Located on the waters edge The Bayou Bungalow is a family style lodge for those who want the comfort of home and yet have a hideaway of their own. Decorated with the latest up to date style. With a large living area, very clean lodge you will want to return year after year. The Bayou Bungalow is located on the banks of the Bayou De Chein, a natural bayou that leads to the North East side of the Upper Blue Basin. After launching your boat at the nearby launch you can then bring your boat up to the Bungalow. From there you will be able to access the lake and fish all species of fish like crappie, bream, catfish, and large mouth bass. Just hop in your boat and take off. Since the Bayou Bungalow is situated next to a national wildlife refuge you'll enjoy all types of wildlife. Those who have stayed at the Bungalow immediately book again for another vist. They say this place is the best vacation rental on Reelfoot Lake. If you will be arriving late and planning to fish or hunt ask for my help in obtaining your fishing license & lake permit. Or plan ahead to obtain your license via the internet. Just type in Tennessee fishing license in your search and you will find the link. We just want to be sure you can take full advantage of your precious time off.
Next door to the lodge is the largest Purple Martin Colony in Walnut Log. With 52 nesting pair you will find watching this beautiful bird very breathtaking. The martin season starts late February and ends usually around mid to late June or early July. Now is the time to plan your vacation.
To book the bungalow you will be required to paid 1/3 down if your rental is more than a month out. 1/3 due at time of booking, 2nd payment due 30 days prior to arrival, last payment due 15 days prior to check in.

We found the Bungalow spotless when we arrived. Easy to get to, good parking, in less than 5mins the owner was there to help with directions,info,fishing advice,etc. Made us first timers,feel like long time renters. Will stay again,& again,& again. G & V

An ideal location for someone who has a boat and wants to fish, if the weather cooperates. The bungalow was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you could ask for.

When I left here in 2005 I knew I had to come back one day. What I didn't know is that it would be even better than before. This time I got to go out on the fabulous Reelfoot Lake to see the wildlife and learn about the history. Getting to feed Catfish off the deck in our yard was a real treat.The bungalow is even better now and we got to wash out our clothes in the BRAND NEW Washer and Dryer. Watching Neato ( the new robotic vacuum cleaner) was even more entertaining than watching old movies on the Big new Flat Screen TV. Bob and Carole looked after us like we were Royalty! Jane and I rate this place 11 out of 10!!

Just returned from 6 days at Bayou Bungalow and enjoyed everything about the place. Carole and Bob have done a great job with the house to ensure all ammenties are included. We have stayed at several other places during our 7 years going to Reelfoot and by far Bayou Bungalow is the best. Carole thanks for your hospitality! The DeHart boys and Dad!

The bungalow was just what my husband and I was looking for to help us escape from Memphis. Yet, we got more than we expected. This place is lovely and the owners treat you like royalty (even the dogs of the neighborhood welcome you). I will definitely be back.

My buddies and I went up for a 3 day deer hunt and decided to book the Bungalow. Carole was very receptive and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. I'll have to say that this place was immaculate. We will definitely book it again!!!

This is the best kept secrete in Tennessee! If you are thinking about a vacation or get-away weekend, you must consider the Bayou Bungalow. This is the closest thing to home you will ever find.
