FYI: Some of my favorite stops: - The Americana at Brand, shops, restaurants and entertainment, make sure to stop for Pinkberry Frozen Yogurt (walking distance, cross the Glendale Galleria) thru JC Penny / Also at the Glendale Galleria you’ll find a Super Target, very handy in case you run out of basic essentials during your stay. - Glendale Center Theatre, small live theatre. Check out what they’re showing (website hidden) (could walk) - Olvera Street. A historic monument in the oldest part of Los Angeles (Downtown LA. Souvenir shops, Mexican food restaurants) - Griffith Park is a short drive away, it’s great for a nice picnic, walk, hike, bike ride, pony / train ride for kids. The LA Zoo and the Observatory / Planetarium is also at Griffith Park, as well as the Autry museum.
FOOD: coffee bean, and just a few blocks away is a wonderful breakfast spot called the Toasted Bun, - Foxy's Restaurant (short walk) good choice for breakfast - Porto's bakery. Cuban coffee shop / Bakery / Deli (could walk to it) - Rafffi's Place (Mediterranean food) - Elena's (Mediterranean food) - King fish (Fresh sea food) - Acapulco restaurant (Mexican) - Mamita (Peruvian food) - There's no place like home, (European style restaurant in Silverlake, popular for celebrities) - Hong Kong Kitchen (short drive also delivers) - Indra Restaurant (Thai Food) - Zankou Chicken (Middle eastern / good option for takeout) - Paradise cob in Malibu beach (not so close but it's worth the scenic panoramic drive. Good place to spend a day at the beach)

Note on INCIDENTALS/CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES POLICY
Prior to arrival date guest shall provide owner with a photocopy of a valid credit card (front and back) and matching Government issued photo ID (i.e. Drivers License), both should match guest name on the reservation.
On or around arrival date
And as homeowner is not collecting a damage/security deposit in advance, after check-out an evaluation of the unit will be done and in case of any incidentals or consequential damages to the rental property caused by guests, homeowner will make charges to this credit card to cover for:
a) Cost of repairing any damage done to unit or it’s contents beyond normal
wear and tear.
b) Cleaning beyond normal wear and tear.
c) Cost of replacing keys and garage control in case these are missing.
d) Any cost involving the payment/charging processing service.
Homeowner shall provide Guest with an itemized statement of any charges within 5 days after check-out and at least 2 days prior to charging Guest’s credit card.
When Guest responsible for reservation receives from homeowner the written Incidentls/Consequential Charges Policy, He/She will need to reply to Homeowner with the copy of credit card, the photo ID and a note saying:
“I have read and agree with Incidentals/Consequential Damage policy" and end message with writing full name, which will constitute agreeing.

About the owner: My husband Mike and I are hard working, now semi retired, we spend most of the year in Puerto Vallarta and other parts of the year in this apartment in Glendale, we enjoy very much. Since we're away so much we decided to rent it out, why let it just sit empty. Our daughter lives in Newport Beach with her husband and two gorgeous sons, so we have very good reason to keep coming to the CA area. Hope you enjoy this unit as much as we do.
