It was our family and another that shared the wknd here, It was awesome!!! We live very busy lives so to do nothing was great. It stormed one night, but the it was relaxing to here the ocean waves as wa layed in bed. We loved having 1 tv in the home we didn't watch it. We hooked the IPOD, baked cookies, played board games, walked down to the beach and bbq'd. It was so nice. The kids loved the basketball hoop. There is so much I could say that we loved about your home. Thank you so much it was the perfect away and setup for families. We are planning a girls get away for your home. thanks taniya

This house is clean and well stocked, comfortable for multiple family groups. We have stayed many times over the years and have lots of great memories here. It doesn't have a lot of high-tech diversions-the tv is downstairs, which keeps the house quiet in the main areas. Great space for the kids and separate gathering areas for adults. The loft is cute and cozy, perfect for games or a book.

It couldn't have been more perfect - large family together in this lovely place. It wasn't until day 6 that it was discovered there was cable - we all learned to enjoy talking and playing games. We couldn't have had a better week. Thank you.

Thank you so much for offering your house. The little boys LOVED their first experience in the bunkbed. We had a beautiful day frolicking on the beach. The house is well equipped for a family and what a quaint little town to wander around.

Decent house and location with good layout for families to enjoy time away at the beach, but could be better maintained. First floor shower/faucet handle was broken off so we had to use a wrench to turn shower on/off for the first couple of days until plumber repaired (one would think the cleaning service would have noticed and had repaired). Pop-a-shot basketball game's basket was also broken off which greatly disappointed our sons (we ultimately duct-taped it in place which sufficed...sort of). BBQ grill was nasty and spent a good 20 minutes cleaning so that we could grill without any health concerns. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay overall and would consider again if better maintained.

How do we thank you enough for opening this wonderful home to us to have our family get together. Your home is wonderfully warm & welcoming. We all felt as if we were at home here. It was wonderful –bed amazing –everything we needed was provided. We had great weather and even an amazing rain and wind storm one night -- couldn’t ask for more. The beach is beautiful, peaceful! WOW! What a great house for a wonderful multi-family getaway just before the start of school. We had such a great time “beachin’ “ it, playing games, and just hanging out! This place was so comfortable and perfect for our last summer hurrah. All our kids are sad for having to leave and so are we. Unfortunately we now have pressure to build our own game room, complete with everything here! The “firepit of truth” made the evenings so enjoyable. If only there was a paved path to the beach to make taking the heavy coolers much easier! All the amenities from kitchen to bathrooms, from laundry to game, are something we appreciated more than you know. Thank you for allowing our families to create memories of a life time in your wonderful “Spyglass Retreat”.

Thank you for opening your lovely beach retreat to us! We enjoyed the homey comfort that lends itself to all sorts of activities and visiting. We appreciate all the thoughtful touches you provide. The layout of the home lends itself to several separate conversation groups, which was fortunate for this talkative family. Our 60th anniversary was as successful as our 50th. Puzzle time, checkers, books, many good meals, walks on the beach, etc. As we entertain many friends at our lake cabin, we were so impressed at all the amenities offered at the Spyglass Retreat. We had a relaxing retreat at this lovely beach house. Dinner at the Blue Sky Café – highly recommended. Beautiful walks by the ocean timed in between the rain squalls. My husband went off to fish the North Fork of the Nehalem. I’m loving the quiet oasis of the “book landing” – a writer’s haven. Thanks so much.

What a beautiful home! I love the layout and especially the game room downstairs. I played darts and basketball a lot. We listened to music upstairs as someone cooked dinner. But the most fun we had was playing “Battle of the Sexes” and “Times to Remember” as a family during and after dinner. We also watched Sea Biscuit” on the DVD one night. We had a blast playing games. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for opening you home. A great relaxing family time together.
