Les Oliviers invites travelers through the lavender-lined lane to experience a restful stay in a private gite, or apartment, attached to a Provencal Mas. The Bouche de Rhone Department of Tourisim has given this lovely property three stars, an indication of quality.
Les Oliviers is nestled between 40 olive trees on one side (don't forget to buy the house olive oil!), and wine vines on the other. The one and a half hector private property is filled with trees and a beautiful garden/play area. There is ample free parking within the grounds.
We offer two very comfortable one bedroom gites,which have been decorated to reflect the warm and welcoming provencal countryside.
GITE 1 has an American-style kitchen which opens up onto the delightful sitting and dining area. Large windows provide lovely views of the French countryside, drenched in sunshine. The bedroom features an antique provencal armoire, double-bed (160x200), and night stands. The bathroom has a large shower area and a washing machine.
Directly outside the kitchen is a private patio with barbeque for your enjoyment, the use of this is sometimes restricted by the local council according to the weather conditions
GITE 2 is two storey situated in the tower. The living area is on the ground floor with fully equipped kitchenette, and a large and beautiful bathroom with washing machine. The bedroom is on the first floor with double bed (140x200)and amazing views over the garden and countryside. There is also a private terrace with outdoor furniture and views over the delightful gardens. This gite is really only for two people. There is also air conditioning in the bedroom.
PLEASE NOTE The price is fully inclusive of gas, electricity, heating during winter, bed linen and towels and the final cleaning at the end of your stay. The price quoted is for 5 - 7 nights. We are able to accept stays of less than 5 nights, but please inquire for price.
We also offer BED AND BREAKFAST in the main house.
Les Oliviers offers hiking and biking (if you have your own bikes) from just outside the door.
The centre of St. Cannat is 2km from the gite, and has cafes, restaurants,(only open at lunch time), post office, stores, and a weekly market (Wednesdays)- not to be missed! St. Cannat is just twenty minutes from the beautiful town of Aix-En-Provence, and only 30 minutes from the port city of Marseille and 45 minutes from the airport.
As well as offering self-catering accommodation and bed and breakfast, we can offer a variety of extra services for our guests.

Guests have access to 1Mb wireless internet access. Just bring your wi-fi enabled computer.
French classes
For guests wishing to improve their language skills while on holiday, we offer a range of customised French courses with a qualified, native French language speaker. Courses must be booked before your stay. Get in contact for more information.

This was a first time ever for our family to experience living in someone else' s home as guests.Nicole, who I met by exchanging few e-mails made two bedrooms with baths available to my husband, myself and our 22 year old son in their home, since their other rental apartments were occupied.I thought it was quite nice of Nicole to let us into her home. The accomodations were very nice, clean and private. The breakfast served daily was very delicious and the entire family was very pleasant. It was interesting for us to be part of provancial life style for 4 days. Nicole gave as a lot good advise where to go and what to see. She speaks English very well, so it was easy to communicate. I would highly recommend this place. St- Cannat is in the heart of Provance ! Thanks Nicole and family for a wonderful stay !

I just ran across this charming little spot again as I was in my 'dreaming search' of returning to the Ax en Provence area. We stayed here a few years ago. The most enjoyable to me was coming home, heading down the olive tree lined driveway to our little gite, grabbing the bottle of wine and heading to the delightful patio. We ate every meal outside (early spring) and had total privacy. That said, this is a delightful French family that were so kind and friendly to us. We loved observing their daily lives. They even let us know the night before our departure that they would be leaving very early in the morning and would be absent to say good bye to us so we needed to do our three cheek kisses now. HOW SWEET IS THAT! Great value for the money. The location is easy to get around the Provence area and I could easily settle down in Ax without a hesitation.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.

We enjoyed staying with Nicole and Robert in their cute gite. It was very quiet in the pretty countryside. We did a little hike down the street into the hillside. The wifi was hard to get as we had to stand in the backyard to access.We would stay there again.
