All guests have access to: country club with pool, golf center with an 18 hole ($20-$30 for guests, par 71 PGA golf course, tennis courts, basket ball courts, hiking trails and horse back riding. No need to cook... club house restaurant with the best view of the lake open for lunch and dinner. Access to private pontoon boat available for additional rental charges (boat over to the country club to eat or swim in minutes). No outside boats allowed on this private lake. Civil war sites and Montelier Wineries 10-30min. drive.
The peaceful house is on the best cove for swimming (no wake zone)with clear water and is within walking distance of a sand beach.

When we first arrived it was dark so couldn't really see outside but when we woke up in the morning and saw the view I was sooo excited I wanted to wake everyone up just like Christmas morning. Most beautiful lake house we stayed.

We had such a great time. We will definitely do it again in the future. It was so relaxing and the kids had a blast fishing into the night. The nice thing was that it was so close to home. I use to be a flight attendant so we have traveled all over and my 12 year old said this was one of his favorite getaways and he likes it better then the beach!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Thank you for letting us stay at the beautiful house. It was the perfect setting for Christmas and watching the snow fall. It was a wonderful location to visit my grandmother who also lives in Lake of the Woods.

My kids absolutely loved it. My parents were with me and my Dad spent almost all of his time on the pier fishing along with my son. We went, fishing, canoeing, pool, ping pong, games, walked down to the beach, etc. It was all very relaxing. In the past we have gone to the Outer Banks for our vacations and this time we wanted to do something different and I am glad we did. I was a little skeptical as since we are usually on the ocean but we loved it and would go back again.- Tammy Sept. '10"

Absolutely perfect week at the lake. We love your vacation house-perfect size, location and view. Decorated and outfillted perfectly. We were able to visit colleges, visit with family and friends in no. va., golf, canoe and take long walks. The week went too fast.

Waking up to such great view really makes my day. House is really nice. Favorite part of the trip was boating over to the club house for sunday buffet brunch. Food was great, price was amazingly reasonable for a nice country club with awesome view. Eating on the patio while the kids roam on the beautiful grounds is a treat. Vacationing here is better than 4 star resort. Wish we could come every weekend.

The layout of the house is perfect to keep an eye on kids- the upper level and lower level both have a great view of the dock and lake. This lake cottage is like something you see in a magazine- very charming. Being right on the water is really relaxing. Hope to come back again with friends next time.
