From the back deck where you enter the cabin the mountains look amazing. The gas grill is located here.
You will enter the hall and the kitchen area with granite counter tops, stone accent walls and a gas stove with gas burners. Memorabilia from mountain men, cowboys and the local wildlife adorn the walls. The kitchen is completely furnished with every item for creating delicious meals.
The walls of this cabin are decorated with unique items, nostalgic and historical, such as brass kettles, antique pitchers and many signs posted from the past.
The pine dining table has seating for 6 with a lovely antique chandelier above it.
The living room is inviting with a wood-burning fireplace with seating, a large sofa that opens to a Queen bed, an over-stuffed armchair and ottoman and a matching love seat. There is a flat screen TV, WiFi, DVD/CD player located here. The huge windows all around provide sunlight and views as you sit and unwind.
As you step through the double doors to the wood deck, the mountains loom large and the Continental Divide and Longs Peak are a majestic vision. This deck offers another area to sit and to relax and to take in the extraordinary environment.
Just behind the kitchen is the spacious Master bedroom with a King bed, carved oak furniture, cathedral ceilings and a custom pine bay window with seating. A walk-in closet and armoire provide space for all of your clothes and luggage.
Next to the Master is the Master bath with tile, pine walls, a tile shower and a large tub. A skylight allows the sun to shine into the room and onto the sink with a custom mosaic bowl.
As you descend to the lower level, you walk on a custom, wood spiral staircase with huge beams and hand-hewn spindles. This lower level has carpet and tile and a door that accesses an even larger deck with a cement floor that is twice the size of the upper deck. It consists of an oak table with 6 chairs for outside dining and lots of room for gathering. A wood love seat provides more seating on this lower deck.
The second Master bedroom is on the lower level. It has a Queen bed, Berber carpet, a moss rock gas fireplace and double doors that exit onto this lower deck. This bedroom is tastefully furnished with a warm mountain decor and antique accents. The full bathroom here is located to the left of the bed and offers a shower.
This one-acre property has areas to climb, to sit and to cook and enjoy a barbecue. It is 5 minutes to town, 10 minutes to Rocky Mountain National Park, just across the street from the 1500-acre Hermit Park and Kruger Rock and a 4-minute drive to the top of the hill to the Roosevelt National Forrest with unlimited hiking and biking.
