Amazing from the home and both carole and bob. Very relaxing and comfy. The dock is awesome with the catfish you can feed. It was safe and quiet. We are already planning our next stay.

The Bungalow was rented for my husband and I by my Mother as a Christmas gift. This is definetly a hidden gem and she couldn't have picked a better place. The Bungalow is so relaxing and has every amenity you would ever need. Our friends joined us for our stay and the guys really enjoyed the big screen watching the NCAA tournament. We also enjoyed crappie fishing during our stay. Carole helped us in recommending a great guide. Thanks again Bob and Carole for sharing this awesome getaway. This was our first trip but I am sure it's not the last.

My husband and I decided to stay again at the bungalow for my birthday. It had the same relaxing atmosphere, beautiful setting, and wonderful hostess/host. To our delight there were a few new additions added to the bungalow. The gas fireplace is a treasure and makes the bungalow have a more romantic setting. There was new furniture that brought so much comfort that I had to beg my husband to get off the sofa. I liked all of the additions because it shows how much Carole & Bob are constantly thinking about the comfort of their guests. I could say so much more about the bungalow but that would take a whole book. I simply love this place and the owners of it. They make you feel special and we will definitely be back for more than one trip a year. It has become our home away from home. Thanks Carole and Bob.

STRESSED OUT GIRLS NEEDED A BREAK !!

Our need of a break led us to the Bayou Bungalow on the beautiful Bayou de Chein located on Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee. Here we were greeted with sincere southern hospitality at its finest. We enjoyed a night of peaceful relaxation, catching up on old times, and visiting with Bob & Carol. First off we were impressed at how clean and well maintained the Bungalow was and all the comforts of home were included without the everyday stress. It felt good to relax with no worries. The wildfowl was spectacular and we enjoyed driving along the backroads taking numerous photos of the areas wildlife including Bald Eagles. The Bungalow will accomodate 8 comfortably so next trip we plan to invite other friends and relatives to enjoy this serene hide away so they to can experience a stress free, quiet, fun weekend.

This was by far the greatest weekend getaway we ever experienced !! This Bayou Bungalow truly is "Just Like Home." The Bungalow is so clean and spacious. I so want to keep it a secret but everyone deserves a relaxing get away :) Our agenda was rest, relax, eat some good food and we did just that while enjoying a couples retreat weekend on Reelfoot Lake. There was so much space and everyone was so comfortable. We were all able to join around the kitchen area while preparing meals. The outdoor space was awesome and allowed us to have a big fish fry under the shaded awning area. We spent the evening hours out on the side patio talking and yes, relaxing a little more. Added perks was our own ice machine, a washer and dryer (WOW I couldn't believe it !!), a big screen TV, a corner fire place that I so wish I had at my house, plenty of sleeping and sitting areas, and 2 full baths. We visited the nearby towns of Reelfoot (make sure you try Boyettes Restaurant) and Union City (girls gotta go to Wal-Mart and Oh check out their huge Harley-Davidson store). There are piers on the lake to walk out on and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and hiking is available as well. Bob and Carol are great hosts, tentative in every aspect. We know all good things must come to an end but its a great feeling to know we can go to the Bayou Bungalow and feel "Just Like Home"

Simply The Best

When I left here in 2005 I knew I had to come back one day. What I didn't know is that it would be even better than before. This time I got to go out on the fabulous Reelfoot Lake to see the wildlife and learn about the history. Getting to feed Catfish off the deck in our yard was a real treat.The bungalow is even better now and we got to wash out our clothes in the BRAND NEW Washer and Dryer. Watching Neato ( the new robotic vacuum cleaner) was even more entertaining than watching old movies on the Big new Flat Screen TV. Bob and Carole looked after us like we were Royalty! Jane and I rate this place 11 out of 10!!

23rd anniversary

Bob and Carole were excellent hostesses. We were surprised to find a remanufactured home in a small community, even though I should have recognized the home type by the pictures. We thought it would be a secluded area for us on our anniversary. The place was clean and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We rarely saw anyone. This place is excellent for fisherman and water lovers with a nice place out side in the back where we barbequed on the open pit style grill. There are a few delivery places but my T-mobile could not get a signal at any time until I was far away from there. Most businesses are about 15 miles away

We found the Bungalow spotless when we arrived. Easy to get to, good parking, in less than 5mins the owner was there to help with directions,info,fishing advice,etc. Made us first timers,feel like long time renters. Will stay again,& again,& again. G & V

An ideal location for someone who has a boat and wants to fish, if the weather cooperates. The bungalow was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you could ask for.

Just returned from 6 days at Bayou Bungalow and enjoyed everything about the place. Carole and Bob have done a great job with the house to ensure all ammenties are included. We have stayed at several other places during our 7 years going to Reelfoot and by far Bayou Bungalow is the best. Carole thanks for your hospitality! The DeHart boys and Dad!

The bungalow was just what my husband and I was looking for to help us escape from Memphis. Yet, we got more than we expected. This place is lovely and the owners treat you like royalty (even the dogs of the neighborhood welcome you). I will definitely be back.

What a beautiful find nestled on the bayou of Reelfoot Lake! We are seasoned travelers and can only say the Bayou Bungalow is a "jewel in the forest". The only thing nicer than feeling like you are at home, is getting to know the owners Bob and Carole. We cannot say enough about the Bungalow or Bob and Carole. Our testament to this wonderful "home away from home" is that we've been back three times in the last four months. This time will be the hardest to leave as we have grown so fondly of Bob and Carole and our "second" home. You have been lucky enough to find yourself a winner all the way around with the Bayou Bungalow! We'll miss you Bob & Carole.... until we meet again.

Whether it's fishing, duck hunting, bird watching or just relaxing next tot he lake, the Bayou Bungalow should DEFINITELY be anyone's #1 choice. Folks, this is a home, not a hotel room! And, you might just talk ole Bob & Carol into grilling some of his great "drunk chicken" or "ribs" that can't be beat. Finest people you will ever meet at the most reasonable and nicest place to stay on Reelfoot Lake. AND, if you request, Bob & carol can hook you up with one of the best fishing guides on Reelfoot Lake. As a professional guide at Reelfoot Lake I always highly recommend The Bayou Bungalow to my customers. They always thank me for sending them to Bob & Carol. Thanks Bob & Carol for the fun, food and great place to visit.

We stayed to visit family in the area. It was a nice cozy place to stay. We enjoy renting from VRBO owners as we are also in Michigan. Much better than the motel/hotel scene. Thanks again Bob and Carole, you have a very nice place down on the Bayou Dechein

Lucky me, I've found a perfect place and it's only a short drive from my home, so I can make more trips. We stayed 8 nights 1st time. The Bayou Bungalow is a great place to get away from the rest of the world. The access to Reelfoot lake is very convenient. The owners, who live next door are very cool and can cook a mean shoulder. I would recommend visiting the Bungalow during early spring for prime crappie fishing, and during the fall and winter for some awesome duck hunting.

We have had several nights at the Bayou DeChein, and have enjoyed the fishing, the atmosphere, the Purple Martins, the good company and the all-around comforts of seeming like we were in our own Back Yard and then some!!!

This a great getaway place,very quit, peaceful and the owners are really nice. And if you like purple martins this is the time to visit. Can't really say everything that is great about this place, just need to see it to see how great it is!!!
