Hollywood house description

1500+ sq. ft. duplex, that comfortably sleeps 6, is an ideal space and is perfectly outfitted.
Centrally located on a quiet street at the convergence of 3 great L.A. Neighborhoods--Larchmont Village, Hollywood and Hancock Park, this duplex is less than a block and a half from the Melrose entrance to Paramount Studios and minutes away from great bars, restaurants, and shopping.

The master bedroom with a comfortable top-of-the-line queen size bed has two large closets and access to its own private deck. The adjoining bathroom's large shower features subway tiles and a skylight. The second bathroom, also newly renovated, has a combination bath and shower. No compromise here!
Bedroom number two is large and has a full size bed, ample closet space and lots of storage.
Included in this duplex is a 'sunroom' or 'bonus room' set up as either a workspace or an additional bedroom. The room includes a Serta pillow-top full-size futon.
The light-filled living room, framed with beautifully crafted windows comes equipped with a flat screen TV complete with satellite service (DirecTV).
There is access to a gated driveway but also has plenty of street parking.

The central location of this duplex is ideal for Los Angeles' many attractions. Within a few minutes of the duplex you will find the epicenter (an L.A. metaphor) of L.A.'s restaurant, theatre, club and bar scene as well as attractions such as the Hollywood Bowl, Pantages Theatre, Universal Studios, Amoeba Records, Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Grove, the Farmer's Market, Chinese Theatre, Jimmy Kimmel Show, Melrose Shopping District, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Petersen Automotive Museum, the Greek Theatre, and the Griffith Park Observatory.
Downtown attractions such as Disney Hall, the Music Center, Dodger Stadium, L.A. Live, MOCA, and the Natural History Museum are short drives away.

              This centrally located gem, a half block off of Melrose, is super close to Larchmont Village, one of L.A.'s premier restaurant and shopping areas. At the same time it is less than two miles to the heart of Hollywood, Hollywood and Vine. Universal Studios, LACMA, Dodger Stadium, the Grove, West Hollywood, the Hollywood Bowl, Greek Theatre, the Melrose Shopping District, and downtown attractions are also short drives away. The Paramount Studios tour is literally around the corner. Nearby you will be able to find a Pavillion's Supermarket, Trader Joe's and CVS.

              About the owner: I am a 60 something native Californian with a passion for L.A. My wife and I have lived here our entire lives with the exception of 4 years at Berkeley. It is often said that 'there is no place like home'. It is our goal that your VRBO experience at our duplex will truly feel like a home away from home, and help make your visit to Los Angeles memorable.

              Why the Owner Chose Hollywood:
              We chose this duplex because we have always been enamored with the style and warmth of L.A. architecture circa the 1920's, the beautiful neighborhoods of Hancock Park and Larchmont Village, and the vibrancy of Hollywood. With the 2014 remodel of the duplex featuring great new surfaces, fixtures and appliances, the charm and comfort that was already there, was beautifully enhanced. Our wonderful rental property has been a labor of love, and it shows.
