Located on the waters edge The Bayou Bungalow is a family style lodge for those who want the comfort of home and yet have a hideaway of their own. Decorated with the latest up to date style. With a large living area, very clean lodge you will want to return year after year. The Bayou Bungalow is located on the banks of the Bayou De Chein, a natural bayou that leads to the North East side of the Upper Blue Basin. SMOKE FREE LODGE AND NOW WITH FREE WIRELESS INTERNET SERVICE!!!

After launching your boat at the nearby launch you can then bring your boat up to the Bungalow. From there you will be able to access the lake and fish all species of fish like crappie, bream, catfish, and large mouth bass. Just hop in your boat and take off. Since the Bayou Bungalow is situated next to a national wildlife refuge you'll enjoy all types of wildlife. Those who have stayed at the Bungalow immediately book again for another vist. They say this place is the best vacation rental on Reelfoot Lake. If you will be arriving late and planning to fish or hunt ask for my help in obtaining your fishing license & lake permit. Or plan ahead to obtain your license via the internet. Just type in Tennessee fishing license in your search and you will find the link. We just want to be sure you can take full advantage of your precious time off.

Next door to the lodge is the largest Purple Martin Colony in Walnut Log. With 44 nesting pair you will find watching this beautiful bird very breathtaking. The martin season starts late February and ends usually around mid to late June or early July. Now is the time to plan your vacation. PRIME CRAPPIE SEASON STARTS IN OCTOBER - MAY!!! MAKE PLANS NOW TO BE SURE AND STOCK THE FREEZER FOR THE WINTER. AND DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE FAMILY FISH FRYS!!!

  • What a beautiful find nestled on the bayou of Reelfoot Lake! We are seasoned travelers and can only say the Bayou Bungalow is a "jewel in the forest". The only thing nicer than feeling like you are at home, is getting to know the owners Bob and Carole. We cannot say enough about the Bungalow or Bob and Carole. Our testament to this wonderful "home away from home" is that we've been back three times in the last four months. This time will be the hardest to leave as we have grown so fondly of Bob and Carole and our "second" home. You have been lucky enough to find yourself a winner all the way around with the Bayou Bungalow! We'll miss you Bob & Carole.... until we meet again.

  • Whether it's fishing, duck hunting, bird watching or just relaxing next tot he lake, the Bayou Bungalow should DEFINITELY be anyone's #1 choice. Folks, this is a home, not a hotel room! And, you might just talk ole Bob & Carol into grilling some of his great "drunk chicken" or "ribs" that can't be beat. Finest people you will ever meet at the most reasonable and nicest place to stay on Reelfoot Lake. AND, if you request, Bob & carol can hook you up with one of the best fishing guides on Reelfoot Lake. As a professional guide at Reelfoot Lake I always highly recommend The Bayou Bungalow to my customers. They always thank me for sending them to Bob & Carol.   • We stayed to visit family in the area. It was a nice cozy place to stay. We enjoy renting from VRBO owners as we are also in Michigan. Much better than the motel/hotel scene. Thanks again Bob and Carole, you have a very nice place down on the Bayou Dechein
