This splendid 1 bed/1 bath condo has been fully remodeled and now recently made available for guest rental. It has everything you need to comfortably enjoy your stay in paradise.
Features Include: Granite countertops & updated cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom; Wonderful walk-in shower; Ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom, and; Washer/Dryer combo. The perfect bow on this beautiful package is the elegant tile floor extending from bedroom to lanai. For us, as new owners, this condo was clearly turn-key. But, for our guests’ safety and convenience, we added an electronic door lock as well as A/C and secure, high-speed, Wi-Fi.
The unit is located on the 2nd floor of the desirable and quiet 'D' Building, away from the hum of South Kihei. Yet, it’s close enough to Kamaole Beach Park II that surf & sand are just five minutes from your door . . . or, maybe eight minutes on Island Time. By the way, the 2nd floor does not skimp on the view. This floor is actually the building’s third level (above the Ground and First floors). Highly scenic!
Kihei Akahi works hard to preserve its reputation as being a well-run, well-maintained property. Both swimming pools are kept neat and clean and the landscaping is immaculate. If tennis is your racket, Kihei Akahi has you covered with a great fenced-in court. What's more, BBQ/picnic areas are conveniently located near each pool. You can cap off a fantastic day of fun and sun with grilled burgers and steak (you’ll find all the utensils you need in the kitchen). It just doesn’t get much better than this.
Unless, you prefer to have someone else do the cooking. In this case there are several great restaurants nearby starting with Fred's Mexican Café and 808 Bistro, both right next door. Sarento’s on the Beach and Monkeypod are just two of many excellent choices a short drive away (5 minutes). Looking for something quick and easy? Denny’s and Subway are your neighbors to the north in the Kamaole Shopping Center. Get a little ice cream or yogurt at Kihei Aloha's to top it off. Perfect!
Kihei Akahi has been described as “the center of it all” for good reason. Just to the north is Kamaole Beach Park I. Across the street is Kamaole II and just to the south is Kamaole III. The Wailea and Elleair golf courses as well as The Shops at Wailea are only a few minutes away by car. These are just some of the happy discoveries we made during our first stay at Kihei Akahi a few years back. We’re certain you will have no trouble making your own wonderful memories here.
Please enjoy your morning coffee on the lanai. Take the beach chairs and towels across the street to Kam II for the day. Read a chapter. Walk the beach. Let the surf catch you without a care. Feel the gentle warmth of the afternoon trade winds blow through your hair. And admire the sunset over the Pacific – it truly is extraordinary. Oh, and don’t forget to do a little star-gazing (both kinds are brilliant on Maui). The next day, what the heck, do it all over again. ;)

About the owner: Marilyn and Brian are longtime Alaskans currently living in Anchorage. Marilyn moved north in the early 90's from Texas, Brian in the early 80's from the state of Washington.
The Aloha State is considered a second home by many here in the Last Frontier. It's not uncommon to run into friends and neighbors at Costco or Lowes in Kahului - just like home!
Speaking of which, when the ground freezes over and the snow blows sideways for days and then it warms up enough to rain and you think you just saw a Zamboni run a red light, that's when it's time to book the Alaska Airlines flight to Maui!
But, hey, it's Maui . . . who needs an excuse? ;)
