Paris Arrondissement 9 apartment description
This is a self-catered, romantic hideaway, with working fireplace. The elegant Condorcet is a superb, contemporary 70 m² holiday apartment that has been recently renovated, further adding to its very classy appeal. As soon as you enter this space, a peaceful feeling comes over you, as if you have returned 'home'. It really could be your home if only for a short stay. The apartment was recently converted to a 2-bedroom apartment offering more privacy but not eliminating the spaciousness.
About the apartment: Large double-glazed windows span the length of the living room and dining area, letting in plenty of natural light. One of the benefits of this space is the double exposure with windows on both sides, ideal for letting in a nice cooling breeze on a warm summer’s day. You may find yourself lingering on the sofa in front of the large screen TV after your long day of sightseeing. Sit back, relax and enjoy a DVD or watch the international news stations on the cable TV. Stay in touch with friends via email through our wireless Internet connection. We will be adding a computer for your use this coming December. The living room has also been fitted with a very modern Chimney that neither creates odour nor smoke, for the comfort of everyone (including the environment). The real flame will take the chill our of any winter day and add to the warm and cozy atmosphere of the room.
About the apartment: The dining table can comfortably sit 6 people and will easily accommodate a large or an intimate meal. The large bedroom fitted with a queen size bed, has plenty of closet space so that you can empty your suitcases and really make yourself at home. The room overlooks a quiet courtyard and is equipped with a TV for late night sleepers. The second bedroom has two twin beds that can also be set up as a king size bed and plenty of storage space. There are two roomy cabinets underneath each of the sinks, ideal for storing bathroom accessories. The large fully equipped kitchen has everything you could imagine needing on holiday retreat and much more. This is also where we have a washer and separate dryer for your use. Enjoy breakfast in this warm environment sitting at the breakfast bar. Overall this is a Parisian lodging experience not to be missed. No small cramped hotel room here. This is spacious elegant living in Elegant Condorcet.
Guest comments: 'Thank you for a wonderful and magical weekend in Paris. I came to stay with my 3 best friends for my 28th birthday and it was the best birthday I've ever had. We didn't want to leave the apartrment as it was so beautiful. We were all very impressed at how clean and modern the apartment was. The shower was amazing, the beds (even the sofa beds) were so comfortable that we didn't want to get out of them! The modern kitchen and goregous dining table provided some lovely meals. The location was perfect and the welcome basket was most appreciated. We are definately coming back! Thanks.' from Anna, Marianne, Pauline and Claire, London

Paris in December
Elegant Condorcet delivered as promised in the advertisement. The people at Feels Like Home in Paris are easy to deal with and very helpful. The apartment is easy to walk to from Gare du Nord and central to an interesting part of Paris. The amenities in the apartment are good and we had no trouble cooking meals and staying warm. The lounge and dining area is reasonably large, as is the main bedroom. The second bedroom is a tight fit with the bed joined as a king-size and some light comes in from the street. This bedroom and the lounge also gets noise from the street when it is busy. The streets around the apartment have everything you could want, especially good bakeries and cafes and access to Montmarte and the Metro is easy. Overall we enjoyed our stay and found the apartment to be good value. Angela & Barry Flaherty Brisbane Australia

Manager response: Happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for leaving a comment. I am surprised to hear about the light from the street as there is both a sheer and dark heavier curtain. Perhaps you are saying it was coming from the sides. Perhaps it would be an issue for someone who is extremely light sensitive. We set up the beds to be on the opposite side of the room from the windows but I will take a look at this in closer detail to see what we can do. The apartment is street facing with the living room and the second bedroom both on the street side. By Paris city standards it is not the noisiest street as you only have one-way traffic and no buses passing in front but we are investigating double-glazed windows to render it even more silent.
Perfect - home from home!
Perfect - home from home!
My husband and I have been to Paris several times over the years but without the children. We've always stayed in small hotels and were always disappointed in them. The lobbies look great but when we got to our room we were always disappointed. The slogan that FLHP use ' hotels give you a room but we give you a home' is not just a slogan it's true. Our stay at Elegant Condorcet was just that: a home from home. It was perfect and our teenage children loved it. The decor was gorgorous, the beds fantastic, clean, lovely linen and bath towels and the location could not have been better. There were several bus stops just a stones throw away that took us in all directions throughout the city, and the metro and main stations were only 10 mins walk. And of course the Sacre Coeur is also just 10 mins walk up the hill. If anyone has reservations about how noisy the apartment might be during the night, there's no need to worry. There wasn't a sound - there was no through traffic during the night. Unfortunately, the week we stayed in Paris was perhaps one of the wettest July weeks in history, and every day we were so grateful to come back to our gorgeous apartment, dry off and relax. There are fantastic small specialist food shops, bistros and cafés on the adjoining street and even 2 large supermarkets within 5 minutes walk that are open until 10pm. So we were able to buy samples and eat them in peace at the apartment. Tip: avoid the queues at the Louvre and Musee d'Orsey in the morning and go in the evening - they both have late openings until 10 pm on particular days of the week. We only queued for the Louvre (Tivolli entrance) for 2 minutes!

Elegant Condorcet in Paris - Good Value
Elegant Condorcet in Paris - Good Value
Elegant Condorcet, managed by Feels Like Home In Paris is a very nice apartment in a very convenient location in Paris. My family of 4 college students and my wife stayed at this property for one week, and I don't think I could've found a better accommodation for the price I paid. I go to Paris for business on a regular basis, and pay the same amount for for 3 nights of a single hotel room. the first impression of the building was not great, the foyer, elevator and stairways look old, but things change inside the apartment. The pictures in the internet are very accurate. The apartment is very clean, very roomy for Paris Standards, and full of little details, like the tour guides, wireless internet, videos, and a well equipped kitchen with even a welcome bottle of wine. We had to wait at the airport as our arrival was early in the morning and the apartment was not ready, but Elinor was prompt to communicate the issue and we were able to check in a couple of hours later. Besides the apartment itself, we were thrilled to have a convenience store open until past midnight just across the street, a bakery on the corner, a cheese store with 200+ varieties of cheese a couple of blocks down the road and a wine shop in front of it. Baguettes, cheese and wine, isn't that what Paris is all about? A couple of metro stations with connections to the entire city are within 10 min walking distance (total 40 min to my work place at La Defence), and a bus stop in the corner with selection of bus routes. Opera, Arc de Triumph, Tour Eiffel, Louvre, NotreDame are all within 15 minutes, or even at walking distance if you are OK walking 45 min. Also, Montmartre and the cool restaurant area is just 15 min away walking. All in all, we are very satisfied, wished this apartment was located in a nicer building, but then would've had to pay a lot more. We are recommending this property to our best friends and hope they enjoy it as much as we did.

Manager response: So glad you had a good time at Elegant Condorcet! Thank you for your positive comments, we hope to welcome you back to Paris soon.
My father, brother and myself stayed in this wonderful apartment in October 2009. There was more than enough room for three adults in three separate beds. The accomodations were fantastic. This apartment is very well-appointed and has everything needed for an extended stay. Absolutely everything we needed was provided. The bathroom and kitchen were modern and beautiful. The beds were comfortable, and the neighborhood was quiet at night for sleeping. The apartment is a quick walk to the Poissoniere metro station, and also to Gare du Nord. The area is safe, and there are dozens of markets, bakeries, and restaurants in close proximity. Joseph was extremely helpful - a great host. Thank you so much for this lovely home away from home!

We spent four wonderful sunny days in Paris and loved the comfortable, clean, modern and elegant appartement near Sacre Coeur. It's equipped with a lot of technical features making live easy and luxury. Organisation was brilliant by e-mail, sms, phone, and we've got a warm welcome in the appartement from Yetunde with a lot of helping information around the appartement and all questions tourists have in Paris!

Have been considering how to write a review for some time. Was actually in the process of sending your website to a friend who is visiting Paris next May. Had a wonderful time in Paris. Rue Condorcet is an ideal location between two metros Poissonniere and Anvers and five minutes from Gare Du Nord for Eurostar. Absolutely lovely apartment for three or up to five even. Everything you need is supplied in the kitchen. The beds are very comfortable and the shower gives lots of hot water and is easy to work out. The main bedroom looks out onto a pretty courtyard and there are so many places to buy food or eat out, nearbye. The computer is a boon especially with my luggage going missing, The place was spotless and my daughter was made welcome when she arrived and told the location of places to buy necessities. The apartment was remarkably quiet for such a well visited part of Paris. Thank you for helping make our stay in your beautiful city so memorable.
