This cozy cottage on the Betsie River is just three miles from Crystal Mountain offers an excellent family vacation retreat or romantic get-away. Fish for the plentiful Steel head, Brown, or Rainbow Trout. Hunt for the abundant gourmet morel mushrooms, or simply enjoy the sight, sounds and smells of Northern Michigan emerging into spring. Summer sunshine and water invite swimming, water-sports, or just sunbathing. Take a canoe, kayak, or tubing trip through miles of peaceful wilderness. Walk to the top of the sand dunes at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, just a short drive from your door.
Fall is the season to fish for the great Coho or King Salmon. Thousands are taken each year from the Betsie River and Betsie Bay. Hunting is popular for deer, small game, turkey, and waterfowl. Best of all, Indian Summer offers an array of gorgeous colors, so bring your camera for some breathtaking pictures. Winter, cross country ski from your front door through acres of beautiful Michigan wilderness. Downhill ski at Crystal Mountain only a few minutes away.

- Pet Friendly: DOGGIE RULES (Mom & Dad…I haven’t learned to read yet so please make sure I follow the rules and keep us both out of trouble) 1. Don’t leave me outside unattended (I may decide to dig up those pretty flowers, water them or make a bed). 2. I’m not allowed on the furniture (unless I’m a lap dog…too bad for you big boys) and I cannot sleep with you in your bed no matter how much you want me to. 3. Do not put me on a tether outside (I don’t like it and I will dig and bark to remind you). 4. Don’t forget to scoop the poop and dispose of properly. 5. If I can’t go with you when you leave the cabin put me in my kennel or I may retaliate and do something bad……………

We are so sad to be going home. What a great week we had. You keep adding more interesting things around the property and we have fount lots of fun things to do in Benzie County. We will be back as soon as time and schedules permit. Thanks again for making the place enchanting.

Thank you for providing a time for my family to build memories that will last our lifetime. We laughed, we cried, we took a stip and fell deeper in love with one another. In a time when life goes by so fast we were able to stop time and breathe and see where we are, where we have come from,l, and where we are going. For this we will always be ever so grateful. Until we meet again. We hiked and found secret places. We tubed the Betsie what an adventure. We found precious stones for keepsakes in the stream. We went to Sleeping Bear Dnes and were reminded of the majesty within this land. We enjoyed nightly bonfires to share, dance & tell stories. Thank you for every comfort of home and over 500 pictures over 3 days.

This was truly a fabulous place. We had a great time here. You really thought of everything, right down to the tiniest detail. The kids loved the Crystal Mtn. pins and I loved the wine. Even the coffee was pre-set. All the little things that really made this place special. Warm and cozy-a truly inviting atmosphere. We love to ski at Crystal so next time we come up we will book this place again. Thank you!
