This luxury beach front home on the Isle of Palms is located only 25 minutes from Historic Downtown Charleston. Built in 1995 by Ilderton Contractors, known for their environmentally friendly homes and detailed woodworking, the house has 6 bedrooms, with upstairs and downstairs dens on the ocean side for group gatherings.
The first floor offers a spacious, hardwood foyer leading into an elegant sunken living room surrounded by columns. The living room is equipped with an entertainment center with T.V., DVD player, and stereo. Adjacent are breakfast and dining areas and a large open kitchen featuring all new appliances. All dinnerware and cookware are provided. The kitchen and living room overlook the ocean and lead to a spacious screened porch offering a dining area, ceiling fans, and rocking chairs. On the first floor is a Queen BR and a King BR with a full bath in the hallway. There is a half bath in the foyer.
The house also features two uncovered decks equipped with a grilling area. A spacious backyard is perfect for special occasions, plenty of outdoor activities, and offers a private winding pathway leading to the beautiful beach of Isle of Palms. As a convenience, private outside showers are located underneath the home, as well as beach chairs and boogie boards.
On the second floor, a King Master BR with a full glass shower provides an invigorating view of the ocean. Also, a large Queen BR has it's own art nook and private shower. Adjacent, a large den opens onto the upstairs deck. There are 2 Bedrooms sharing a full tub and shower, each with 2 twin beds with trundles allowing 4 people per room. Fresh linens are provided. A departure cleaning service is provided. There is parking for 4 cars under the house and 4 in the driveway.

We want to thank you for a more than perfect house for our recent stay on IOP. We were a large group and were more than comfortable in your home. The home warm and inviting. We had plenty of room for quiet time or to all gather in the kitchen to cook and share a great meal. We were very lucky with warm weather to enjoy the outdoors as well! Thank you very much and we will be back!

Hi Carolyn; I just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how much all of us enjoyed our stay in your BEAUTIFUL beach home! It was truly relaxing for all. We just sat around and talked, ate and walked on the beach the whole time ! (except for a brief shopping trip into the Charleston market!)

Dear Carolyn: Thanks so much for letting us rent your lovely beach home. Everyone had a great time and it fit us perfectly. My children remarked how comfortable everything was and we tried our best to keep it the way we found it. Our oldest son wondered where you got the quilted mattress cover for the upstairs bedroom next to the master. Also I would like to know where the wonderful cushy pillow on the master bed came from? Everything was perfect and we loved the floor plan. We never felt crowded and all could enjoy being together. Thanks again for a wonderful Christmas vacation complete with memories.

We had such a wonderful time and your house is just fabulous! We have decided if all is well with everyone, we would like to make this an annual "girls' getaway" every February! We enjoyed being at the house so much we actually cancelled our plans to go out Saturday night and we all just stayed in, ate leftovers, talked, laughed and some played board games. The good thing about the storm is that Saturday morning we all went out for a walk on the beach and hundreds of star fish and conch shells had washed up! It was beautiful (altho a bit sad for the star fish) and we enjoyed picking up a few unusual shells to take home. Thanks for the recommendation of Coconut Joe's - we ate lunch there on our way out Sunday. It was very good! The house was just lovely - so much room for each of us to have our own space - and the views were wonderful! Hope you find everything in order - we tried to leave it as nicely as we found it. Thanks so much for the "60th birthday" candies and napkins - they were a nice touch! We had a birthday cake for our 2 birthday girls so I think they enjoyed their time. We all had a delightful and much-needed weekend of replenishing our weary spirits - thanks ever so much for sharing your wonderful home and for all you did to accomodate us. We will certainly recommend you to others and look forward, hopefully, to planning another weekend with you next year!
