Enjoy sitting in your rocking chair on the front porch with a view of the barn and secluded open field surrounded by 200 foot large oak, pine, and magnolia trees. There is plenty of room for the kids to play baseball, soccer, football, or a game of horse shoes. The front porch is best for enjoying the large hawks and sunsets. The back porch is eight feet from a natural spring creek which is usually shallow clear flowing water that provides a splashing good time for the kids or enjoyable cool water sounds for adults without children. The evening brings out a variety of wildlife including lightening bugs, owls, racoon, deer and much more.
The interior has a large den with fireplace, beautiful wood walls through-out, and is furnished with heavy Texas Pine kitchen table seats(six) and (three) stools for breakfast bar. Two large comfy leather couches and cowhide armoire with satellite TV/VCR.Master bedroom has Texas Star pine queen bed and second bedroom has twin beds. There are two futon mattresses in the closet for guests. The two leather couches provide a comfortable nights rest.
After your rested take a five mile drive to Double lake for canoeing, fishing or paddle boats or (seven miles) to historic Cold Spring for antiqueing, museums, and enjoy home-cooking at Elaine's Cafe. Lake Livingston (eight miles) provides boating or golf at the beautiful Cape Royal. My prediction is once you arrive at River Creek Ranch you won't want to leave. Enjoy! |
