Beautiful modern apartment in wonderful location, with spectacular views of the valley and famous Staubbach falls which are floodlit at night.The bedrooms and kitchen have waterfall view, the living/dining area have valley view. The apartment is on the ground floor with French doors leading on to private terrace and garden, with stream running alongside and next to open meadow.
The apartment has been finished to a very high standard,including luxury kitchen with granite worktops and stainless steel appliances throughout. Luxury bathroom includes bath, shower and twin sinks. Tiled throughout with underfloor heating. Private garage. It is only 100 meters from cross-country skiing and hiking trail. On the edge of the village, a lovely walk along the trail takes you to village centre, or up to Trummelbach falls (ten in total and inside the mountain!). Further up the trail you will come to the cable car to Schiltorn/Murren and famous Gimmelwald.The bus stop outside takes you to Lauterbrunnen station in five minutes or Schiltornbahn in seven minutes to access whole of the Jungfrau skiing and hiking area.
Lauterbrunnen is situated in the impressive glaciated valley with the beautiful mountain ranges of Jungfrau, Shilthorn, and Breithorn on its doorstep. It is the departing point to the famous car-free resorts of Wengen and Murren, as well as the Jungfraujoch-Top of Europe (the highest train station in Europe) and the Schiltorn/Piz Gloria (made famous by James Bond). Good road links to French motorway network make for a comfortable 9 hour drive from Calais or Zeebrugge. The village is an easy 8 mile drive from Interlaken or 20 minutes on the train. Rail links from Geneva, Zurich, and Basel are excellent - less than three hours, or one hour transfer from Bern. Eurostar via Paris to Basel then via Interlaken is a quick and easy option.
The apartment is British-owned, and cared for locally by a lovely British lady who has lived there for 20 years. She will welcome you and can offer lots of local information. She also offers wonderful meals delivered direct to the apartment, payable locally. A perfect base to explore the Jungfrau region, year round.

Thankyou Dr.Jon for your very kind words.I would just like to point out that it is the Breithorn peak which you see from the apartment, although the Jungfrau, Moench and Eiger are very close by.I wouldnt want anyone to be disappointed!I'm sure all those positive ions coming off the waterfallls add to the feeling of wellbeing. Hi Jenny, We had a most fantastic week. Every day was an adventure and I was glad to hear from the youngsters and my husband that the whole holidays were far above their expectations. Moreover because so many of our friends had been saying 'what are you going to do there if not skiing?' We walked quite a bit, cycled, paraglided...enjoyed and wowed the scenery...and as for the weather...well if I had to order it myself it would never have been so good. Your apartment is lovely and extremely well equipped not least the washing machine and dryer so we could wash and dry our sweaty, dirty clothes. The Bond movie was able to put straight the story we managed to connote after we went up the Shilthorn. As for improvements, I can only think of one namely, a better light in the sitting area to make reading more enjoyable. As for the cheque, please desroy. The 6 day train passwas a wise investmment allowing us to get around without having to use the car.The children counted that we had notched up 35 different train/cable car trips!!
