Overview:
The Rosiers Suite is a lovely, one-bedroom apartment located on the Rue des Rosiers which is famous for its Jewish delis, and its designer boutiques. The building is very old (and the staircase shows it) but the apartment has been completely renovated. The suite is located on the first floor (French counting - it is up one flight from ground level) so it is very convenient.
The Rosiers suite is ideally situated for visiting the Marais which has become the home to trendy boutiques, interesting bars, and restaurants. Enjoy fun crowds on Sunday afternoons while strolling through the heart of one of the oldest parts of Paris.
Details:
The living/dining room is very nicely furnished and includes a wonderful old table for dining, and two lovely arm chairs.
There is also a couch (the French name is a "gigogne") that converts to a single bed, but with a trundle bed arrangement. It is quite comfortable, should you have an overnight guest.
A beautiful secretary houses a library of books on Paris, and provides a comfortable place to do your correspondence by pen and paper, or electronically if you bring your computer.
The kitchen (tiny by American standards, but small and nice by Paris standards) is very modern but charming. The kitchen includes a coffee maker, microwave, mixer, refrigerator, oven, and a four-burner stove top.
The bedroom has a king-sized bed (rare in Paris) with a wonderful, firm mattress and a large closet with good storage space. It looks out onto a nicely planted courtyard one floor below.
The toilet is separated in its own tiny room in the French tradition, and the bath tub in the bathroom does include a shower. Both are small but modern and highly functional.

We enjoyed the Rosiers suite very much. We liked the layout, location, and noticed that it was exceedingly quiet as well. Thank you. We will no doubt contact you regarding lodging on our next trip to France. Best wishes, Julie G. – Wilson, WY – USA

We wish to thank you both for being such kind hosts. As usual, we fully enjoyed our stay in France at your Loire Valley chateau, and your Paris apartment. We ate lunch frequently at 3 Rue Rosiers which has good French food, and is very busy with locals. We also enjoyed Pierre Cardin's art nouveau museum at his Maxim's restaurant. We plan to visit your New Orleans unit this spring. Yours very respectfully, Wilbur and Annabelle Laguna Niguel, CA USA

The place is very clean and much of it is updated. The building is not updated at all. The issue I had with the place is that there is no one there to greet you and if something goes wrong you are kind of on your own. The WiFi did not work when we arrived, the "local" representative was not in Paris and he took me through various steps to trouble shoot the problem, not the way I wanted to spend my first day in Paris. The view over the courtyard is really pretty ugly and we had construction going on in the apartment above us from early in the morning until 6:00. The owner did not offer any concessions for the fact that we could not occupy the apartment in peace for a major part of the day. The bathroom is split and kind of funky, but functional.
Owner response:The guest was provided the keys in advance so he could let himself into the apartment without having to worry about meeting someone. Anyone who's had to worry about a plane being late understands that this is the preferred way of handling arrivals. He let himself in without any problem and after fifteen minutes with our rep on the phone the WIFI was reset. As for not enjoying the apartment in the middle of the day, he was out touring Paris. We know; we tried to call him. A complaint about noise that no other guest, the week before, or the week after, heard... so in other words, he wanted to be paid off or he'd write a negative review...

Thank you very much for all of your help and advice during our stay. It was very nice of you to drop off the keys at our hotel in Tours. We had a great time in Paris, and found the Rosiers apartment to be a wonderful base and haven in which to stay. Lyn M. Brighton Australia

We enjoyed the Rosiers suite very much. This suite along with the Cluny and Luxembourg suites located on Rue de l’École Polytechnique are in wonderful locations. I'm not quite sure which one we will choose for our next trip (probably not until 2013). The restaurant L'As du Falafel was as described, and terrific. I particularly enjoyed the man who walked up and down the lines collecting for the meal and, if anyone hesitated more than two seconds in ordering, he told them what they were going to eat. The patisserie/boulangerie at the corner of Rue des Rosiers and Rue des Ecouffes were superb. I got a kick out of the cashier, an older man, who beamed with genuine delight when I was able to pay with the exact amount of cash. We were indeed able to get tickets to La Bayadère at the Opéra Garnier by going to the box office as you suggested. For 10 € each we were seated in a box with a beautiful view of the stage. Problem was, we were in the third row which we had a perfect view of the backs of the heads of the people in front of us. There was a simple solution - we turned the chairs around and alternately knelt and stood, and thereby saw the entire ballet which was wonderful. Michael L. Boise, Idaho USA
