is situated are 4OO years old. It is typical of 'old Paris'. This is it's charm and the reason why our previous clients chose it and in many cases returned for further visits. The tiles in the kitchen are 19th century and are part of the atmosphere that we are trying to preserve. The bathroom is a bathroom as it's name implies, not a shower, the bed a bed, not a sofa. The apartment was redecorated in 2010. This apartment is a classic example of many to be found in the old areas of Paris. It is not a 21st century box in an anonymous modern hotel. This is neither our aim nor what our clients seek.

The apartment was wonderful, exactly as descibed on the website, and with plenty of space for our family of four. It is very centrally-located, about a ten-minute walk to Notre Dame and Jardin du Luxembourg, with lots of restaurants, cafes, a great little wine shop, and small supermarket nearby. We would definitely stay here again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 7/7
