Year Purchased: 1997
About: Since retiring in 2001, we have spent half of every year here at Coastahwile. We built Coastawhile as a retirement home in 1997, and enjoy renting to people who appreciate the 'homey' atmosphere and personal features of our home as opposed to more typical generic rental 'units'. Almost 25% of our rental guests are repeat visitors, and we appreciate their loyalty as well as valuing their feedback.
Why Indian Pass: After searching the east coast from North Carolina down to mid-Florida, and most of the western Florida Panhandle for almost five years, we discovered the 'Forgotten Coast of Florida' and knew that we had found a place for our vacation/retirement home. We bought the lot in 1994 and built Coastawhile in 1997. The quaint, low key charm of the area perfectly suits the wants and needs of our lifestyle. We are only twenty minutes from both Port St. Joe and Apalachicola, an hour to Panama City, and less than two hours to Tallahassee and Destin.
