This holiday home is set in the lush rolling meadows, dry stone walls and well worn footpaths of Connemara that found their way into John Ford's famous film "The Quiet Man". Fish in Lough Corrib or Play a round of Golf across the road at Oughterard Golf Club, tour at your leisure by bycycle around Joyce's Country and Connemara National Park.
Situated on the Galway Clifden Road, on the left-hand side, 14 miles from Galway City and three km from the town of Oughterard, one mile on the Galway side of the Connemara Gateway Hotel. You can see Oughterard Golf course from the front garden. The house is situated two miles from Lough Corrib which is one of the best salmon and trout lakes in Ireland. It is 20 minutes drive from Galway City and five minutes drive from the town of Oughterard.
This holiday home is on half an acre of ground, with ample parking space. It is a three bedroom house, with sitting room, dining room and kitchen. It has four single beds, one double bed and a baby cot. It is equipped with all mod cons, colour TV, dishwasher, washing machine, and cloths dryer etc.
Local amenities include Fishing, Golf, Pitch and Putt, Bike Hire, the Moycullen Riding Centre, Swimming Pool at the Gateway Hotel (open to the public), seven pubs, five Hotels and a number of local restaurants.
This is an excellent base from which you can explore Connemara and the West. Oughterard Gold Course is across the road for avid golfers. |
