As soon as we all drove in & went in the house we all felt at home. The house is beautiful and laid out perfectly. Plenty of room to roam. Loved the fireplace being able to see from both living room & dining room. We are coming back next year for our annual trip, can't wait. I have already recommended to friends this is the place to stay! A very special thanks to Linda for being so great to work with. I have rented many different places and you were easy to work with and stayed in contact very well. Thanks again for sharing your little slice of heaven with all of us.

We stayed for one month and thoroughly enjoyed or time at the Mountain Creek Lodge. Everything about the house was perfect and the wonderful design and windows made you feel as though you were in the forest. The location was close to excellent hiking and fishing as well as convenient to Glacier National Park and the Bison Range. This is truly a "home away from home" and we could not recommend it more.

Our family stayed at the Mountain Creek Lodge for 3 days at the end of our 2-week road trip vacation. When we first walked in, our teenagers couldn't believe what a great house we were going to be staying in. They asked: "Is this whole place OURS?!" After a series of hotels and motels, we were thrilled to find ourselves in this beautiful home. We had plenty of space to spread out, yet we enjoyed hanging out together downstairs in the living room with its beautiful views of the surrounding woods. We saw deer come right up to the deck every morning. It was very peaceful, private, and relaxing - really a very special place. We wish we could have stayed longer and are definitely planning a return!

Wonderful Stay

Pictures do not do this place justice. We were there mid July, and what a feast for the senses. The creek was high and flowing; a great welcoming sound, the waterton mock orange trees that line the creek were in full bloom, the sweet smell scenting the whole area, the wildlife sightings were entertaining. The house itself, warm and comfortable. Everything needed, supplied. Wish we could have stayed longer. I can't see anyone being disappointed with this property.

This was our first visit to the great state of Montana and it was perfect. The pictures do not do the hous justice. The steam alone is worth renting this house. Every day you wake up to deer in the yard and the sound of the stream. We slept like babies. This is an especially great place if you like the feeling of camping out in the woods but like all the comforts of a home. We are already trying to figure out how soon we can go back! This is the ultimate place to get away from it all but still have all the creature comforts!

We stayed here in July, 2010 and came back for a second stay this year. We are already plannning our third stay next year. You will not be disappointed in renting this home for your Montana vacation. It is private, yet just 10 minutes away from Ronan where you can stock up on groceries and other necessities. The woods around the home abound with wildlife, especially deer. Just be careful not to leave your garbage out for the occasional bear visit. The kitchen is well stocked but if you want to eat out, try the Pizza Cafe just past the Dairy Queen for lunch or dinner. They make their own dough for pizzas and calzones. Old Timer Cafe in St. Ignatius is good home cooking with lots of food at reasonable prices. There's an Amish restaurant on Main St. in Ronan that's good for breakfast and lunch but they close early. If you want a two hour trail ride, try Cheff Ranch off 93 by Nine Pipes. The scenery is great in the Mission foothills. This year we tried a two hour ride at Glacier National Park from Swan Mountain Outfitters, the C. M. Russell trail. I don't recommend it. It's two hours of riding through blighted pines and no cameras allowed. It was cheaper but spend the extra bucks for a much better ride at Cheff where you can get some great pictures.

A week in paradise

We spent a week here in June 2011. The views were incredible and accomodations were excellent. The creek gurgling nearby created a special type of serenity. Wild life was abundant and the setting was so private.

This pictures don't do this home justice. When I walked in I was surprised at how big the house was. We traveled with my two young kids (2 & 5). They had everything we needed to keep people entertained and happy. I spent lots of time relaxing on the comfy couches, reading magazines and watching deer though the windows. My kids loved playing outside and exploring the wilderness. We plan on staying again and recommending it to friends and family.

Montana Vacation

The house was even better than the pictures. The location was unbelievable, the gurgling creek put you to sleep, we were awaken by the singing birds. The deer, wild turkeys, squirrels visted every day; and on September 12, Mr. Bear did stroll across the creek via the wooden deck and visit us at the house. Many sights and locations are within a day trip. Moise -Buffalo, Flathead Lake, Glacier National Park, Polson ,Kalispell, Whitefish, Missioula. For those not so active-great beds and a super furnished kitchen to go along with Dish Network TV and the Internet. A great place to get away and have a great vacation. Linda and Kathy are great to work with..

This was my second stay at Mountain Creek Lodge and it was absolutely wonderful. I love the town of Ronan and the beautiful Mission Mountains. The location of this property is superb for privacy, yet only minutes from town. The house is gorgeous with a really unique layout, your choice of decks to enjoy, and it is very luxurious. Everything is immaculate, and the customer service is the best! I highly recommend this house, and I look forward to renting it for the third time.

We travel to the the Mission Valley often to visit family, and each year, we find it more and more difficult to find lodging to accomodate our family comfortably for an extended stay. This year, we happened upon the Mountain Creek Lodge, and we can't say enough about what a fantastic place it was for our family! There was something for everyone at Mountain Creek Lodge: Our teenaged niece was thrilled with computer access so she could keep her friends "in the know" on Facebook while we were on vacation, our 11-year-old was excited to have cable and loved the bridge over the creek, our 6-year-old loved "swimming" in the creek, and all the kids enjoyed playing hide & seek throughout the spacious home as well as the opportunity to watch two does with spotted fawns outside the dining room window each morning. My husband and I enjoyed the peaceful, relaxing location, the lovely master bedroom/bath suite, the well-stocked kitchen that easily facilitated the preparation of family meals, and the provision of adequate space for our family (there is much to be said for not having to "hush" the kids so they don't disturd the tenants above or below in a hotel or condo). In addition, we very much appreciated Linda's prompt, clear and helpful communication and Kathy's great directions and accomodation of our later-than-anticipated arrival. We ABSOLUTELY plan to return to Mountain Creek Lodge on regular basis when visiting family in the area, and we HIGHLY recommend this property to others!

We rented this wonderful residence for our visit to the Flathead Valley. The house is warm and inviting. From the bridge crossing the creek to the house, to the comfortable beds, to the wildlife wandering through the area, to the private grand setting, this house has everything. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck in the cool morning air having breakfast and planning the day events. We traveled to Glacier National Park, the National Bison Range (recommend getting there at 6:30 am to see the most wildlife), and Flathead Lake. Linda, our host was very helpful with all details and was ost gracious. We look forward to our next visit. We highly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed.

LOST CREEK, RONAN (MT)

My mother, sisters and I had our second, too-short stay at this property. It was thrilling to return, very difficult to leave. The sounds and sight of the mountain stream provide a continuous background and template for our relaxation; and while we imagine a larger group for a retreat, think that would be anathematic to the whole sense of serenity, peace. It is a light-filled joy; comfortable beds, couches, great deck for soaking up the air and sun. And, my grandkids loved the staircase, performing from (behind) the banister overlooking the foyer. I felt I couldn't get back soon enough - but unfortunately that may be a while. Convenient to Flathead, Glacier Park, Missoula, & Ronan.

What a great place to stay! If you are planning a trip to this part of Montana, you simply cannot find a better home away from home. It is secluded and peaceful but still minutes away from groceries, gas, and other necessities. Wildlife abounds around the home and the owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Beautiful scenery, activities such as hiking, horseback riding (Cheff Ranch on 93), whitewater rafting (Flathead Raft Company in Polson), swimming, boating, hot springs (Quinn Hot Springs on 135), and the National Bison Range are within a 15-45 minute drive. Glacier National Park is about 2 hours away. This was our second trip to this part of Montana but our first stay at Mountain Creek. We will be back next year and absolutely will book our stay here.

Our group of six gals on a golfing holiday found this home to far exceed even what the photos show on the website. We thoroughly enjoyed the area of Ronan and Polson-- Flathead Lake and the Mission Mtns. are stunning. Even so, we looked forward to returning to the home to enjoy the deck over the creek and all the amenities this home had to offer. It is beautifully appointed and well maintained. Would I recommend this home--absolutely!!

Ronan retreat

We have stayed at this cabin in the late spring for the past two years. It is very secluded and quiet while it has all of the ammenities you would ever need. It is spacious and comfortable and it is extremely relaxing and enjoyable to sit out by the creek and you can watch wildlife behind the property most mornings. This property is great for families as there is much recreation in the area (Flathead Lake is a few miles away, beautiful mountains, etc). The owner is great to work with and extremely helpful and accomodating. To us, this place feels almost like a second home, I would highly recommend it. We really look forward to our stays there.

the rental house near ronan was outstanding. all our needs were fulfilled and house was very nice and very clean. location worked out great. nearby grocery stores, gas stations, scenery, woods, mission mountains,etc. great day trips to flathead lake, glacier np, whitefish, bitteroot river valley, lolo national forest,etc. national bison range less than half hour away from house was a jewel. saw 10 times more wildlife there than at glacier np. a very great experience in montana. thanks p.s. tell my new friends i met at the house hello for me. the wild turkey, the deer, and especially the black bear.

This was our first taste of Montana and one we won't soon forget. The town of Ronan was a perfect place to start. We were able to do easy day-trips to the Hiawatha Bike Trail and The National Bison Range. The town outdoor store was super helpful in teaching us the ropes of fishing in Montana, with plenty of suggestions re where/how to fish so we avoided the cost-prohibitive guides I had seen on the internet. Our teenage/young adult children loved this "hansel and gretel" type find as did my husband and I. It was new, clean, and had just the right amount of amenities, right down to the selection of family movies and books for this otherwise very private,rustic setting. The owner made me feel like an old friend without being intrusive like sometimes happens in Bed and Breakfast type places.

Mountain Creek Lodge was our best vacation ever! What a wonderful place!!! The house is spectacular and the pictures do not do it justice. Mountain Creek Lodge is in a wooded area near the beautiful Misson Mountains yet still close to town and only a short drive to Glacier Park. Our stay at Mountain Creek Lodge in Ronan Montana was amazing. I grew up in the area and when I return home sometimes I tell myself it is to visit family/friends, but really I return to the mountains, woods, pine scented air, and water. When staying at this home you get to experience it all. The home is practically at the base of the Mission Mountains and surrounded by a wooded forest. Those who are interested in wildlife have an opportunity each evening to watch deer nibble on surrounding plants from the one of the many decks, or from inside. When the creek is running you have a pleasant background sound that is sporadically fused with birds chirping and squirrels chattering. I recommend staying at Mountain Creek Lodge- from the weekend get-away to a cozy family/work retreat. In addition to the beautiful property, the owner responds quickly via email/phone call and makes it her priority that you have a wonderful experience.

Our family had a fantastic time at Mountain Creek Lodge. While the house is only minutes from town, it provided us with the quiet, secluded haven we desired. This home offers everything you could possibly need. It is spacious, filled with amenities, and just beautiful. Being avid outdoors enthusiasts, we went to Montana to fish and hike. There are big waters within miles of the house,(with fish just begging to be caught),and all the hiking your heart desires. Linda was a joy to work with. We can't wait to go back. Mountain Creek Lodge should be renamed to "Heaven on Earth"! It is a wonderful setting with the babbling creek, the mountains, the smell of pine & cedar, wildflowers, and the call of birds. You will rarely hear anything man made during your stay. The home is appointed wonderfully with comfy beds, private decks, and all the stuff you need. Close to everything too - Flathead Lake, Glacier Nat. Park, and many good fishing streams. We will return when we get the chance. As another guest put it, pictures and words don't do it justice. A very special place!

Five of us, two from Texas and three from Seattle, Wash. had a wonderful time in the Mountain Creek Lodge. It was so quiet and peaceful tucked away in the trees on five acres. The house was so cozy and offers so many amenities it seemed we were getting late starts on activities we chose for each day we were there. I am recommneding the property for friends and family for future trips to Montana. Wonderful!

Three couples enjoyed the spaciousness of your beautiful home. We were able to tour Glacier and other local natural spots, yet still have a comfortable bed to return to. We appreciated all the amenities such as a well stocked kitchen, laundry and baths. The deer entertained us... and the neighbors we met were very friendly. An A plus vacation home.

Nice place, very upscale and spacious but reasonably priced. We stayed for six nights and felt right at home. The master suite is especially nice, as are the dining room, great room and the huge front deck with long walkway. Nearby attractions include St. Ignatius Mission, Mission Falls, wildlife and buffalo reserves and of course Flathead Lake. Glacier Nationl Park is about a 90-minute drive northeast. All in all, a great value in a vacation rental.

A really nice place, beautifully designed, spacious and relaxing. The luxurious master suite, the dining room, great room and expansive front deck are highights; the peaceful woodsy setting, too. Good location within a fairly quick drive to Flathead Lake, Polson and St. Ignatius Mission, buffalo and wildlife reserves. Day trips to Glacier possible as well. Our kids loved exploring the property and creek bed, and getting to know two neighboring dogs.

WOW! What an absolutely beautiful home. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on our Montana vacation. Horseback riding, rafting, fishing and lots of sightseeing very close by. The kids spent hours playing in the creek at the home while dad and I kicked back on the deck close by. We would definitely love to come back to this home!

We had had a wonderful vacation this summer and our stay at mtn. creek lodge was a huge part of it. The home is amazing and very private although very close to many activities in the area. Top sheif accomadations in one of Montana's most beautiful regions. We would diffently recommend this property without any reservation.
