We had a wonderful time. The beds were comfortable, and it was great to have toiletries and paper products provided. Walked to Wrigley Field and around the neighborhood. We would recommend it definitely for a group of friends who want to see a great neighborhood in Chicago.

Winter Wonderland in Wrigleyville

Guest: Mary Kay S.
Date of Stay: 12/08/11 Review Submitted: 12/14/11

From the first inquiry about the property, i was impressed with Teri. She was quick to repond to all of my questions and always went above and beyond to add additional information about the house, the neighborhood, and even directions on how to get to the house by car, plane,or public transportation. The home is just as lovely as the pictures appear. When we arrived, we were greet with lights on, great station on the stereo, and a fresh Christmas tree with lights and decorations, on each of the three floors. My girlfriends first comments were, "OMG, I want her cleaning lady, this place is immaculate!" Teri has arranged a very detailed 3 ring notebbok of restaurants in the area with reviews and menus. We used it to find a local restaurant the 1st evening, and just as Teri had stated-It was terrrific! Included in the book is information about neighborhood and city attractions. One of the guests has decided that she will bring her wedding party there for a bachlorette party. I may never stay in a hotel again.

Wonderful Wrigley Suite

Date of Stay: 11/10/11 Review Submitted: 11/16/11

Coming from a hospitality profession, I strongly believe that service is what distinguishes two businesses apart. Not only does Teri provide remarkable service working with guests, but her home is so beautifully furnished that her guest service and home property share an equal incredible quality. It is a vary rare occasion that my large family has the opportunity to get together. This past weekend, my whole family was able to connect in Chicago for three nights at Teri's wonderful Wrigley Suite and we couldn't have been at more ease. Before arriving at the property Teri is extremely responsive to aiding in setting up your trip; she sends you a thorough, nicely organized information packet about what's at the home, how to get there (from all directions!), activities around town, parking, etc. Teri is always quick to pick up her phone or respond via email with any additional questions. Moreover, she is more than willing to work with guests on additional amenity requests and does so with a warm inviting attitude. Finally, the property itself is gorgeous -very nicely maintained, spacious, up-to-date appliances, clean, ready to go for each party and located in the perfect spot of Lake View. The street the house is on is sandwiched between two main streets: Southport with the grocery store, a line of awesome boutiques and restaurants and Clark Street notorious for a great nightlife scene and where Wrigley field is! All in all, I highly recommend Teri's property as she is a wonderful hospitality professional keeping up an outstanding property.

Great girls weekend getaway!

Guest: KMW3 (VA)
Date of Stay: 06/18/11 Review Submitted: 07/22/11

Every year my girl friends and I pick a new destination for a long weekend in the springtime. This year we chose Chicago and decided to stay at Teri's Chicago Guest House in Wrigleyville. First of all, the house is spacious and beautifully decorated! With seven ladies space can get tight, but the layout of the house made it such that we had plenty of room to relax and get ready for the day. Although we never used the back patio area, it was a nice option for an outside meal or happy hour! The location couldn't have been any better. We were able to walk basically everywhere we wanted to go (Wrigley Field, surrounding shops, the the "L", grocery shopping, etc.) which really saved us time and money. Teri made the checking in and out process very easy, and was extremely accommodating to our group as well. The house also had two other guest houses, and all of the other guests were respectful and pleasant, which made our experience even better. Teri, thanks so much for letting us stay in your lovely guest house and for all of the nice amenities (coffee, tea, spices, toiletries, etc!) I would definitely rent this property again!

Perfect for large family

Date of Stay: 10/28/10 Review Submitted: 07/08/11

We had 8 people staying here for our wedding along with the other two rental properties in the same building. We were all comfortable with space and left all our doors open during the day so we could mingle in all the properties and it was easy to close doors and not disturb the people sleeping when the party finished on the downstairs floor. Street parking was tricky, but with the garage spaces we had no problems. The kitchen was large enough to host a professional chef for our rehearsal dinner. And during our stay we had trouble with the air conditioner, but Teri sent someone over that same day and got it working for us. Throughout the entire booking process Teri was always available and made things as easy as possible for us. Since our wedding, we've had family members come back and stay here when they came to visit Chicago for a weekend and always have great things to say.

Great place for a Chicago getaway

Guest: Susan M.
Date of Stay: 04/28/11 Review Submitted: 07/04/11

We had the best time visiting our son who'd taken a job in the Windy City. Just happened on the Chicago Guesthouse because it's in his neighborhood. Traveled (from CA) with another couple, and we found everything perfect: well-furnished, spotlessly clean and great amenities, fully supplied. Wonderful to have garage parking, so we could take the El or not. Visited the Art Institute and Millennium Park, rented bikes and rode along the Lake, drove to Hyde Park and went to the Museum of Science and Industry, U of Chicago, and took river architecture tour ... loved it all. The apartment met and exceeded expectations based on the website photos and info. Owner was accessible to help with our questions. Absolutely would recommend.

Wedding stay

Guest: Melinda (Dallas, TX)
Date of Stay: 11/12/09 Review Submitted: 06/26/11

My family and I stayed in 2 of Teri's guest houses for my wedding week. They were fabulous houses...even prettier in person than in the on-line photos. We spent a lot of time in the houses eating, hanging out together, and finalizing plans before the wedding, and it felt like being at home. Actually...much prettier than my own home : ) Bathrooms were spacious and meticulously clean. Beds were all very comfortable and the living and dining areas were covenient and comfortable for sitting around and talking. The neighborhood is beautiful ... tree lined streets near shops and restaurants and the El station. All guests were so pleased by the experience because they were able to see the city and sites by day and relax in an atmosphere that felt like home by night. Thanks Terri!

What a terrific place to stay! We held a reunion of cousins & all were very impressed by the quality, space, and amenities. The kitchens were extremely well equipped and the bedrooms/baths were clean with nice soaps, etc. (Delighted to find a full jacuzzi in one of the bathrooms!) Lovely site on a quiet street & close to good restaurants & shops. Teri was always available for questions or help whether it was garage door openers or good pizza places! We had a wonderful time and highly recommend Chicago Guest House for your next visit to Chicago.

Chicago Guest House is a fabulous place to stay

Guest: Patty (St Charles, MO)
Date of Stay: 05/27/11 Review Submitted: 06/03/11

We had the best time at Teri’s Chicago Guest house. Our group consisted of 14 adults and we rented out the first two flats of the Lakewood house. It was fabulous. We will definitely rent again next year. The house was immaculate with up to date appliances and furniture. The beds were very comfortable and I just loved the downstairs bath. The weekend we stayed was a rainy weekend and thus we stayed in house more than we went out doors. The kitchen and dining area was large enough to accommodate the 14 adults. The outside patio was also very nice. We grilled one night and found all the kitchen ware we needed. Saturday we took a short walk and went to the Cubs game. Sunday we took a little longer walk and went to the lake. There are restaurants, stores, and bars just around every corner from this house. What a great location. Thanks for having us Teri. We will see you and your house next year. Thanks from STL.
