Thanks so much Horace for making our stay in Albuquerque Awesome! There were a few "hiccups" but that is sometimes out of anyone's control as it was on this trip. When the hot tub broke down ( by no fault on your part) before we came you called right away, said we could cancel and apologized and compensated us by lowering our rental rate and even offering for us to use your own personal hot tub from your home, which was very sweet by the way. And when there was a small miscommunication, you went even farther by offering us the larger rental of the 3 bedroom/2 bath for the same price as the 2 bedroom. We loved staying there, it was extremely clean and beautifully maintained. We felt right at home the minute we stepped in the door. The fireplace was wonderful and the beds were extremely comfortable, we also enjoyed the amazing waterfall in the back yard. And that awesome coupon book you let us use had everything we could have needed to any place in Albuquerque and we were able to save some money which is always helpful. The restaurant recommendations you gave us also helped tremendously and the food and staff were superb at Antiquity. All in all it's a vacation that brought many great memories and we have you to thank for a lot of those. Your a great host and people person and definitely got in the right business, We not only enjoyed your beautiful home but the personalized service that you give as if we were a part of your family. We hope to stay again in the future. Thanks again! David and Melony

Owner response:From the moment I booked this family, they treated me with the utmost kindness, trust and friendship that no innkeeper could imagine. This family, consisting of the mother and her family of 7 adults with spouses came out for a wedding in Albuquerque. They rented initially 1 home and then added on another for 2 homes to house all of them. They also rented a van and a luxury car from us in addition to enjoying the stretch limo. Never have i seen such an easy going family that new how to have a good time, cooking, playing cards, hot tubing and of course attending the wedding. They were so gracious and had so much love to share with everyone around them including me the innkeeper. I felt like a newly adopted member of the family and they treated as if I had known them forever. Whatever this mom, Darlene, did to raise the 7 children to the loving and kind adults they are today, is truly a marvel in this world we live in today. Congratulation on a successful trip to our land of enchantment, but the credit goes to you for being such an easy going, loving mother without prejudice and a wonderful sense of adventure. It was truly the a breath of fresh air dealing with this family! Take Care and we hope to see you back in NM. Horace

This was our first trip to Albuquerque and we wanted a safe, well-kept, single story 3 bedroom 2 bath house within easy access to all the city enchantments and at a good price. This "Blu Villa" easily satisfied all the above and each of the seven days we spent there was totally comfortable. This had all the amenities of home with 2 baths, 2 TVs, large living room, large combination kitchen and dining, laundry room, and remote controlled garage for the car. Our host, Horace, was available for any of the questions we had about the area and was quite knowledgeable about Albuquerque. We highly recommend this for anyone wanting a stay in Albuquerque!
Owner response:Wendell and Gloria were the most wonderful gracious house guests a vacation rental owner can have. They were an adventurous fun loving couple that came out to New Mexico as part of a 3 week southwest tour. I offered them local 2 for 1 coupons and pointed out local favorite restaurants and popular places that reflect the initial charm of the old RT66 highway now called Central Avenue. They enjoyed the restaurants in the area, and the best part was taking them with me to the automatic car wash to wash their car. They were so kind and thoughtful and reprogrammed my direct tv remotes that had been accidentally derailed by previous guests that didn't understand the remotes. Wendell even fixed a little problem with the cloths dryer door that decided not to close properly during their stay. What they didn't tell me is that a celebrity was staying in my home. Wendell an accomplished pianist that performs for broadway musicals and who has recorded several CDs was one of the three house guests. The most unique and wonderful gift that they gave me as a parting gift was a collection of 4 piano styling CDs of popular favorites that is absolutely charming. This piano music is so enjoyable and relaxing that I plan to us it in our cars for our chauffeured guests to enjoy and for dinner parties as well. Wendell and Gloria, and their Sister, were the type of renters all VRBO home owner/renters should be privileged enough to have. Thanks for the 4 lovely CDs that will live on as entertainment for all our clients ands guest to come! Happy Travels!

A great trip to Albuquerque for our group of four women! The "Blu" was perfect for our needs with a spacious, fireplace room to kick back and relax and plenty of sleeping space. Easy drive to Old Town and downtown and the option of a car with airport transportation included is so convenient. Owner is just a phone call away for questions or a limo ride. Nice backyard area with patio tables to enjoy the New Mexico sunshine. Recommend this property.

My sisters and nieces (8 women) had a wonderful 4 day week-end staying at the Blue Villa. We were met at the airport and picked up in a limo and we rented the van provided and used it to see areas outside of Albuquerque...enjoying the scenary of Jimez Mountains and Santa Fe. The balloon fiesta was fun and a sight to see. Overall we had a wonderful experience and Horace was a gracious host, making sure we had what we needed during our stay. I highly recommend staying in any of his rentals. He will make sure you have what you need to make your stay more enjoyable.

Doris YInger, Beatty family reunion, Cincinnati Ohio The house was beautiful and spacious. Everything was at our disposal. Horace was wonderful to help with selecting restaurants and places to see. The deck was great for having morning coffee or to relax in the evening. If you are going to Albuquerque, this is the place you want to rent and Horace is awesome.

From the moment I met you I felt comfortable here in Abq, in Rt66 Blue. It felt as though you were a trusted and loved member of my family. It is hard to believe my time here has ended and as such my proximity to you. You are a wonderful man and a gallant host. May you live well with a forever free spirit. We were coming to Albuquerque for a celebration and instead had to come a week earlier for a death in our family. I called Horace from the connecting airport on the way to Alb. and asked for help! He got us a home to stay in and a car to drive, he picked us up at the airport and drove us to the hospital. We stayed in two houses that were perfect homes away from home. They were impeccable and so was the service provided by Horace Martinez. I would never consider staying in a hotel after the incredible loving attention to our needs provided by Route 66 Thanks so much HoraceJay and Liane Brotz

We stayed May 09 in Route 66 Blue. This rental home was ideal for our mini-family reunion particularly because of the terraced outdoor patio. The 3 bedroom rancher home was spacious, super clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for our week stay. The laundry room was a blessing. We were located within a lovely safe subdivision. I have used VRBO in the past and this was one of my best experiences. The owner Mr. Martinez went out of his way to assure our stay was perfect-and it was. I hope to stay here again.

We normally stay in our RV when we visit Albuguerque, this year at Thanksgiving our adult children and their spouses were joining us. Needing something larger than the RV we found the Route 66 Celebrity Villa. What a find it was. This was the perfect place. The kitchen made preparing Thanksgiving dinner an easy task. The house is so spacious we all had our space, but were able to visit in comfort. The media room was great for watching the football games, while the ladies watched the parades on the 60" TV in the living area. Hoarace made sure our stay was comfortable and all are needs were met. We will be calling Route 66 first next time we visit Albuquerque.

Our stay at Route 66 "Blue" was everything we expected and so much more. The accommodations were exceptional. Four of us spent an entire week there from June 8th to June 15th. The location was convinient to all parts of ABQ, and to the interstates going going E/W or N/S. The neighborhood was quiet, and the house gave us a wonderful place to feel at "home" after busy days of golf and sight-seeing. We'll definitely plan on another stay.

Where do I begin? I spent an entire month at VRBO "Route 66" from mid-August to mid-September 2006. Various family members and friends from out of state came & went for a week at a time, and other times I was alone. We are former NM residents, for 11 years, so we know the area and all the things that are available to see and do. This is the nicest, cleanest, well-furnished, most comfortable, well located VRBO that I have stayed in in the Albuquerque area. The decor is stunning and the home is extremely well kept. Not only is the house lovely, but the patio area, with waterfall and goldfish pond, is a wonderful place to just sit and dream or to grill dinner. What a place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the weather and New Mexico. Everything that you could possibly need is included in the rental of Route 66. The owners and family are wonderful to deal with or to answer any questions you may have. I had reserved a month in 2008, but due to other issues am unable to keep that resevation, but I'll go back as soon as I possibly can. I cannot say enough about the home known as "Get your Kicks on Route 66"! What a fabulous place to stay. I highly recommend this home to anyone going to New Mexico for vacation. It is truly located in The Land of Enchantment.

This place is perfect. I've stayed there twice now and will make the attempt to stay again any chance I get to be in Albuquerque. The patio is a perfect place to wind down after a day and sip a coctail. And Laura and family are the best to work with, too.
