Our family in Paris

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 young girls) stayed here for one week over Spring Break and we were so happy in the apartment! The area of town is so central, you can walk anywhere! We ate in the restaurants close by or just went to the market and picked up what we needed for dinner. It was fun to 'live like a Parisian' just off Rue Montorgueil. Thanks so much, Bruce for working with us on our flexible dates of travel - it really made our vacation!!!!

Dear Dad, Thanks for the wonderful opportunity to stay in the heart of Paris. Michelle and I had a great time. Probably tried to see too many sights in such a short period of time. Just hanging out on Tiquetonne and chillin' in the hood couldn't have been better. Felt just like home without all the responsibilities piled up. Can’t wait to come back with Michelle one day and truly enjoy the Parisian lifestyle. Jason and Michelle January 2008

The Paris apartment was the final stop in a 33day trip which encompassed stops in Italy and France. We were thoroughly impressed by the open feeling of the apartment. We were met by the concierge who thoroughly briefed us. There was a welcome bottle of wine and cheese along with fresh flowers. We found the apartment to be a welcome change from the hotel rooms. The location of the apartment is a major plus. One block away is a happening street that has about 25 restaurants in 2 blocks. The vegetable stands, bakeries, and cheese shops offer the finest foods to take back to the apartment. After a long day of pounding the pavement sightseeing, it was sure nice to be able to stay in rather than dress to go out. The location of the apartment makes it easy to reach the various attractions of Paris. We were big walkers and found the sights and sounds of Paris delightful. After 8 days there, it was tough to head back home to reality. My wife and I will recommend the apartment to our friends as being a real value when compared to the other accommodations that we encountered during our trip. Thanks Bruce, you really helped make our 50th anniversary trip special. Noelle and Mel, Los Angeles June 2008

My husband and I stayed here on May 2008. We both loved the flat. It is centrally located to the metro, restaurants, bakeries, gelato shops, markets, cheese shops, and the butcher shops. These shops are all on Montorgueil. Bruce and his staff were very quick, friendly, and accommodating. We would stay here again.

Dear Bruce, Our time together here in Paris has been a wonderful renewal of our long-term friendship ( dating back to 1975). I really enjoyed meeting Odile and Jose. They are fun people. And I will never forget our nightcap at the Pompidou. What an amazing view of the city! Nor will I ever forget the choral music at St. Eustache. It was absolutely magical. And we had a great time at Le Tambour with you, Odile and Jose and my good friend Karin. As to the apartment, you and Barb are to be congratulated on creating an oasis of comfort and serenity amidst the turmoil of an intensely active city. Everytime I returned to your apartment, I felt I was coming home. You have always been the best of friends, and I will try to be an even better friend to you in the future. Larry April 2008

Dear Bruce and Barbara, This is the perfect location. We enjoyed every minute here. After walking all day, every day, it was so nice to have this lovely apartment to come home to at night. Cozy, quiet and while it was cold, cold outside, warm and comfy inside. We hope to come back soon. Many thanks to Helene who was a great help and gave us a very warm welcome. We have just enjoyed our third stay at 11 rue Tiquetonne and had another wonderful time. We were so fortunate to have lovely autumnal weather, with virtually no rain. Rick and Sharonjean Leeds October 2007

Dear Bruce, What a wonderful feeling to come home each night to a lovely flat in such a perfect location. It was fun to show off my home to friends who live in Paris and were very impressed. I look forward to a return visit. Thank you for the wine, cheese, bread and flowers. It was a welcome sight when I arrived tired and hungry. Barbara September 2007

Thank you for the fine apartment. It suited our needs perfectly. Sylvaine was very helpful getting us orientated. We loved Paris, cooked a fine meal here, visited with our son, and are now off to Venice. Stanley January 2007

What a delightful stay in wonderful rue Tiquetonne. No matter how much one may experience Paris, always a surprise awaits and Montorgueil was exactly that.

We stayed in the apartment in March of 2006. The apartment was great, very, very clean, in the old historic building (wonderful wooden beams cross the ceiling). The location couldn't be better - about a minute walk from Etienne Marcel metro station, about 5 minute walk from Rue Montorgueil where you can buy some of the most delicious things you'll ever taste in your life. Louvre is 10 minutes by walk; Ile de la Cite is just as close. The apartment is perfect for a couple; additional people will have to sleep on the pull-out sofa (which was OK with us, but some people may find it uncomfortable). If we go to Paris again, this appt. will be the first on our list of possible accomodations.

We loved the apartment and felt like we got to be part of Paris for a month. Much more so than if we had stayed in a hotel in a touristy neighborhood. We were sure a month would be enough, but we are already planning our next visit. Ann and Dean May 2006

I stayed at the apartment for 17 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The apartment is modest, but nice and has a comfortable feel. The area it is located in is very convenient with all kinds of stores, bakeries, shops, and is close to major sites. The Parisian contact I worked with (Helene) was consistently friendly and helpful.

Dear Bruce and Barbara, Staying at your apartment has greatly enhanced our Paris experience. This is the third time for me in this city and, because of your apartment, absolutely the best. After wearing out our feet each day, it's been great to have this place to come "home" to. What a difference it makes. Spaciousness, comfort, great location, even a high-speed internet connection for our Sony laptop. We hope to return here someday. Phil, Joan and Ezra April 2005

Dear Bruce and Barbara, Well, tomorrow we are on our way back to San Francisco. We had a fabulous 11 days on Tiquetonne. We have walked all over the neighborhoods of Paris, eaten in many wonderful restaurants and shopped in lovely boutiques. It is hard to put into words how much we have enjoyed staying in this terrific apartment. We love the location and have walked up and down rue Montorgeuil many times. Thank you! Sharonjean and Rick

Bruce and Barbara, We love the apartment! It is so new, spacious and clean. The location is very good also. My teenage daughter has especially enjoyed the shopping nearby. Thanks very much. (The flowers, bread, wine and cheese made us feel very pampered.) Thanks to Sylvaine as well. She was great. We will return! We love Paris! Ann and Theresa June 2004

Bruce, We felt so fortunate to have been able to stay here and you definitely have the best location for an incredible and memorable Paris experience. We are "late bloomers" in regards to traveling and your kindness as well as Sylvaine's competence made such a difference. Pearl March 2004

We immediately felt at home in the apartment which is so spacious and full of conveniences hard to find in other Paris rental apartments. We also loved the neighborhood. We expected noisy nights but we were positively surprised by how quiet and comfortable our sleep was. Very conveniently located! We like to do Paris on foot and from Rue Tiquetonne we walked everywhere. Monica and Kathleen, San Francisco March 2004
