Our cottage, Sugar Magnolia, is located on the ocean side, in a private family-oriented community only two houses off the beach, and, yes, there are ocean views. The stroll from our driveway to the beach is less than two minutes.
We offer five bedrooms (three kings, two twins) and three baths. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room. The sound of the waves guarantee a good nights sleep.
We have a fully-equipped kitchen with a four-burner JennAire range and oven, and a large, eat-in area. A screened-in porch is located off the kitchen to take advantage of the cool evenings and gorgeous sunsets while enjoying the catch of the day.
You can enjoy two refreshing pools in our community. The first is located on the ocean side and is privately situated among natural vegetation. The second pool is located on the sound side, right at the waters edge. We also offer community tennis courts for those who are looking to improve their game.
There are two staging areas at the beach where you can sit and watch the ocean and meet your neighbors without going on the beach. Sun rises are fabulous! We also have a sound-side gazebo which extends 120 feet out into the sound. You can sit and relax or go crabbing for the evening meal.
If you decide to venture out and explore, there are many attractions and activities to make your vacation memorable. We are just a short distance from the shopping area of Duck Village, where even the most ardent shopper will be challenged, and fantastic restaurants abound.
In the evenings, you must walk to the sound and watch the sunsets. You will see the most gorgeous and colorful sunsets of your life! Then get ready to see the stars light up the evening sky.
