The estate is located directly on the gorgeous pink sand beach. This is one of the most magnificent beaches in the Bahamas and one rarely sees another person. A short walk down the beach are some great diving reefs so one never has to leave the property, you can even dive for your dinner. There are some lovely restaurants in the area, so if you prefer, make reservations.There are some truly fun and interesting restaurants on the island.
This home has just been refurbished including a totally new professional kitchen. The main house consists of four bedrooms (however there are a total of seven bedrooms and baths on the estate), all with private baths and glass sliding doors overlooking the the glistening sea (two kings, one queen, and one set of twins).
One can lie in bed and watch the cruise ships sail by in the distance or just fall asleep listening to the sounds of the sea. The living/dining room is well appointed with TV/DVD and CD player, dining table, etc. The kitchen has a marvelous, five-burner, gas range with an electric/convection oven, microwave and two dishwashers, a huge refrigerator, and plenty of gadgets.
All rooms on this wonderful property have ceiling fans and air conditioning. Two main terraces, one on the ocean side and one in a sheltered walled garden service the main house, both seat at least 14.The loggia terrace also features an outdoor kitchen consisting of two SS barbecue grills, one gas and one charcoal, and a bar area. Adjoining the main house is a charming room with two single beds and bath.
Just beside the main house is a guest cottage. This colorful house has two single beds in the bedroom plus a kitchen/sitting room and full bath. The sitting room also has a sleeper sofa. The kitchen has a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. A covered front porch and a sun terrace compliment this home. The laundry room is also found in this building.
A short walk from the main house is Kari's Cottage. This cottage is high on a hill overlooking the turquoise waters of the Atlantic. Kari's Cottage is adorable with a king-size bed, full bath, and sitting room with a kitchenette containing stove, microwave, refrigerator, and sink. The front porch is covered for shade lovers and beside it is a sun terrace with seating for dining and chaise lounges for sunbathing.
Nestled in the east lawn between the house and the ocean is the 25-foot by 50-foot freshwater pool. The pool has a built-in seat so one can enjoy a cocktail will relaxing in the cool water. This area is quite secluded and has a lanai with a full wet bar and refrigerator, including dining tables, pool, and beach chairs, umbrellas, and lounges.
About 100 yards down a path is the ocean. It is gorgeous and the beach stretches for miles, and is nearly always totally empty. This area has only large estates along the beach, ensuring maximum privacy. There is also a tiki hut located directly on the beach for those who enjoy a bit of shade.

Eleuthera is an incredible place, the house is most mesmerizing oceanfront place we had ever seen. Capricorn house was more that we expected and we have truly enjoyed a fabulous trip. This is the second visit to Capricorn for our friends and the first for us. We loved the local restaurants and the people were all so welcoming. The bathrooms were a great surprise as they are all clean, new and well done. Great grill for the fish we caught also, professional all the way. So much better that a hotel and actually was cheaper that having to pay hotel and restaurants for each meal. We are hooked on this place. Try the local bakery also!

Our group, 12 adults and two toddlers, had the most splendid week at Capricorn House. The grounds are large enough to accommodate everyone (in separate spaces or together), and the beach is isolated and gorgeous. The house is well appointed and well stocked with books, games, spices, sun tan lotion and bug spray, making it easy to move right in and feel at home. It was a hard place to leave and we're already working on coming back!

It easily hosts a large group with the perfect blend of communal space and privacy. The caretakers and staff discreetly ensured that we were never in want of anything. Walk on the beach, swim in the pool, grill freshly caught fish or lobster on the patio ... Capricorn House is a gorgeous retreat you will treasure
