COMMENTS FROM OUR GUESTS
'Your little red cottage is both sweet and charming. Thank you for this relaxing respite where we made some happy memories. Favorite moments included marveling at the early morning sun working magic on dewdrops and living on the screened porch. A light rain and a good book on that porch is heaven! (And oh yes, the hot tub is paradise too!)' ---The Fields Family, Atlanta, GA
'Thanks for a wonderful mountain retreat! What a treat! Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway and OHH the waterfalls! We enjoyed the hot tub, the porch, and the rain was perfect! The cabin is perfect. We love the ivy over the windows as well as the 1/2 door. So many beauties we don't have in Texas. We will definitely be back for fall!' ---The Taylors, Pearland, TX
'What an adorable place you have here! We were only here a short time on the way to Hilton Head, but we really enjoyed it. The decor is lovely. And, of course, we all enjoyed the hot tub! Wish we could have stayed a little longer.' ---The Grievenkamp Family, Cincinnati, OH
'Great home with lots of charm! We had a very relaxing and fun time. Sitting in the hot tub with some vino was a great time as well! We wish you the best of luck!' ---The Hepler Family, Warsaw, IN
'What a wonderful cottage! We had a great but mostly relaxing time. The hot tub was perfect! It rained the first two nights which made sitting on the porch wonderful. The girls loved all of the beautiful sites of this area, especially the waterfalls! Thank you for sharing your cottage with us.' ---The Brooks Family
'We really enjoyed everything about our little mountain trip getaway. Best part was that we had this cute, fun little cottage to come back to. We didn't even turn on the TV. The Biltmore wine we got, suited the mood perfectly once we returned back here. Thanks for such a great place to stay and making it as easy and relaxing as it needed to be.'
'Thank you so much for the Charming Ivy Cottage! We found it very comfortable. My favorite spot (other than the hot tub) was seated by the window, admiring the flowering azaleas and dogwoods. Even the morning rain was beautiful.'
I'm not even sure of the date... that's how good our experience here at the Ivy Cottage was. This was such a safe cottage for our young children. The best home-away-from home we could have asked for.'

Beautiful cottage and unique one-of-a-kind decor that we found simply delightful. The fireplace is amazing and the setting is spectacular. Super clean! Dealing with the Owner is a pleasure! This is the perfect place to get away from it all yet only be a few minutes to town. Main Street shopping is fun and restaurants are plentiful, although we cooked a number of meals at the cottage and found everything we needed. You'll be glad you chose this cottage and we'll be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My husband and I stayed at the Ivy alone for the first night for our anniversary and our seven children joined us the second night. It was so lovely and private for our time together and had plenty of games or exploring to keep the children happy when they arrived. Thanks Sandy, Barbara, Dwight and Joe for making our experience at the Ivy so nice. We really appreciated the special touches like fresh flowers, coffee, and muffins for our anniversary.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The Ivy was a great get-away cottage! I loved how spotless and comfortable it was. The most difficult decision was to sit by the fireplace and chat with a friend or to relax on the porch and listen to the falling rain. I was there for on overnight stay with gal-pals, and the Ivy cottage was an excellent destination. Thanks!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We fell in love with the Ivy Cottage! It was private and very charming. The decor was very well done and reminded us of something off HGTV! The king bed was turned down when we arrived and the sheets were supreme! We slept in everyday. Well done and highly recommended to all.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Website is very misleading. Inadequate heat, cold night. Had a beautiful wood burning fireplace but failed to tell us that we needed to bring our own firewood. Hot tub did not work. Hot water ran out half way through my bath. We had called the owner the night before to discuss the bad reviews on tripadvisor and she had reassured us all was well. A well need get away turned into a cold, very expensive, disappointing evening. Booked for two nights, owner was kind enough to refund second night.Owner response: We take great pride in our cottage and do everything possible to make sure our guests are happy. Our website states that guests need to bring their own firewood. When we found out guest had not brought any, we took them some for free. They decided to leave early and we refunded the second night. It was unseasonably cold that weekend throughout the Southeast. Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather. We love our guests and it shows. Please see other reviews.

Highly recommend to anyone! We were plesantly surprised at how much we immediately felt at home. I couldn't have thought of one thing to make this cottage more comfortable. We arrived to celtic music playing, a nice touch for us old Irish people and we loved the mints on the pillows. I wish we could have stayed longer. I'm sure we will be back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We had such a wonderful time here. We went to Chimney Rock, drove the Blue Ridge Parkway, visited and shopped Asheville, Greenville and downtown Hendersonville. We also went whitewater rafting. That was fun! We have enjoyed the hot tub many a nights and even in the day and the fireplace provided a romantic feel. Hope we can come back real soon!
