The sleeping set up, with the bamboo canopy King bed on the main level and a queen bed up in the loft, is perfect for a couple, family, or group of friends. The prevailing 15 knot trade-winds and the high powered ceiling fans with remotes keep the unit fresh and comfortable. The private lanai, with lounge chairs, looks out over the jungle to the beautiful Hanalei mountains, which are often draped with waterfalls, a truly mesmerizing view. The location of THE ALOHA LOFT, in the resort community of Princeville on Kauai's spectacular North shore is unbeatable. Walk only a few minutes to beautiful secluded beaches, Queen Emma's Bath, or the newly renovated, luxurious, St. Regis Princeville Resort, expected to be reopened in Oct. 2009, where you can treat yourself to fine dining or the SPA. Jump in the car for a short ride to explore nearby caves, wild beaches, shop/dine in stylish Hanalei, surf Hawaiian waves, zip-line over valleys or swim in waterfalls. Or if you chose, just relax on your private lanai and gaze out at the lush tropical jungle and the waterfall draped mountains in the distance. Aloha!!
Thank you for considering one of our vacation apartments for your trip to KAUAI. I am originally from NJ and moved to Kauai after graduating Colorado College in 1996. Surfing, laid back lifestyle, and the enchanting island itself drew me here. I was able to do extensive traveling, for months/years at a time, since moving here, visiting South East Asia, South Pacific, South America, and Europe. While working on a coral reef research ship in Indonesia, I met Kiko, from Venezuela, and after traveling/ working together and we got married here on Kauai in 2002. We currently live in a house in Princeville, a few minutes from our units, with our two island loving children, Ela, 4, and Luka, 1.
Why the Owner Chose Hale Moi
Back in 2003 we bought this double-unit HALE MOI condominium to live in and remodel, since my husband, Kiko is a carpenter and we saw the great potential of these versatile units. Princeville is the Vacation Destination area of the North Shore, and these units are within walking distance to the beach and the Princeville Hotel. The layout, where each unit can be independent of one another, was very attractive. Hale Moi is a quite complex, which has at least half the 40 units occupied by residents, creating a less transient feel then some of the other condominium complexes in the area. We bought a unit on the top floor with privacy, a great view and much coveted loft space, which only the second floor units have. After the remodel, we started renting the studio, THE ORCHID ROOM AT HALE MOI, as a vacation rental. It was an immediate success. When the opportunity to buy a fixer upper house became available we moved out and soon made the second unit, THE ALOHA LOFT, a vacation rental as well.
The Unique Benefits of this Condominium
This unit's modern, clean tropical feeling is quite unique. Hardwood floors, granite counters, new appliances, and touches of luxury really set this apartment apart from many of the older units available on the North Shore. Since we are travelers ourselves, we really set out to make this the place of our dreams. When you are away from home, you want to have a "home-base" that is clean, comfortable and equipped so that you are ready to explore, relax and rejuvenate as you please. Our units strive to provide these things. When we page through our guest book we see that we have succeeded.
