If you have been searching for the perfect seaside vacation spot where you can relax and enjoy spectacular scenery, this southern island will take you to a place far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This first floor, over 1200 sq. ft. (biggest two bedroom on island), easy access villa, is just 45 minutes south of historic Charleston and its museums, entertainment, and nightlife.
It's location, with a beautiful view of the 4th green of the golf course from it's large screened in porch, is in the Wyndham Ocean Ridge complex which encompasses more than 300 prime acres on Edisto Island - one of the most beautiful and least commercialized beaches on the east coast. Your front door is literally a 5 minute WALK (shorter on bike) to the beach, 2 pools, new Plantation Club golf course clubhouse, tennis courts, or if you take a couple more steps, fishing charters or one of four family syle restaurant/pubs.
A year-round temperate climate provides for excellent outdoor recreational opportunities. The coastal waters teem with fish, shrimp, crabs, and oysters. Take a leisurely bike ride on miles of paths, hike a nature trail, or kayak in a tidal creek. Beach walks, golf, and tennis complete the day. In the evening enjoy the local seafood at the many restaurants and pubs and look for unique items in the gift shops. Any day on the island can be capped with a nice cold drink watching the spectacular sunset over St. Helena Sound.
