Sunriver at its best!!! Walk through the front door of this exceptional new air-conditioned lodge home and you will be greeted by Chief Ponderosa and a gallery of Indian chiefs who will guide you up the hand-hewn timber staircase. The soaring ceilings, tall lodgepole timbers, and open floor plan of this luxury 3200 square foot Sunriver vacation home will delight and accommodate the needs of up to 17 guests. The oversized deluxe kitchen features brand new commercial stainless appliances, two dishwashers, two sinks, three prep areas, a large walk through pantry, granite counters, knotty pine custom cabinetry, and an excellent assortment of kitchen gadgets and amenities to keep the best of cooks happy. Open to the kitchen and great room is a spacious dining room which features tall cathedral windows framing wonderful views of the high desert terrain. The very large dining table seats 12 and 5 additional guests may step up to the hand-hewn lodgepole eating bar. Beautiful hardwood floors are throughout the main living area. The great room features 30 foot ceilings, a river rock gas fireplace, all new leather and lodge-style furnishings, as well as original artwork which reflects the Oregon high desert. The Ponderosa Lodge is unique in that its surround sound system is state of the art with many extra speakers as well as two sub-woofers, one underfloor, which makes the room 'rock' with action movies.
The five bedrooms with four masters (3 king and 3 on the main floor)and a fifth upstairs bedroom adjoining the family room (6th sleeping area) provide quiet and luxurious sleeping quarters for up to 17 guests. The large bedrooms, each with cathedral ceilings, walk-in closets, ensuite tile baths, deluxe beds, and air-conditioning throughout insure restful nights following fun-filled Sunriver days. TV/DVD's, luxury linens, sound system speakers, a 2nd river rock gas fireplace, sliders onto the deck & exterior hot-tub, a soaker tub, libraries of books, games and DVD's are some of the extras to be discovered in the bedroom wings of this wonderful lodge. The excellent floorplan offers lots of light and good separation of the sleeping areas. The large laundry room just off the garage has lots of storage for guests' extra gear and supplies brought from home.
The very large deck wraps around the Ponderosa Lodge on three sides and features a covered area for grilling in case of inclement weather, a dining area with double sets of outdoor furniture, a separate area for sunning with 3 chaises and finally, the large hot-tub tucked under towering Ponderosas and the spectacular central Oregon night skies. The sound system includes outdoor speakers. The close proximity to the Deschutes National Forest ensures that lots of wildlife including deer with newborn fawn, raccoons, squirrel and an occasional coyote travel through the large common area behind the home.
Fun! We haven't forgotten that you travel to Sunriver for all of the many resort activities offered from sun-up to sun-down. Our quiet cul-de-sac location with its oversized flat lot offers a basketball hoop, ping-pong, foosball, ten bikes, and a three to four minute bike ride to the Woodlands pool and courts, and a 5 minute drive by car to the Sunriver mall. FREE POOL/TENNIS passes provide unlimited usage at no additional cost. In case we've forgotten a thing...we have a 'friend/handyman' in Sunriver who is onsite to help with your needs. Your beautiful home was the site for our second annual 'Camp Notske'. We even had a Christmas in August celebration since we can't be together during the holidays - your cute little trees came in very handy. We all appreciated the high quality of the beds, appliances, and attractive furnishings. We also made good use of the basketball area, ping-pong, foosball, and excellent sound system---hot tub too! You have thought of everything! We had a great time!

You house is fantastic! And I was in your hot-tub every single night (almost). The day we arrived there was a deer just laying in the backyard. Then later around dinner time another deer came around the back. Every single night I saw the sunset. It was amazing! I wish that we could have stayed longer, but everything has to end. I hope to see this house again soon! Your neighbors are so inviting. The pools were fantastic. I came into this trip thinking it was going to be bad because it was Oregon. BUT MAN WAS I WRONG. What can we say? One of the best family vacations ever. The house was perfect! EVerything was such quality. We appreciated that! The beds were so comfy! We loved the basketball, biking, and other games. A few sore muscles, but a good sore! We really enjoyed the quiet street! Some of our basketball times may have had the neighbors wishing for their quiet streets! Oh-the hot-tub was great! May the Lord bless you! Thanks again.
