There are several discos, wine bars (including on on the rooftop one building over right outside your bedroom. constant music, partying , brawls all night , every night except Mondays. During the day CONSTRUCTION starts at 8 a.m. a team of 6 men drilling and making noise all day, Saturdays including. Had to wear ear plugs at night, sometimes during the day. The apartment is cosy, well equipped kitchen, but in my view overpriced. OK for 2 people max. Having lived in BsAs for 6 months I rented a 2 bedroom apt. in Recoleta, over twice the size with office,in an excellent location and a washer and dryer for similar price. The management try to be helpful , leave a good list of restaurants etc. but can't do anything about the noise. Could not wait to leave,

An extremely clean(cleaning service 2 times a week!), well situated unit in Recoleta. Fabulous view of the area - no high rises to block view at all. Double key security system to enter building - great for piece of mind. close to restaurants, markets, superb stores - check out Uru Leather BTW, this is probably the best unit available in this area. We cannot recommend this more highly! Everything as advertised was there in the unit and more. We would definitely use this unit again.

There’s a reason this property is receiving 5/5 stars from former guests. It’s the total package! This modern and impeccably clean apartment is in the upscale, safe and popular area of Recoleta. Restaurants and cafes, shopping, artesian market and access to major city bus routes (http://www.omnilineas.com/argentina/buenos-aires/city-bus/) are just outside your door. It exceeded our expectations not only for the value of your $, but also for it’s location, views and personalized attention from the owner. The manager who introduced us to the apartment, showed us how everything worked, offered advice/tips and answered all our questions. Special attention to details that included luxury linens and plush bathrobes made our 6 week stay even more enjoyable. Our morning breakfasts and evening cocktails were spent on the balcony with unobstructed views of the famous Recoleta cemetery. On clear days, we were able to see Uruguay in the distant. This rare corner apartment has large bedroom windows that catch the cool breezes and offers spectacular views. Perfect for two, but has a Murphy bed for extra guest or children. Valerie, the owner is a real sweetheart.

This is a perfect place to stay in BA. We found comfort, convenience, and possibly the best views and the best location in the city. The apartment was impeccably clean and the beds and linens so very comfortable after a day of walking. We had everything we could have possibly needed. Frank and Osvaldo greeted us with a wealth of information and advice about the neighborhood and city, and were kind enough to give us a tour of their home as well. Valerie was wonderful making our rental arrangements, and we wouldn't hesitate staying here again if we're lucky enough to visit BA again. Our complements to Valerie and Jim, and our thanks for their hospitality.

WE very much enjoyed our stay Feb. 25-March 3 in Valerie's BA apt! She certainly goes the "extra mile" to help you in preparing for the trip -always responsive to questions and provided wonderful information on Buenos Aires, Visas, etc. Her special touches were also evident in the apartment - such as PLENTY of towels, bath salts, soap, dishwashing detergent. Was so very nice not to have to run out and get those items! (Which we have had to do in other VRBO apartments.) The apartment is so very cute, filled with light and close to all in Ricoleta. Can easily walk to a whole "row" of restaurants and shops. Frank was very helpful in providing restaurant recommendations and discussing things to do and see and also what not to see. There are even plenty of late night "hot spots" close by that keep on going into the "wee hours" of the morning on the weekends which I guess is a S. American thing. Would recommend having an international phone when going to BA so you can contact Valerie or Frank if going to be late(which was our situation)- or you may have difficulty getting into the unit. Speaking Spanish is also a plus. I certainly would recommend this Apartment to any couple coming to Buenos Aires and also recommend using Mariana for tours! Thanks again for a great BA experience!

A Welcome Retreat After a Busy Day

We LOVED the apartment in Ricoleta. It was centrally located in the nicest neighborhood with easy access to everything. The apartment has everything one needs for a lengthy stay with twice weekly maid service that is very, very good. When we arrived the apartment was spotless and stayed that way the entire 2 weeks thanks to Osvaldo! We always looked forward to returning to this bright apartment with spectacular views - not just from the terrace - but from every window. One night we were treated to fireworks from the bedroom window. Frank, the apartment manager, is extremely helpful. He loves to eat and had a lengthy list of not to miss eating experiences. He was right on the money with his suggestions. All in all . . . I would highly recommend this apartment!

We have rented quite a few units via VRBO and Valerie was so helpful and easy to deal with, it made our stay that much better. She gave us tips for travel and stay here in BA and it was so comforting, you feel as though she really wants to make sure you have a great time! Very personalized service. Upon our arrival, Frank was waiting to meet us and the additional help and tips he gave also made us feel comfortable. He spent quite a while with us and was able to answer all of our questions, this was a huge help in our start in BA. The unit is in a great/centralized location and easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping, sight-seeing, etc. We had a great time in BA!!!

We stayed in this apartment for 10 days in October 2008. Booking with Valerie was easy as she is so organised and full of information and tips on everything you might ever need. We even took private tango lessons with someone she recommended and loved them! We loved our time there and Frank and Osvaldo were helpful, entertaining and also full of great ideas on what to see and do. The location is fabulous and the apartment has everything you need. We loved Buenos Aires and will definitely go back...10 days was not long enough! I would thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to spend some time in this wonderful city.

We stayed here for three weeks in March 2009. The apartment is fabulous and the view incredible. The best part of the apartment is Valerie and Jim - they were the most accommodating owners we have ever rented from on VRBO and this is our 10th experience. The manager in Buenos Aires is also excellent - he never steered us wrong in looking for restaurants! The neighborhood is wonderful - we rate our Buenos Aires stay as one of the best of our travels.

We stayed at the apartment for 6 weeks. It is just like the photos; cheerful with lots of light and great views in every room. The location is excellent; you can walk anywhere or take any bus at the corner stops. The building is safe, the apt. is inmaculately clean. You can't ask for better owners than Valerie & Jim or better management than Frank & Osvaldo. They were all within one phone call away. We will recommend this place to all our friends. The apartment is all that the photographs and descriptions depict in terms of facilities, views, comfort and equipment. Guide and resource books were stocked, and coupled with Valerie's personal Buenos Aires suggestions, they were a great asset. While we had no need for the kitchen, everything in it was carefully chosen with a mind toward accommodating those who enjoy cooking. It is all brand new or maintained that way. Bedding and towels were downy and thick, respectfully. Frette bathrobes, and bath/shower amenities are indicative of the care they take in making one's stay enjoyable. We had two problems (broken toilet flush and a loose latch that prevented a bedroom window from remaining closed), and they were quickly resolved as Max is a caring and attentive apartment manager. We are looking forward to meeting Valerie and Jim in person during our travels to Miami.

Hola Valerie, We just want to thank you for being you throughout our trip planning and for your lovely invitation to meet your family. Dina and Kerry were very warm and gave us lots of tips for the San Telmo fair. Another highlight was visiting Frank and Osvaldo. It's always fun to see homes, but both this was pretty over-the-top. Frank even baked us a cake. The apartment was great, and only after living for a day and a half in Palermo did we realize how nice Recoleta was. We recently spent two weeks at this cozy apartment and enjoyed every minute of it. The unit was exceptionally clean and pleasant. Each of the beds were very comfortable and the linens were of high quality. The view from every window is incredible, even the bathroom window. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and have our morning coffee and afternoon Malbec. We could not have asked for a better or more convenient location than this. It is within walking distance to numerous restaurants and other interesting places to explore. There is a small market right next door wich came in handy. Just step outside the building entrance and you can get a radio taxi almost instantly day or night. Frank and Osvaldo went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay and were a big help in directing us to some great reastaurants as well as other places to visit. It was reassuring to have Frank there since he speaks English especially since we were in a foreign country and did't speak their language. We could not have asked for a nicer person to deal with than Valerie. She was on top of everything and kept in contact and made sure everything was in order. We hope to return for a month on our next trip to Buenos Aires and we will definitely stay here. That is how impressed we were. My friend John and I stayed at the apartment for 12 days in July and we absolutely could not have had a better experience. Not only were Valerie and Jim extremely helpful and attentive, but their associate in town, Frank, was also a great resource. Who needs guide books when you have savvy locals like Frank hand-writing up all the best places to eat, drink and be merry! We never had a bad meal working off of Frank, Valerie and Jim's various recommendations. The apartment itself is a very nice place, modern and stylish furnishings, newer appliances, nicely remodeled bathroom, and spotlessly clean in general. I was a bit nervous about the Murphy bed but it was every bit as comfy as a standard bed. And then there is the view and the neighborhood - unbeatable. The view of the famous Recoleta cemetery is awesome, and on a clear day you can see all the way out to the river and the waterfront area. The location is right around the corner from tons of bars and restaurants (though some are over-priced and touristy so always consult the Frank list!), as well as conveniences like frequent taxis, a little grocery store, and even a movie theater should you need a break from the hectic BA party life. We also walked a few blocks to the subway stop and used it to get around quite a bit, which made things very economical. I really cannot recommend this apartment strongly enough. The combination of the great apartment, fantastic location and personal, attentive service made the amazing experience of Buenos Aires somehow even better. Now I just have to figure out how to move to Argentina! --Wil

We just returned from an 8-night stay at Valerie & Jim's apartment and we can't say enough good things about our experience. Everything about the place was perfect...from the decoration and amenities, to the view of the cemetery from the balcony, to the prime location in BA's beautiful Recoleta neighborhood. We even had the added benefit of having Val & Jim next door to us (in their own apartment) at the same time we were there. They were amazingly friendly hosts and a wealth of knowledge about where to go and what to see. If you are planning a trip to BA this is a great place to stay. The location is very central, so you have everything that the city has to offer within either walking distance or a short cab ride. To top it off, Val & Jim are great to work with! My friend Carol and I stayed at the apartment from April 19 -25th. It was excellent! I slept in the queen sized murphy bed that comes out of a very pretty wall unit and it was so comfortable! I loved sitting each morning on the balcony, sipping on coffee and looking at the Recoleta Cemetary,which is world renowned. The location was awesome. Right out the door and you are next to a small supermarket and around the corner from several cafes, telephone services, a park that has a craft market on Saturdays and Sundays, etc. Valerie was extremely accommodating and gave us many helpful hints. Our Buenos Aires experience was great and I would definitely recommend the apartment. I'm looking forward to returning myself some day!!!

The apartment was perfect in every way. It is in upscale Recoleta surrounded by wonderful restaurants, parks (for my jogs), the cemetery where Evita Peron was buried (view from bedroom window) and European architecture. I stayed at the apartment for business and will do so again. There’s high speed wireless internet access and getting to my meetings was easy – cabs drive by all the time. I even discovered a little breakfast place around the corner that delivered my breakfast every morning -- fresh OJ included! Thanks for a great experience! I am already recommending the place to friends who also travel to BA on business.

Valerie and Jim, We enjoyed the quiet getaway in the Recoleta district. It felt like a safe home base during our Buenos Aires visit and we always enjoyed coming home to the apartment at the end of a long day of touring the city. The great view, comfortable bed, wonderful shower and bathroom and full kitchen all helped to make the place live up to the recommendations. Max was a great bonus - very knowledgeable and helpful in every way on our first visit to Buenos Aires. We would happily stay here again and will recommend the place to our friends.

Staying at the apartment was great. Much preferred to a hotel. It was nice to have a "home" away from home. Not sure what I was expecting, but this was far beyond. It truly was like home from the beautiful bathroom (with the great view of the dog walkers picking up their morning pack), the VCR (yes, we watched a few movies), the workstation area (had to work a little), to the wonderful kitchen where we had our coffee, fabulous Argentina wine and our left overs from the marvelous restaurants around town (Piegari was one and be warned, the dishes are BIG!)...Highly recommend, but don't book when I am planning on visiting!

The apartment and location is great (view is awesome too). It was so nice to wake up and have a cup of coffee (great kitchen) and do a few emails (internet access) before heading out for the day. This was the perfect apartment and the perfect neighborhood from which to explore B.A. Valerie and Jim have thought of everything, from the coffee maker and guidebooks to the two oversized umbrellas which came in handy during a sudden downpour. How I hated to leave this great apartment that felt so much like home. Walking from this apartment we found everything we needed, from groceries to restaurants to fruit stands and the fabulous weekend craft fair. Taxis were readily available to take us all over the city. You can't go wrong staying in this clean and comfortable place with everything you need for a wonderful stay in a wonderful city.

I can highly recommend this apartment to other rentors. The apartment is well-situated both within the city landscape and within the Recolleta neighborhood itself. The views are great, the air-conditioners worked beautifully, and the upkeep of the apartment is top-notch. I might add the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and in suggesting places to go during our stay. Just got back from Buenos Aires and loved the apartment! It is well-laid out and impeccably furnished. Although we never used more than the coffee maker, fridge, and microwave, the kitchen was fully appointed with everything we might have needed. The views are outstanding and the apartment is bright and airy. The location cannot be beat either. Within a block or two, you can find anything you need whether you're looking for a restaurant, nightclub, movie theater, laundry, bakery, grocer, or shoe maker. Taxis to any other part of town are readily available and cheap. The in-town staff was great to work with - friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The apartment exceeded our expectations and contributed to a great trip. All in all, a real home-away-from-home.

We stayed at the Condo at Ricoleta Argentina at the end of March . The location is the best. We were 9 stories up and overlook the big cemetery in the center of the town.The condo was very convenient to get to so many things to visit on foot, restaurant that were class A, the church and museum, The little shops and fruit stands and grocery stores that made it easy to stay in a strangs place. The furniture in the condo was very comfortable and arranged very conveniently for use. The bedroom was nice and the bed was "awsome" The bathroom was very clean and efficient. And did I say clean. Everything was spotless. The Kitchen was supplied with coffee and all that a person needed to eat in .The view from the balcony was also beautiful, overlooking the city and the huge domes of the cemetery.We were very pleased and if we come back to Argentina, We would request the same place to stay.
