Be our guests in our private, beautifully landscaped, casita by the sea. We are 22 miles west of San Juan, and located inside the 24 hour, security gated community of Dorado Del Mar. We have three bedrooms, one KING bed, a queen bed and a full bed. There is a separate room off the kitchen, with a futon that can accomodate two. It has two full baths. The beautifully tiled covered patio, located out through the french doors, calls you to relax as you listen to the beautiful sounds of Puerto Rico.

It is only a short walk to Dorado Beach, where you can soak up the beautiful sunshine of Puerto Rico. If your preference is to catch those rays on the golf course, you can play the Dorado Del Mar Golf Club. However, within a mile of the casita, is the Plantation Club and, of course, the world famous Campo de Golf at the Hyatt. Either way, you will know, after a great round of golf, or relaxing in the warm, beautiful, blue waters, you will return home to relax, in your own private casita. This tropical paradise allows you to continue to enjoy the beautiful weather, with palm trees and tropical plants, surrounding the manicured grounds. This casita truly is Puerto Rico.

Feel like cooking?? Near the beach, check the fresh fish the local fisherman have brought in for the day. If cooking is not for you, the Embassy Suites or Hyatt allows you to take advantage of their many restaurants. There are also many local restaurants in the surrounding area.

  • We just spent a wonderful week vacationing in Puerto Rico. We stayed at the Tropical Paradise Casita in Dorado Del Mar. It was absolutely everything we expected and more and so much more relaxing than staying at the big resort hotels. We had all the comforts of home. Especially enjoyed dining out on the patio. The kitchen was a real plus when you wanted to prepare something quickly instead of eating out. All the accommedations were excellent. We spent alot of our trip sightseeing. We toured the Lighthouse overlooking Las Croabas, Fajardo where Bob was stationed many years ago. The views were breathtaking. Fajardo is only about an hour from Dorado. We had several meals at the Don Estabon Restaurant on Rt 3 near the Walmart in Fajardo. The food was excellent. Our friends from the Island took us out to Lake Dos Bocas east of Utuado for a ferry ride and dinner at the Oasta Restaurant overlooking the lake. Great food and beautiful views. Also had an excellent dinner at the Morena Restaurant in Dorado. We definitely would return to this lovely Tropical Paradise Casita in Dorada Del Mar. Bob and Sue Price, Pennsylvania

  • This was our family's second trip to Puerto Rico and we found this lovely home to be exactly right for our needs. My husband and son-in-law enjoyed the fabulous golf courses, my three daughters were delighted to have such easy access to the shops and restaurants of Old San Juan, and I was happy just to walk to the beautiful beaches and get lost in a good book every day. The house has everything you could ask for, including a well equipped kitchen and lovely private garden for relaxing and dining on the terrace. The community is quiet and the neighbors friendly. We liked the convenience of the small plaza just outside the gates, with nightly trips to Baskin Robbins. It was very easy to navigate the major highways to explore the island. Thank you so much for sharing your corner of paradise with us. We hope to return soon!

  • Our family stayed in this wonderful vacation home in February and had one of the best vacations we've had in years! We have a 13 year old and a 2 year old and needed accomodations that were comfortable for all of us. This house was perfect! The back yard and covered patio were safe and fun for our little one and we all loved the quiet beach nearby. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. We will stay here again the next time we visit Puerto Rico!

  • This house is comfortable and makes you feel like you haven't left 'home'. Every room is spacious and the outdoor patio is awesome. It is covered so you can enjoy it even in the rain! The owners are very hospitable. Liz checked on us while we were in Puerto Rico and made sure we were satisfied w/the house and found all the accomodations. i.e. (the pool,the beach, grocery store, etc). You not only pay for a great home in a beautiful location but for the comfort of knowing you will get AMAZING customer service. It is worth it and we will definately use this Casita otravez (again!)

  • Our family wanted to experience a Christmas vacation in a warmer climate, something we had never done. Choosing a place to stay was the most time consuming of it all but the choice we made couldn't of been better. We highly recommend a stay in this beautiful home in Dorado. The house is very spacious and secluded. My husband felt very much at home with their webber gas grill. We all spent a lot of time during our visit enjoying their beautiful patio area. We hope to be able to go back for another visit again someday. Liz & Neal, Thank-You for making our stay so accomodating! You guys are awesome! PS: Puerto Rico was very beautiful as well:)

  • We wanted to have a New Year family reunion and it definitely worked for us. We enjoyed the comfort and openness of the house, the possibility of being together , cooking together and relaxing at the patio area. Everything was clean and well placed. The kitchen was equipped as a gourmet one, so we could deploy our abilities (my wife and the rest, not me. The furniture was modern and adequate. Every morning and evening we relaxed at the gallery area. We had also a good time knowing the island, including the Mask Festival in Hatillo on 12/28, Ponce in the south, the Rainforest Park, Condado, and the different restaurants where people greet you when they come in. It was a wonderful experience and we hope to return in the future.

  • We enjoyed our stay at the house. Alhtough it was a business trip, it was nice to come home to a cozy house instead of a hotel. The house was spacious and clean. The patio was quiet and peaceful. Liz was very cordial over the phone and provided everything we needed. We hope to come back with our families.

  • This house caught my mother's eye after looking through many houses to rent for our vacation. It reminded her of the house we used to live in when we lived in PR. After getting inside, it was certainly alot bigger than it appeared from the outside. Everyone's eyes lit up upon entering. The decor is beautiful, the owners have an eye for decorating and you can tell they are always adding something. This was truly a home away from home experience. Actually, nobody was ready to go home when our week was up. The beds were all very comfortable. We had 5 adult and 3 children and everyone had there own space. We even entertained our family that lives in Puerto Rico at this house 2 nights! The owners have top of the line appliances, the weber grill was great to have. The kids enjoyed the patio and backyard emensely, especially my son who searched for Coquis almost every night. I highly recommend this house to anybody, it was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The beach was only a block and a half walking distance and Embassy Suites has an access path for their beach and pool, which is very close. If you are looking for a house walking distance to the beach, yet centrally located on the island, this is the one! We visited Rincon on one day , Fajardo on another and Arecibo on another, without more than an 1 1/2 hour travel time from the house. If you don't plan on touring through the island, Dorado is a beautiful beach town, close to Old San Juan and the airport. The website description and photos does not do this house justice. The owners are very personable and was easy to get in touch with via email or by phone. We definately plan on staying at this house again when we visit PR!

  • The rental unit at Dorado de Mar is a spacious house with enough room for our family. We had six adults and two grand kids. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the other two rooms have a good size bed that my girls shared and then my brother slept in the Fulton behind the kitchen. This unit has a large shaded patio with a gas grill and a nice patio table. The community is very secure and clean. The house has amble hot water, cable and Internet connections. My family was impressed with the house and my brother-in-law was a little jealous that his condo was not as nice as our guest house. There is a Kmart off highway22 at exit 13 toward the north side and a Sam’s and a Walmart toward the south side of I22. The Walmart is located at the mall called Plaza de Sol. Get a good map at Walgreen’s just outside the community gate and plan early. Puerto Rico has a lot of history and culture. People like to fly their kites on the grounds of Fuerte San Felipe del Morro an old fort in Old San Juan. The city of Arecibo has several attractions, the Arecibo Radio Telescope, the Arecibo light house which has small replicas of ships (my family enjoyed the light house very much) and the Camuy Caves. Any way the trip was wonderful and the guest house was great. Enjoy your trip and don’t forget to visit Ponce. C.H.
