Just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed staying at your condo. We had a great time…property manager was very accommodating. We love the set up, and the big lanai with the big view. The bed is comfy, and the kitchen is well stocked. We really appreciated the little things like aluminum foil, salt and pepper, sandwich bags, spices, etc. We also appreciate the beach chairs, the cooler, and the other local trinkets like the boogie board. And, a really big plus, is the great barbeque grill setup. We used it almost every night. And it was a lot of fun cooking with others. Everyone here is really nice.

My wife and I made our first trip to Kihei and we were very pleased. This unit was very nice and it took care of all our needs. The king bed was great to sleep in. And the location was also very good. It was only a 5 min. drive to all the great beaches and shops in the Kihei area. The pool and bbq area is a great thing. we would strongly recommend this vacation spot to anyone who wants a great deal. The staff on site were also very nice to deal with. Thanks' again for a great time and I am sure we will be back soon.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Thank you so much for working with me so my family could enjoy a terrific Maui vacation. It was just what the doctor ordered. Your condo provided everything we expected from the pictures online, and more! The folks at 5-Star were very helpful, too. They got us a great deal on a car rental at Alamo. The manager there offered us an upgrade that was impossible to resist, so my car-happy son was thrilled to drive all over Maui in style. We're sorry to have to leave Maui. Your condo was a perfect fit for us. We can't wait to come back, but might have to bring the whole family next time. We enjoyed the tips and food, activity ideas. Didn't have time for everything. Thanks again for making your home available to us.

Dave and I had an awesome time staying in your condo..we had just fantastic weather which was great as in Kauai we experienced a bit of rain so seeing the sun everyday in Maui was great... You have a very nice condo and you have a great location to sit on the lanai and watch the sunset..it was spectacular and we also enjoyed going to the bbq area to bbq at supper...we met lots of Canadians including a couple from Winnipeg...I couldn't believe it. Take care and thanks again..we loved Maui...

I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed staying in your condo. This is about the 5th time we've stayed in various units at Kauhale Makai, and yours in one of the very best. Being on the top floor was great with fantastic views in all directions. We especially enjoyed the comfort of the king pillow-top mattress and high quality bedding and towels you supplied. Not all condos are up to that standard. Having a fast internet connection was also very nice and greatly appreciated. We come to Hawaii for two weeks every February, and almost always come to Maui for the second week. We would love to stay in your place again on our next trip to Maui, if it's available. We have arrived at your lovely apartment and are enjoying the sun and warmth. The apartment is nice and spacious and well-equipped. Everything was fine…Our last day tomorrow in your nice apartment. This was a very nicely laid out and equipped condo, on the top floor so that we could see both the sunrise from behind Mount Haleakala and the sunset directly into the Pacific Ocean from our lanai. The location was excellent for good nearby restaurants and snorkeling sites, and centrally located for reaching Lahaina for a little tourist activity. Our visit to the condo was exquisite! What a fantastic location and we can’t wait for another visit.

Great views, loved the pool and grounds, and love the proximity to restaurants, great beaches and long walks on the beach. Everything we needed for a wonderful week was at our fingertips. I would definitely recommend this for your next vacation, and the owners are great. The location makes it good for airport, Haleakala, Hana, Paia, golf, snorkeling, and restaurants in the more laidback end of the island. "

Hi Cheryl, We finally had to leave beautiful Maui and return to the wind and rain of Seattle. My husband and I had such a great time and will definitely go back because there was a few sites and beaches we didn't see. Your condo was great and the tennis courts was a huge bonus for us. My husband's favorite item was your blue cooler, we took that everywhere we went. It was just as important as sunscreen and beach towels when we headed out. Your place was in the perfect location to Kihei and getting around the island. Tina Clark

Hello Cheryl, All is great! We are loving your place. Mom has already been talking about not wanting to leave. The people on the island are very kind even though they are dealing with tourists all the time. This is the longest I have gone with out getting my heart rate over 60 in years! Thank you so much. My running shoes have not been unpacked...and will stay that way. Saw the bamboo forest and banyon tree - pretty much the coolest thing for me to ever see. Thanks again. We leave late tomorrow night. Just wanted to let you know that we checked in and LOVE your condo! Great views, nice "digs" in the unit including lots of toys - WOW! Sitting here on the lanai watching the very end of the sunset where the sky is almost purple. Yesterday we drove down to Hana and stayed overnight and then drove back via the Haleakala road -glad that we did that; it's wasn't as bad as we had anticipated. Fabulous hiking around the Black Sands beach. We've seen lots and lots and lots of whales - really neat! 9:30 and about 70 degrees here - heavenly!

Great condo! Appreciate how quiet unit is, cleanliness of unit and bldgs. Rate Excellent for: Cleanliness of unit, towels linens and supplies, utensils, appliances, doors windows screens, furniture lamps carpet, pool area, messages, problems and emergencies, registration/lobby staff, visitor info. No negative comments about anything.

I loved my 2 weeks on Maui for my honeymoon, I found that what everyone told me about Maui being the best Hawaiian island for honeymooners, to be so true...the Condo is everything you could possibly want: view, comfortable, beautiful, has everything we needed, loved the free breakfast that they offer the first couple days cause they give you alot of info on where to go and what fun things there are.

Hello there Cheryl, your condo was great, as i remembered from 2 years ago. Love the painting on the bathroom floor and the other upgrades you did. Cheryl Cheryl Cheryl...I can't thank you enough for allowing Dave and I to stay at your Condo in Maui. I'm always anticipating what I'll find on the other side of the door when we arrive. We opened up the door (12:30 night) absolutely exhausted, and my mouth dropped. "Oh my gosh, this is where we're staying for 2 wks!!! Gorgeous green color on the walls, love the crown molding, laminate kitchen floor - woohoo, the carpets look practically brand new, nice big bed, really open-up floor plan, just loads and loads of space. In the morning, even before i put the coffee on i stood on the lanai and laughed - "this is what we get to stare at". You guys have a really nice comfy/soothing little home here. Get this...a realtor was selling the condo right next door to yours, course I had to have a peek - it was pretty drabby, seemed way smaller, and the bedroom was a closed off room - no open archway to the living room. Does that ever make a difference. I'm not sure what the guy thought of me when I started choking after he told me he wanted $389,000 for it. Believe me, your unit is gorgeous. Sure loved your big comfy recliner, slept like a baby. You've got all the right stuff in the kitchen cupboards that we needed. We borrowed two of the lawn chairs on the lanai. We left our big beach umbrella and a floating noodle there for the next lucky dogs. This was probably the most "relaxing" vacation in Hawaii Dave and I ever had, and this was our 5th time there. The ladies at the front desk were very kind and helpful. So thank you both for letting us stay at your place, and I will give you a call next time we are coming to Maui. If I know of anyone who is planning a trip to Maui they will definitely be directed to your VRBO. Bless you both and thank you

Hi, Big surf, two really big storms, and we had a great time! , I painted an acrylic looking up into a palm that resides on your neighbors property. I got the inspiration from spending so much time watching the birds in the palm tree that graces your deck. We have really enjoyed your place, the view and find the staff really attentive and friendly, so we would like to book another vacation next year, around the 20th of January. I haven't looked at your VRBO sight yet, but thought I would let you know right this instant. Thanks for a really nice time. Thanks again

I liked - The layout and the furnishings, comfortable and air conditioned for the few times it was needed; customer service - very good, very helpful and polite and when I would call, they were always upbeat and wanted me to be happy.
