Little Place in the Sun is absolutely wonderful! Everything described in the rental ad is exact. The location is very convenient and just the right size for a couple or small family. The owner is very accommodating and helpful by leaving personal notes and suggestions for things to see and do while you are there. We went just to relax and this is the perfect place for that. Beautiful view of the gulf from the deck or if you prefer, from the living area. We look forward to returning soon!

This was our 2nd time to stay here, and we cant wait to get back! The rooms are very clean and the view is great! Even though it is across the street from the beach, you probably get there just as quick as someone staying in a high rise condo! I would definitley recommend staying here, and we will be back! Very pleased with everything!

As first time snowbirds we were very happy with our stay. The condo was even better than we could have hoped for - it is hard for the photos to do it justice. It was sparkingly clean and had everything we needed, right down to a new crockpot. The location is excellent - close to the beach and everything else. We found many activities geared to snowbirds by visiting the Welcome Center and Senior Center. We enjoyed playing cards, potlucks, dancing and even a horseshoe league.Great walking trails at the State Park and a free library card. Be sure to pick up a Mullett Wrapper (small newspaper with snowbird acitivites that is free and available at many stores & Senior Center.

This was our first visit to the gulf, and we absolutely loved it! "Little place in the sun," was very comfortable and overall a great place to stay. It was nice to use the kitchen every morning to make breakfast, then head to the beach. We did several of the "things to do" on Janet's list and loved everyone. We would defintely recommend Ft. Morgan and especially making the drive over to Pensacola to tour the Naval aviation museum and lighthouse. As far as places to eat, Janet has a pretty good idea about those as we ate at several. One that we would recommend that was not on her list was the Gulf Island Grille. It was really excellent. It is going to be really hard to go back to the Atlantic after visiting the Gulf!

We stayed 7/15 - 7/23 and absolutely loved it. It's close to the beach and all the shops. We found that we went to the public beach area due to all the people directly across from the condo, it was less crowded. Our favorite place to eat was Hazel's. It has a buffet and has great choices from fried chicken to catfish and shrimp. You could actually eat healthy if you wanted too. Get to any of the eating places early if you can, not as long of a wait. We loved it so much in Gulf Shores and the whole area, that we are looking into retiring there. The people are so friendly and they treat you like they have known you for ever!! Love...love...love it there!! Thanks again Janet for a great place to come to!

We stayed at The Little Place in the Sun from June 16-25 and enjoyed every minute of it. It was the perfect home away from home. The view was awesome! We hated leaving, but we will for sure be back to visit The Little Place in the Sun very soon!

We just returned from Little Place in the Sun. We were there June 4-9th. It was a perfect trip. This condo has everything you could possible need. It was so nice being close to the beach. We could walk over for snacks and drinks, and since I have children it was nice for bathroom breaks. My family of 4 has stayed here twice now and would not choose any other place to stay when we are in Gulf Shores. The water was great, the beaches were sugary white sands, completely perfect. The shells we found on this trip were so large we could not believe it. Many great places to eat in the area, but Sea n Suds is our favorite and we ate there almost every night. This condo is perfect for familys, nice deck with a view, complete kitchen, everything you would need to feel like home. We love Little Place in the Sun!!!!

The pictures do not do this place justice. As soon as we walked through the door we felt right at home. The condo has a wonderful beach home atmosphere, and it has everything you could possibly need. The wrap around deck is just icing on the cake. It is located very close to everything, but far away enough to enjoy more peace and quiet. Janet is wonderful to rent from, not only does she explain everythihng thoroughly, she also leaves you tips on all the local hot spots. I recommend this condo and I definitely plan on renting this place again on my next trip to Gulf Shores, AL!!!

Recently my daughter, her family & I spent almost a week at "Little Place in the Sun". It really is a joy to stay at this condo! It is tastefully decorated & very relaxing the minute you walk through the door! We had all we needed there to meet our needs plus a short walk to the beach, great places to eat & some fun entertainment of an evening if we wanted to go out. The "kids" tried out the go-cart tracks & had a blast!! The beach was clean & we took full advantage of that...laying in the sun or taking a walk. Just what we all needed!! Thanks Janet!

Love the fact you can go to the grocery and be able to fix meals and easy clean-up with the dishwasher! Also, a washer / dryer combo that helps cut down on laundary when you get home. Walking distance to the beach, close to places to go shopping, out to eat and entertainment! Definitely a place to consider when you are planning a trip to Gulf Shores!

We spent a 3 day weekend here in late August, 2010. Was all it was advertised to be. Had a great weekend, plenty of privacy at this time of year - colleges back in session, snow birds hadn't started to arrive yet.

This was our first full winter away from home, but definately not our last. We were so fortunate to find this lovely "Little Place in the Sun". Everything in the listing was accurate and then some. It was very cozy and we felt right at home. Didn't have to bring anything but our clothes. All the stores and shops are close by. The restaurants are all so good, and the fresh fish shops are wonderful. If you like fishing, this is the place to go. You can fish on the lagoon or on the beach. Charter fishing is also great and very affordable. The owner is so sweet and accomadating, she tries to please you in any way she can. I could go on and on, but I'd like to keep this place a secret as it is a rare find.
Owner response:Thank you so much for spending the winter!!!

7/26/09 Just returned from a perfect week at Little Place in the Sun. I would highly recommend this condo, it is in the perfect location. We didn't have to drive to the beach it was right across street. This condo had everything you could ask for, perfect view, nice and quiet, and close to everything. The condo has a great deck for just relaxing and enjoying the ocean view. On the last day we went to the beach early in the morning and there were dolphins close to shore. It was amazing. The owner of the condo makes booking so easy that we can't wait till we can go back again.

We have just returned from a sun-and-fun filled March at Little Place in the Sun. The info and pictures in VRBO don't begin to show how accommodating this condo is. We have come to Gulf Shores for nearly ten years now and this condo is our favorite spot to be for a month away from Vermont's snow and cold !

I love going to this condo! It is convenient to Mobile, which is just an hours drive. The view is spectacular of the Gulf, flying pelicans, planes and kites. Very neat, clean, and well equipped with about everything you need for a wonderful stay at the beach. Near stores, entertainment, fishing, restaurants, boating, and sunbathing. Great little balcony to have a relaxing drink in the afternoon or - for that matter - early in the morning. Eating area is overlooking the Gulf/beach area and relaxing. Owner does everything to make your stay very enjoyable - including low rental rates. Enjoy your time there and be sure and book return trip early!

Comment Text: Was a great place to stay by the water. Nice view, great people, along with the restaraunts, and EXCELLENT fresh seafood, to be able to cook at "home". It was a short time but really enjoyed the time on the beach. Had forgotten how long it had been since I flew a kite. Thanks for a very "home like" place to spent a few days, and let the worries wash away in the breeze and water. Very relaxing, enjoyed my stay! I highly advise EYE-GLASSES to be kept on the shore not on the head in water ,as my brother lost them in a big wave! (there are a bunch of one hour glass places in Pensacola!), and I really enjoyed the drive there, nice scenery along the way, and every convenience imaginable to kill a couple of hours hours!! (would have rather been at the beach, but it was nice to have the ability to handle the "unexpected" Problem.) P.S. now you'll know why the fish wear glasses in Gulf Shores!!!!! Thanks for a great getaway!! Krista

This is a great place to stay. Love the view and proximity to the beach. A stones throw from fishing, Biloxi and dogracing, shopping etc. I just love to chill out in the Gulf of Mexico and let the stress be released in the salty air. Very relaxing and nice place to spend a week or 3 or a couple of days. I highly recommend this as a top getaway spot. Was just there a couple weeks ago and had a wonderful experience. The fresh seafood is wonderful.

We love this "little place in the sun"! It's a great condo for a family or individual. It has a great view of the beach from the balcony and is a short walk across the street to the beach. It is very cute and clean and you can't beat the price either. I have been for many years and consider it my home away from home! :)
