Columbia River National Scenic Area. Looking across the Columbia River and Memolose Island. Uphill from extensive Columbia River access and boat ramp. The new Klickitat River Trail nearby. Deer come to the yard, birds and crickets sing. Porch supports are Ponderosa Pine, river rock masonry and wooden shakes cover the front.

Inside, the living room has a wood stove and opens into a family equipped kitchen. Linens, fully furnished, air conditioner, washer and dryer. Three bedrooms, space and comfort. From the porch watch the sun setting, colors changing as the cliffs frame the waters. The brilliant stars come alive. This is an area of contrasts. Located in a dramatic transition zone between the northwest forests and the western plains. During Spring the area is sunnier that the Willamette Valley. The house is sheltered from the summer windsurfing winds, but in the Spring and Fall the winds abate, and many days the expansive Columbia looks like a tranquil lake.

Located near the town of Hood River. The 15 minute drive between the Hood River bridge and the Columbia Gorge House is breath taking. Give yourself time to meander and take in the unique vistas. Come experience a peaceful rest at this country home after your day of action.
