Deck Overlooking the Water - Lake Austin Home in the Texas Hill Country Conveniently located 25 minutes from downtown Austin on beautiful Lake Austin, the house is easily accessible via car or from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. It is just past the 360 Bridge off 2222 in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. You can experience plenty of rest and relaxation in this spacious waterfront home. Every room in the house has spectacular views of Lake Austin's serene water. Ski from the private boat dock or lounge in the hammock on the large back deck. Cook dinner while gazing at the water. Barbecue on the gas barbecue grill and eat outside on the picnic table. Enjoy the private boat dock, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, full kitchen, RV garage, games and toys for kids. Whether you spend your days outdoors on the lake boating, skiing, fishing, swimming, or enjoying the sunshine lounging on the spacious back deck you will love this house and never want to leave. If you are interested in boating somewhere you can rent a boat at Aqua-ventures or put your own boat in at one of the local boat ramps. You can also boat to several restaurants. If you are interested in traveling a short distance by car, you can go to many local restaurants and grocery stores in less than 15 minutes. If you want to travel a little farther, you can visit the world-renowned Lake Austin Spa, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, the State Capitol, the University of Texas, Sixth Street District, Zilker Botanical Gardens, the Arboretum Shopping area, or any of the local music venues.

VRBO Bear Enjoying the Deck VRBO Bear stayed here - 09/17/2005 - on site review: A perfect place for a bear and his friends to get away from it all, yet, still be "city close" to Austin. This vacation home is located right on the waterfront of Lake Austin. Relax on one of the TWO decks - enjoy in the hammock for a little bit of hibernation. Large mature trees give you the choice of a place in the sun, or a place in the shade. I like having choices if you know what I mean. Inside the air conditioned home, there's a large fully equipped kitchen, dining and living room, full laundry, multiple fireplaces (there's even an outside fireplace too!!!),3 bedrooms and two baths - the King Size bed in the master bedroom was especially comfortable. Every day we saw deer in the neighborhood... this waterfront vacation home is city close, yet worlds apart. Signed, VRBO Bear
