We just spent another weekend at this condo and it was even better than last time. The golf clubs were upgraded (you can play for $15 after 3:00pm) and we loved having the boogie boards to take with us to the east side of the island. As others have said, the location is a short walk to the beach and we just love having a cocktail and watching the sunset before heading back to the condo to cook dinner. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped for you to cook all your meals, there is wireless internet to stay connected with the mainland, and you're only 30 minutes each way from great boogie boarding (on the east side) or snorkeling/sun bathing/surfing along the North Shore. We hit Shark's Cove just after sunrise and snorkeled the cove all by ourselves! It was magical! We'd also highly recommend Sunset Surratt Surf School with Uncle Bryan and his family. One of us was a first time surfer and we both had a fabulous time - you're only about 20 minute drive away from the condo. The condo is clean, well equipped, and perfectly located if you plan to hit both the North Shore and the east side.

We enjoyed 3 wonderful days in this condo. It is sparkling clean, very nicely decorated, and felt very comfortble there. The folks at Lei Lei's (both staff and what I'm sure are neighbors) were all so nice and it was just a nice casual place to eat just steps away. The beach is literally 5 min away down a sidewalk and short jaunt on a service road towards the stables which in itself was a nice scenic walk. It was so convienient to go out snorkeling to our favorite local spots like sharks cove and three tables which are just about a 10 min drive, then come back shower up and do more sightseeing, lunch, etc and get back in the water late pm. I had always wanted to stay at the the resort, but now, no way, this is much better for sure. More room, more comforts and privacy. Those two lanais are wonderful. Interaction w/ the owners, for inquiry before booking, the actual booking, and post-stay was professional and friendly at the same time. You wont' be dissapointed in this condo.

My wife and I stayed in this condo for five peaceful nights. Booking was efficient and cordial. Picking up the keys was easy. The unit has two lanais, which is a plus. I especially liked having a cocktail out on the lanai by the living room which has a tree house quality. The bird watching there was lovely. The condo was well appointed. It has air conditioning, comfortable furniture, flat screen tv with cable. The kitchen was stocked with all of the cooking utensils necessary for cooking a full meal. The condo is a 5 minute walk from the beach and the Turtle Bay Hotel. The location is ideal for exploring the North Shore. The pool was clean and close to the unit. The best feature of this unit is that it is peaceful...so quiet and relaxing. The sofa bed was exceedingly uncomfortable but the couch itself was very suitable for sleeping. I highly recommend this unit and I hope to stay there again. Be sure to eat at the Kahuku grill! Don't miss the botanical gardens at Wailua.
Owner response:Thanks for your kind comments and we've just purchased a new Lazy-Boy air mattress sofa bed (we've slept on for 6 nights straight - very comfy) - air is adjustable to personal comfort.

If you are seeking beauty, serenity and a great location, this is the ideal property for you, as it was for us. Everything in the listing description was totally accurate. We especially liked having the washer and dryer and many other extras that were included for our enjoyment. We loved the gentle breeze of the trade winds, the grand Norfolk Pines and waking up each morning to the birds singing. We would definitely recommend it. The owners are lovely to work with and because of such a pleasant experience it has left us yearning to return.

Our family of four (husband, wife, sons 16 and 20) stayed for a week. This condo is private yet close to two swimming pools, tennis courts, TB Resort and beaches. Just about everything you need is there in the condo for you. The kitchen is well stocked, there is snorkel gear, boogie boards, videos, board games, books... Everything you read in the description is accurate and so are the other reviews. Having a washer and dryer is great in that you don't have to pack as much and can avoid checking any baggage. We lived on Kaua'i for 6 years and wanted to learn more about Oahu. The idea of staying Waikiki was a bit daunting for us, so we opted for the North Shore. It was the right decision and the area did feel familiar. We lucked out with calm surf and snorkeled at Shark Cove and swam and jumped off the rock at Waimea Beach. We also discovered the best poke comes from Kahuku Superette! Don't pass it up. Their spam musubi was great too. Can't get poke on the mainland! Ted's Bakery is good for breakfast or lunch. Impossible's Pizza is good too. Ola's is pricey but onolicious! I recommend Rob and Mary's condo. It feels homey, is comfortable and is well appointed. You will not be disappointed staying here on the North Shore. Aloha!

Thank you for a wonderful stay at your very comfortable condo. I live on the other side of the island and came here in search of a quiet, cozy place in which to unwind for a few days. The condo far exceeded my expectations. It was clean, nicely decorated and well appointed. I love how the living room looks out onto a mini grove of beautiful old Norfolk pines that grow immediately outside. Other flowering trees also surround the condo so that every window has a picturesque garden view. With the added bonus of a symphony of chirping birds heard throughout the day, the setup made me feel like I was staying in a remote woods tucked away in the mountains! (Hard to believe the ocean is a mere 10-minute walk from the front door....) If you like the feel of natural Hawaiian tradewinds, the opposing lanais offer a pleasant cross current all day long. I also enjoyed strolling over to the nearby hotel, and Kahuku Grill had some delicious eats. I had a perfect rest in this tropical haven. I highly recommend this little corner of paradise.

We had a great stay June '09. The place is quiet and has everything you could possibly need. It is a top corner unit and if I did not see the neighbors myself, I would have thought we had the whole place to ourselves. The bed is very comfortable. Using a condo is so much better than a hotel. Kitchen has all utensiles, pots, pans, etc. They have provided books, DVD's, beach chairs, snorkel gear, beach towels, tennis racquets, golf clubs, boogie board, surf boards, and too much stuff to list. We hardly used any of it, but it was nice to have it there if we wanted to. North shore is beautiful. I am SO glad we decided to stay there instead on Honolulu. If you like the city, stay in Honolulu. If you like Maui and Kauai, stay on the North Shore. Eating options are more limited, but the beauty and peace more than makes up for it. The only warning I would give is that the stairs up to the bedroom are quite steep. Not for the elderly or someone that has bad knees or hips. I would highly recommend "North Shore Shark Adventure" and "Dolphin excursions". Being in a cage surrounded by sharks and swimming with wild dophins were both totally awsome. We were sad to leave and would stay there again. Thank you.

Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your lovely condo. It was so much more beautiful & enjoyable than I had even expected, I can't say enough good things about it. From casual observations during our many strolls through the Kuilima Estates complex, I personally think your condo is the best located. We had complete privacy during our stay, with nothing but beautiful views of lush greenery from every window. Staying in your condo (which is so adorably decorated, btw) enhanced our vacation so much, it was like being at home, only in paradise. :) I can't imagine ever wanting to stay in a hotel again. The location was perfect for us, Randy's main goal was to get his feet wet surfing after 30+ years of being away from it, and with Sunset Beach & Lani's only 5 minutes away (and some lucky unseasonal swells & breaks, according to the locals), he had the time of his life. Also the bruises & surf-rash to show for it. :) We surfed, swam, hiked, drove all around Oahu & saw many sights, and at the same time have enough things still on our to-do and to-see list to fill next year's itinerary. :) We really, really love North Shore, it is the perfect laid-back atmosphere and culture for us. Everyone was so friendly & full of aloha spirit. Thank you again for your hospitality. As long as you continue to rent out your condo to vacationers, you can count on us as loyal patrons. :) Mahalo! Hi guys- we just got home from Oahu. After spending 5 days on the North Shore we went to Waikiki for another 5. We had a great time at your condo and I left a note about how great it was. It was definitely spacious enough and we especially liked the privacy and peacefulness of the unit.

Hello, Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful stay we had at your home. We were impressed with how clean and serene it was upon our arrival. Size wise, it was perfect for our family of 4. The mattress topper for the pull out made it very comfortable. We loved the view from both Lanais and the proximity of the pool was perfect. Being so close to Turtle Bay resort was a terrific bonus too! Jim and I will sure miss our 5pm mai tais at the Hang 10 Bar! Mahalo, Rachel
