Available for summer weekly rentals. This fully furnished, spacious (1800 sq feet), bright, three bedroom, single-family home is on the Gulf side of the Tamiami Trail, north of Stickney Point Road in a quiet 1950s residential neighborhood. Walk 3/4 of a mile over the Intercoastal to Crescent Beach. Walk 1/4 mile to shops and restaurants on the Intercoastal where one can dine, rent a boat, jet skis, or sign up for a fishing trip. Ride your bike two miles to Siesta Key Beach on the sidewalk along Midnight Pass road or drive two miles to Turtle Beach. A Publix grocery store, Walgreens Drugstore, Old Navy, Hooters, Carrabas Italian Grill, Books-A-Million, and other shops and restaurants are all within a one mile radius.
On a Saturday morning, Sarasota (SRQ) Airport is a 22 minute drive. (for weekday driving add 5-7 mintues). Urban downtown Sarasota with wonderful and varied restaurants, shops, theaters, Whole Foods grocery store, and bars is 5 miles away. The quiet town of Venice is 15 miles south on the Tamiami Trail. Busch Gardens and TPA airport in Tampa are about an hour drive. Ft Meyers is about 80 miles down I-75 south. Overall, a very central location convenient to the beach and short trips to the store. For the 4th of July, walk to Siesta Key to watch the fire works and then walk home while the drivers idle in traffic for an hour to cross back to the mainland.
The house has an open floor plan with a bar-style kitchen counter open to a den and a formal dining area. It has tile floors, bright beach colors, and wonderful lighting in the morning and at sunset. A full kitchen with a dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, oven, and all the cooking utensils make meal preparation practical. There is a second refrigerator in the laundry room so buying in bulk for the long-term renters is possible. The master bedroom is spacious with its own bathroom and a big walk-in closet with windows. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, one bedroom has two single beds, and one bedroom has a queen size sleeper sofa. A crib can be provided and would fit in any of the rooms. The tile throughout most of the living area and small size of the home make it cozy and easy to keep tidy.
The full bath next to the smaller two bedrooms has a tub and shower. The den has a love seat and a queen-size sleeper sofa. A big office with plenty of room to work and a filing cabinet is located next to the den. French doors close the office off from the den for privacy. An internet connection can be hooked up via Comcast cable or Verizon DSL for an additional charge. The laundry room is next to the office with plenty of counter space to sort clothes as well as a sink.
At the front of the house, play cards or enjoy a drink on the covered porch as the sun sets in the west. The covered carport has room for two cars and there is room for a third car on the uncovered parking pad. The backyard is a big lawn that is unfenced and perfect for a small dog (under 35 lbs please) to run and play. Moms also have plenty of room to set up a toddler pool for daytime fun.
This home is perfect for an older couple seeking the warm weather and mild breezes from the Gulf in Jan -April, or the young family on vacation in a beach resort area during the summer. The office is a separate room with a long counter and plenty of space to set up shop for business.
