Perfect studio/location/home base to explore Puerto Rico!

My boyfriend and I recently stayed in the studio for a week in April. The accommodations were perfect - the studio was clean, well equipped (bedding, bathroom towels, kitchen supplies), and so comfortable. It has a very large window along one wall facing the ocean across the street, and it was an absolutely gorgeous view. The complex has a nice pool, gym, and Wifi in the lobby. There's a Wallgreens a couple blocks away with a grocery section and a ton of fantastic restaurants nearby. There's also a Charlie's car rental a block away, and we parked in the Marriott garage across the street which was super convenient. We took a bus from near the complex to Old San Juan for 75 cents each way - a must do! We also rented a car to explore El Yunque, Luquillo Beach, Fajardo, Culebra (+ ferry ride), Camuy Caves, and the Arecibo Observatory. All of these locations were an easy drive from the studio. We also relaxed on the beach across the street from the studio which was beautiful and well-kept by the Marriott. Ed was a great landlord and resource for us. He was prompt and dependable with his email responses, which we really appreciated. When we arrived at the studio, the toilet handle was broken. We sent Ed a quick email, and he arranged for it to be fixed ASAP. I highly recommend this studio. I had absolutely no complaints... just a wonderful vacation :)

Ed's condo was better than staying in any of the resort hotels! On the second night of our stay in San Juan, we met some resort guests from a hotel across the street from the condo. They were envious of our view, the amenities we enjoyed, and the great rate we received by staying at the condo! The pool was just glorious -- very quiet and relaxing, the tenants and security guards of the building very friendly, and the location perfect. If I had anything negative to say, it would only be that on the bottom floor of the building there are two bars that seem to like to party very late into the night. So if you are a light sleeper or not a night person, this location is probably not ideal for you. Otherwise, Ed's condo is simply sublime and better than any hotel!

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was in a great location and met our expectations. There was one issue - the air conditioning did not work on the last day. We let property manager know about this problem and she was very helpful.

This condo is located in what I consider to be the most perfect spot in El Condado. When you first arrive you will be impressed with the gorgeous lobby! It is just so beautiful and so secure, I felt safe every minute of the day with around the clock security. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The nightlife is fantastic! No matter what time of the day or night you go out, there are people everywhere! There are restaurants, bars, casinos and the beach at your diposal! The beach is a short block away and the view, the view is just amazing! We stayed 9 nights - which just wasn't enough!!

The property was great, in a perfect location near EVERYTHING. Walk up and down Ashford for anything you'd be looking for, or a quick cab ride to Old San Juan or other parts of the city couldn't be easier. We spent an afternoon at Condado beach which is just across the street which is great or a 15 minute walk to Ocean park beach just to the East which is also very nice... Ed was great to work w/ and answered any emails promptly. We would definitely stay here again if in PR.

Great Condo!

The accommodations were exactly as pictured -- clean and beautiful! It comes equipped with all the stuff you need: comfy bed, lots of towels, iron, hair dryer, kitchen stuff... and the Marriott is right across the street so there is easy access to tourist attractions and guided tours. There is a Walgreens (which we frequented often for forgotten items and snacks) just a block away. Though I was hesitant of renting an apartment from someone I've never met before, I was happy to find out that Ed was really easy to work with and helpful with my questions about the area. Overall a great experience, and I would definitely recommend this condo to others!

Great Studio in the heart of Condado

We absolutely loved the studio and would rent it again. It was neat and clean. The only problems we had was that the buildings water supply was unavailable for one evening while they cleaned the tanks, so we had to shower at my Mom's. The light bulb in the kitchen was blown, but light enters easily flooding the studio once you draw open the curtains. The air conditioner worked very good it kept us comfortable and this is very important being that it was so hot in the Island. My dealings with the owner Ed were superb and smooth, he answered all my questions in a timely manner. We found a local parking spot just down the streets a few blocks for $9.00 a day. I would recommend Orozcos for comida criolla and Yerba Buena for restaurants. The Marriott Hotel is just across the street with live bands nightly and a fine bar. Call Ed today and book your next vacation to Puerto Rico.

San Juan Getaway

This was our first time renting with VRBO and the experience with Ed and this property went very smooth. The condominium was exactly what was presented on the website and was clean and accomodating for our 4 night stay. The best part is the balcony with views out to the city and ocean beyond. We spent many evenings relaxing and listening to the sounds of the city. A definite plus was the pool located behind the building which we also used frequently. I would recommend this place to travellers looking for convenience, cleanliness, good light, great location and comfortable accomodations at a very reasonable price.

A perfect vacation getaway! This condo unit offered stunning views of the oceanfront with extremely easy access to entertainment and dining. There is a cozy well kept private pool,spa,and fitness center. These are only a few of the several extras this unit had to offer. The unit is emaculate and equipped with all of the comforts of my own home. I can't wait to reserve my vacation stay in this same unit next year!

Just stayed for a 2 week holiday and found the accomodations at the Ashford Imperial quite comfortable.Plenty of towels, bed was comfy, good security, spent lots of time by the recently renovated pool which was a good size, and friendly tenants and renters. Plenty of places to eat (tended to stick with the popular American chains as the local ones we tried were not so good along with their prices) and clothing shops around. We managed to get a good deal on secure parking at the Marriot right across the street, $60 for 2 weeks otherwise it's $16/day. Con-loud music set up outside from some of the restaurants playing late at night Fri-Sun and coming out of the passing cars. A grocery store with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, within walking distance.

Great place to stay in a nice modern building. The beach is right across the street. We had tea on the terrace every morning overlooking the beautiful view or the ocean! Very convenient location. We would definitely stay here again.

Looks like the construction across the street is done. Still a good view of the ocean. Condo was as advertised. Very nice place to stay! Condado is a safe neighborhood at just about any time of day but it's nice seeing a guard/doorman at the front door to the building. The Marriott tour desk across the street is very convenient. We had a great vacation and thanks again Ed!

We enjoyed our vacation at your place in San Juan. The apartment was exactly as pictured. The building was in a good location with a good view. I made good use of the pool. Although I did not use the fitness centre, it seemed to be well equipped. The apartment was clean and tidy. Apparently the laundry room was supposed to be getting some new wash machines shortly as there were several that were inoperable at the time of our stay. The weather was just great. I found that during the day we were able to turn the air conditioner off and open the door. Since there was no screen door my husband was not comfortable with leaving the door open so we did make use of the air conditioning at night. We also made use of the public transportation. We found that the buses don't have a set schedule but then this is I believe more the rule than an exception in the islands. My husband found the vacation to be relaxing and he would like to return.

Convenient location near casinos, restaurants, shops, beach and bus route. Condo was clean and comfortable. Had the essentials. We stayed at the apartment for our honeymoon and were very impressed. The location was great (within walking distance of the public beach); the apartment was clean and decorated nicely; and building amenities such as pool and exercise facility were wonderful. With the Marriot hotel right across the street, we were able to register for the same tours as hotel guests and enjoy casino/entertainment but without paying hotel prices. Only negative was some morning noise with construction across the street. Would definitely recommend this to other budget-conscious travelers.

The apartment was perfect for the two of us - nicely decorated, and everything was well maintained, in working order, and clean. The view was fantastic, and the close proximity to the beach was great. The only issue was finding parking for the car, but that's San Juan, not the apartment! Would definitely stay there again. We had a great time here - the apartment is clean, well equipped, comfortable and very conveniently located in the heart of the Condado area, with easy access to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The ocean views from the condo are nice. On the downside, there was construction noise from across the street which we especially noticed in the early morning. Tip: If you are into fitness, there is a brand new gym on the first floor of the building (around the back); building residents get a 50%discount for day passes. Overall comment: highly recommended.

Well worth the price. Condo is very convenient to beach, bus route, shopping and restaurants. The security guards are friendly and helpful. There are also washers and dryers on a lower floor which don't cost much to use. Edward was helpful - don't be shy about calling if you have a problem. we tripped the electric breaker once and wouldn't have known where it was if we hadn't called him. The floors have granite and the bathroom was just refinished.

Located in the chicest section of Condado, with great restaurants nearby, this apartment is very well equipped with everything you'd need. Nice doormen night and day; Jump in the pool around 6 pm when its still hot out- you'll have it to yourself!

My husband and I had a great experience staying in this condo. It has a great view of the ocean, and an awesome terrace to enjoy the fresh ocean breeze and see all the excitment on the main strip in condado (but high enough for peace and quiet). The apartment was perfect, really comfortable and clean, with huge windows that let the sun shine in. The air conditioner cooled the entire place down, which was such treat after baking on the beach all day. We definetly made use of the kitchen, which was an added bonus for those late night munchies and home cooked breakfast. The beach is across the street and probably one of the better beaches in PR. We had a great stay and look forward to staying in this condo again on our next trip to sunny PR.
