This is a happy, casual, kick back and mellow out vacation property.
2 adjacent properties - - to choose from - or book together!
A 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom Beach Cottage (The Neat Beach Retreat)
A 2 Bedroom, 1 bathroom Beach Cottage (The Classic Cozy Cottage)
Rentable separately or together for large groups. - - - - each on their own street, but the backyards meet each other and a gate can be opened up when renting both for a large group - then you get one Large Compound.

IMPORTANT -
The Neat Beach Cottage has 1 bathroom, and 1 showeroom to rinse the sand after a great day at the beach! - -
The Classic Cozy Cottage has 1 bathroom with an outdoor shower and a funky outdoor clawfoot soaking tub - Both have Hot Tubs!
The vrbo listing of "3" bathrooms is a permanent typo, that we as owners don't have access to change - should read "2" total when renting both adjacent properties - sorry for any confusion.

• Amenities
  • Linens Provided: 2 choices - we encourage folks to BYO (Bring Your Own Linens) to save money, but for folks traveling long distance, or for your convenience, we're glad to accommodate ya'! $25 bed linens; $25 towels.
  • Off Street Parking: 2 on the driveway - cross street one house away has parking as well - no worries about permit parking - no permits starting at our house.
  • Parking for RV/Boat/Trailer: If it's van RV, you can diagonally park in the driveway; other cars can park on the street, no special stickers needed.
  • Gas Fireplace: Besides the non-allergy, eco heaters, there's an Electric Fireplace Woodstove looking cutesy, romantic, heater in the Master Bedrooms - better than GAS - because it doesn't burn fossil fuels. Gas wall heater.
• Beds
  • King Bed: Comfy as can be - extra long - great for those tall folks in the Neat Beach Retreat 3 bedroom Cottage...we put a daybed and trundle combo with mattresses that can be turned to make into a King for flexibility as 2 singles or a Kind in the Classic Cozy 2 bedroom Cottage.
  • Queen Bed: In the sleeping niche, bedroom 2, Neat Beach Retreat 3 bedroom Cottage.
  • Double Bed: In bedroom 3 - along with the kids "boat bed" in the Neat Beach Retreat 3 bedroom Cottage.
  • Twin/Single Bed (2) : As listed above, we have 2 single beds in the Master Bedroom that convert to a King if needed - great for flexibility of sleeping arrangements.
  • Bunk Bed: In the little Classic Cozy 2 bedroom Cottage, there is a bunkbed along with a kids "boat bed" for fun for the kids!
  • Child Bed: Neat Beach Retreat and the Classic Cozy both have a small child/tot size bed, the USS Dream-a-liner Island style-"boat bed"!
  • Convertible Bed: Living room has a sofa bed (full size, bigger than a twin, smaller than a double.) Both Cottages have these in the Living Rooms.
  • Crib: No cribs but a crib sized mattress is stored in the bedroom closet of the Neat Beach Retreat 3 bedroom Cottage; a fold-out foam tots chair is found in the 2 bedroom Classic Cozy Cottage.
• Entertainment
  • Cable/Satellite TV: Local stations, so you "get the beach vibe" in the Neat Beach Retreat. In the Classic Cozy Cottage, there is WIFI, so you can watch TV on your laptop...a TV is still there with the Nintendo Game Cube and rabbit ears for the TV - wouldn't you rather do board games, video games and watch TV on your laptap, or be at the Boardwalk or beach anyway?
  • TV (No Cable/Satellite): See Above.
  • VCR
  • Video Library: a few unless you book at the end of the season, in which case, if a couple or a few disappear - miraculously - ugh - we don't magically replace them. - BYO recommended in case you're not into our taste! LOL!
  • Video Game Console: Not fancy, but family fun - a couple plug 'n' play types in the Neat Beach Retreat Cottage, and a Game Cube in the Classic Cozy Cottage.
  • Video Games: We supply a couple at the start of the season, no guarantees they'll be there when you book, depends on the honesty of the guests that come before you! Gamestop has cheapo games - close by, and it gives you a reason to check out the Capitola Mall!

  • Music Library: a few - byo - how 'bout bringing some Hookie-luau music?
  • Private Hot Tub: In private courtyard under a wisteria/rose arbor, next to Kids Tiki and where the BBQ/lounging are for the Neat Beach, and under a bamboo gazebo for the Classic Cozy Cottage.

  • Full Kitchen: Outdoor casual dining wear or traditional dining plates and bowls etc...everything you need is here for your large group - large spagetti pots, even a little Espresso machine for those lattes to take with you on your morning strolls to the beach!
  • Cooking Utensils Provided: Everything you need - coffee pot, tea kettle, espresso machine, large pans and pots, plenty of utensils, cookie sheets, blender,...you bring the paper products if you use paper towels and paper napkins.

  • Gas/Electric BBQ Grill: Propane tank may or may not be full - you may have to go and buy propane - we do not monitor it. We start off the season with a full tank!

  • State of the Art "Green" Convective heat - allergy free & great for our environment, uses little wattage -- and Non-polluting Electric Woodstove heater, Mini Espresso/Cappuchino Machine, Whimsical toddler Boat Bed knicknamed "The USS Dreamaliner"; Kids "Tuggy the outdoor Play Boat"; Bistro dining (basically, a little table to sit outside and eat) suntan or shade lounging mini courtyard areas for intimate or small group gathering, Board Games, Fully stocked kitchen with indoor and outdoor plates, glasses etc, High Speed Internet.

  • Pet Friendly: Small fido or fifi may be accepted if passing the GREAT PET! GUEST REQUIREMENTS- Must pass the Good Conduct Award, height, weight, age and Vet requirements. Our GUEST SERVICES can also set up a Wonderful Time at the Doggie Day Care and Fun with others Place! Guest Service fee applies. For large Doggies, our GUEST SERVICES can arrange a WONDERFUL stay at a PET SPA, PET LODGE - Guest Service fee applies. GUEST SERVICES can also set up Fifi or Fido's Doggie Day Care for Pets passing the Pet Guest Requirements. Please no sneaky-innies - not a suitable property for that. We are NOT a hotel or motel, so don't expect the Ritz, but we will accommodate folks with extra needs for a fee.

In additon to the Pleasure Point beaches a block close, a short, romantic stroll through old-growth Euculyptus Grove gets you to Moran County Beach, good for skim boarding; or if Quaint Capitola Village is your destination-bring your bikes or take a great invigorating walk 1.5 miles and savor the local feel of the area! 3 mi to Harbor, 5 mi to the Boardwalk fun!
